Funeral for Kathleen Kennedy Haney of Decatur will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Hal Noble officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Roselawn Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Haney died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at her home. She was born in Limestone County to John and Ida Mae Vaughn Rowe. She was retired from Security Mutual Finance Co. and a member of Central United Methodist Church and the Good Fellowship Sunday school class. She was the widow of Charles Bates Haney.
She is survived by two sons, Lynn Haney of Decatur and John Haney of Marietta, Ga.; one daughter, Pat Smithson of Decatur; one brother, Charles Hoffman Rowe of Montgomery; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Witty Allen, Jimmy Bentley, Jimmy Haney, Tommy Haney, Greg Rowe and Gene Teal.
Harold Eugene Harris

Funeral for Harold Eugene Harris, 58, of Decatur will be Thursday at 1:10 p.m. at King's Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Wylheme Ragland officiating.
Burial will be in Sterrs Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Harris died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born July 7, 1940, in Morgan County to Leroy and Clotile Dawson Harris. He was an engineer with the U.S. Army Missile Intelligence Agency at Redstone Arsenal and a U.S. Army veteran, who served in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Tuskegee Institute and a member of the Huntsville-Decatur Chapter of Tuskegee National Alumni Association. He was a member of King's Memorial United Methodist Church, where he served as chairman of the administrative board, on the trustee's board and with the United Methodist Men and Council on Ministries. He also was on the board of directors for Boys and Girls Club of America.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Harris; two daughters, Yolanda Beth Harris and Amanda Harris Goodson, both of Decatur; his mother of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Birgan, Theodore Dixie, Robert Franklin, Alex Gilmore, Floyd Jones, Earl Matthews, John Rainey and Walter Sutherlin.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Kidney Foundation.
Doris 'Neline' Lansdell

Mrs. Lansdell died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1929, in Lawrence County to Harvey F. and Virgie Brannon Carpenter. She was a retired lunchroom manager and a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of Carzie Lansdell and the sister of the late Billy G. Carpenter.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane L. Waldrep of Leighton and Barbara L. Graves and Debra L. Ridgeway, both of Town Creek; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be L.W. "Bud" Johnson, Joe Hardin, Chip Henley, Samual M. Lansdell, Regzey Carpenter and Norman Ligon.
Patricia Jackson Weathers

TRINITY-- Memorial service for Patricia Jackson Weathers, 65, of Trinity will be Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Duane N. Maas officiating.

Mrs. Weathers died today, Feb. 23, 2000, at her home. She was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Scott, Miss., to Harold and Dorothy Taylor Jackson. She was an alumna of Mississippi State College for Women, now Mississippi University for Women, in Columbus, Miss. For years, she taught English, Latin and mythology at Austin High School. She also was employed as a teacher by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Dhahran. She was the recent president of Trinity Area Senior Citizens organization.
She is survived by her husband, Hoyt Melton Weathers; three daughters, Lea Ann Vogt of Hartselle, Susan Lynn Weston of Niceville, Fla., and Jan Louise Thatcher of Decatur; one brother, retired Col. Harold Lee Jackson Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Guy Braxton Blackwell II

Graveside service for Guy Braxton Blackwell II, 80, of Palm Coast, Fla., will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Richmond Webster officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Blackwell died Jan. 23, 2000, at Flagler Memorial Hospital. He was born in Decatur. After serving as a first lieutenant senior grade in the Navy Seabees in World War II, he spent 10 years in Radnor, Pa., and then moved to Floram Park, N.J., where he lived for 28 years. His family has lived in Palm Coast since 1996.
He was an engineering graduate of Auburn University, where he was president of Kappa Sigma Fraternity for two years and later a Golden Eagle in the Auburn Alumni Association. He retired from Harris Structural Steel Co., where he was vice president of sales and contracts. He was a professional engineer and a life member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association and St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Palm Coast.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Bennett Blackwell; one son, Guy Braxton Blackwell III of Morris Plains, N.J.; one daughter, Lisa Bennett Blackwell of Palm Coast; one brother, Sidney L. Blackwell of Texas; and one grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Buel Brown; four brothers, William Smith and Edward C. Smith, both of Danville, John Paul Smith of Cullman and Roy T. Smith of Vermillion, Ohio; and two sisters, Louise Smith of Danville and Irene Cutchens of Falkville.

Mr. Cowan died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield. He was born Oct. 15, 1967, in Lawrence County. He was a former member of the Courtland High School band and was a member of Jackson Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and a retired maintenance mechanic for Terry Construction Co. He was the brother of the late Bill Knox, Namon Knox, Truman Knox and Talmadge Knox.
He is survived by his wife, Pearline Royer Knox; one daughter, Betty Ann Knox Wright of Falkville; three brothers, Oscar Knox, Walter Knox and Odis Knox, all of Hartselle; and one sister, Laverne Knox Henry of Hartselle.

A former Decatur resident, he attended McElwain Baptist Church and served in the 117th Airwing of the Alabama National Guard. He attended St. Bernard College in Cullman and graduated from McGill Institute in Mobile. He was a businessman in Germany and Leesville, La.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Minter Randall, formerly of Falkville; two sons, Jesse Randall and Willis Jay Randall Jr., both of Hoover; one daughter, Monique Von Lintel of Hoover; one sister, Jessie Ebsen of Lewisville, Texas; and six grandchildren.
