Burial will be in Cave Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at Lawrence Funeral Home in Moulton. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Houston died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born Dec. 9, 1922, in Lawrence County to Elmer and Novella Bradford Fretwell. She was a homemaker and a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She was the widow of Roy Houston and the sister of the late Nadine Appleton and Louise Burks.
She is survived by one son, the Rev. Roger Houston of Town Creek; one daughter, Shelby Morris of Decatur; two sisters, Ruby Meadows of Gardendale and Syble NeSmith of Town Creek; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dempsey Flemings, Steve Houston, Tony Burks, Tommy Appleton, Tommy Ennis and Bill Agee.
Men from New Zion Baptist Church will be honorary pallbearers.

TRINITY -- Private graveside service for Larry Reid Maddox, 58, of Tanner will be at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens with Parkway Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Maddox died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1941, in Peoria, Ill., to Elmer and Florence Maddox. He was a retired line technician for Caterpillar.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Milligan Maddox; four sons, Tom Berry and Larry Berry, both of Kentucky, Alvin Berry of Georgia and Phillip Maddox of Utah; four daughters, Ann Carpenter of Illinois, Barbara Childs of Kentucky, Michelle Kramer of Ohio and Candy Strickfaden of Texas; one brother, Louis Maddox of Illinois; two sisters, Barbara Underwood of Illinois and Doloris Adams of Idaho; 20 grandchildren; and seven great-grand- children.

Mr. Martin died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, in Lexington. He was born Sept. 26, 1950, in Lauderdale County to Marvin and Estella Zella Herston Martin. He was a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Mae Martin; one son, Chris Martin of Town Creek; one brother, Johnny Lee Martin of Lexington; and one sister, Annie Marie Green of Lexington.

Mr. Mitchell died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at his home. He was born April 12, 1954, in Morgan County. He was a truck driver for J.L.T. Inc. and a member of Oak Grove First Congregational Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Mitchell; two sons, Dewayne Mitchell of Somerville and Aaron Mitchell of Trinity; three daughters, Nicole Pettey of Somerville, Bridjette Powers of Speake and Kellie Roy of Trinity; his parents, the Rev. C.L. Mitchell and Freda McCarley Mitchell of Somerville; two sisters, Vicki Green of Somerville and Judy Turney of Madison; and seven grandchildren.

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Memorial service for William O. Pence, 45, of Melbourne was Friday at Bethany Baptist Church. His body is to be cremated and his ashes scattered at sea.
Mr. Pence died Feb. 1, 2000, at Holmes Regional Medical Center. He was born Oct. 3, 1954, in Decatur to William Ralph Pence and Cornelia Otte Pence. A graduate of McEwen High School in Tennessee, he served 14 years in the U.S. Navy and was a postal worker for the Indialantic post office in Florida for the past 10 years.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kathy Pence; one son, Randy Pence of West Melbourne; three brothers, James Pence of Somerville, Joseph Pence of Hardinsburg, Ind., and Simeon Pence of Decatur; and three sisters, Barbara Ann Henderson, Patricia Cathcart and Mildred Pence, all of Decatur.

She is survived by two daughters, Myrtle Beall of Decatur and Berta McCormick of Hartselle; 15 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hamilton is survived by five sons, James Hamilton of Decatur, Jeston Hamilton of Hartselle, Johnny Hamilton, Harris Hamilton and Jerry Hamilton, all of Somerville; two daughters, Kathie Lambert of Hartselle and Regina Chandler of Decatur; one brother, Richard Hamilton of Decatur; two sisters, Euva King of Muscle Shoals and Mamie Cloer of Indianapolis, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
