Funeral for Carrie M. Beavers, 86, of Decatur will be Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. William Hacker officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 5 to 6:30 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Beavers died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at her home. She was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Huntsville to James W. and Lillie Mae Stolz Schrimsher. She was retired from Decatur City Schools and was a member of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church for 56 years, where she worked in the nursery. She was the widow of William C. Beavers.
She is survived by two daughters, Hazel Dietrich and Betty Belovsky, both of Decatur; one brother, Bob Shannon of Gurley; two sisters, Berta Gambrell of Huntsville and Mary Hill of Owens Crossroads; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Howard Sullivan, Lewis Miller, Glen Sullivan, Mitchell Williams, Ted Brightwell and H.P. Lawrence.
Birlen Childers

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Birlen Childers, 71, of Eva will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Eva Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Willis, the Rev. Chuck Handy and the Rev. Phillip Robinson officiating.
Military Burial will be in Lawrence Cove Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Childers died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at his home. He was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Morgan County to M.O. and Vera B. Childers. He was a farmer, a member of the Eva Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Childers; two sons, Benny H. Childers and Michael G. Childers, both of Eva; three daughters, Judy D. Morgan, Patsy D. George and Carol A. South, all of Eva; three brothers, O.Q. Childers and Billy Childers, both of Eva, and Laco Childers of Vinemont; five sisters, Ruby Bailey of Cullman, Susie Childers of Eva, and Elizabeth Holmes, Angie Veal and Bernice Chesser, all of Cullman; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marty Childers, Tyler Childers, Jeremy George, Richard George, Jon Morgan and Robert South.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cullman County.

Mr. Crabtree died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, in Limestone County. He was born Jan. 7, 1957, in Michigan. A resident of Limestone County for most of his life, he was a member of Carey Road Baptist Church and a maintenance supervisor at Athens-Limestone Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Christa Crabtree; one son, Paul Crabtree of Athens; two daughters, Melanie Wise and Emily Crabtree, both of Athens; one brother, Joey Crabtree of Athens; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Beams, Ed Meadows, Joe Owen, Ronnie Nordin, Danny Adcock and Steve Green .
Co-workers at Athens-Limestone Hospital will be honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Hubbard died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. He was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Decatur to Paul C. and Emma Sue Vest Hubbard. He served in the U.S. Army and was the business manager at This, That and The Other.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Hubbard; four sons, Mike Sandoval of Cullman, Dennis Sandoval, Bobby Sandoval and Jerry Hubbard Jr., all of Decatur; one brother, Jimmy Hutson of Decatur; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Mitchell died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Medical Center Shoals Hospital. He was born March 26, 1947, in Lawrence County. He served in the U.S. Navy and was an employee of Champion International Corp. for 27 years.
He is survived by his wife, Velvet Ann Mitchell; two sons, Bryant Mitchell of Muscle Shoals and Andre Garner of Hillsboro; three daughters, Tamonica Orr of Courtland, Regina Jackson of Madison and Evangeline Hawkins of Leighton; his mother, Mattie Eva Mitchell of Town Creek; eight sisters, Amelia B. Mr. Cheatham died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1915, in Caddo. He was a steamfitter retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority Colbert Steam Plant. He was a member of Steamfitter Local No. 760 for 58 years, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rising Sun Masonic Lodge in Decatur, Zamora Temple in Birmingham and First United Methodist Church in Sheffield.
He is survived by his wife, Argie Boggess Cheatham; two sons, Hurley Dennis Cheatham Jr. of Muscle Shoals and John Robert Cheatham of Woodstock, Ga.; one daughter, Carolyne Jane Cheatham of Decatur; three sisters, Alyne Grant of Decatur, Frances Tedford of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Sarah Owens of Atlanta; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Corum died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. She was born July 9, 1909, in Lawrence County. She was a homemaker and a member of Austinville Church of Christ.
She is survived by one son, Jack Corum of Decatur; two daughters, Margaret Sain and Joy Hale, both of Decatur; two brothers, Austin Stewart and Herschel Stewart, both of Hillsboro; three sisters, Eva Kadlec of Decatur, and Dena Hamilton and Marie Moultrie, both of Moulton; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. McMillan died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was born May 20, 1899, in Lawrence County to Frank Neopolian McMillan and Penola Wallace McMillan. She was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church. Her caretakers were Judy and Wayne Henderson of Hartselle.
She is survived by two nephews, Price McMillan of Sherwood, Ark., and W.A. McMillan of Jacksonville, Fla.
Pallbearers will be Don Crowe, Bobby Rhoads, Eugene Speegle, Charles Sanford, Harold Morris and Wayne Henderson.
