Mrs. Harris died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born June 24, 1937, in Morgan County to Prince and Sally Hendrix Burns. She was the widow of John H. Harris, a laboratory technician at Monsanto and a member of First Assembly of God.
She is survived by four sons, John Michael Harris of Nashville, Steve Harris of Decatur and Jeffrey L. Harris and William F. Harris, both of Hartselle; one daughter, Elizabeth J. Tyler of Hartselle; three brothers, Curly Burns of Cullman, Ed Burns of Texas and Billy Burns of Alabaster; one sister, Willie Hill of Decatur; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Oliver Davidson, Mike Wilhite, Kendall Chevas, Bobby Robinson, Cleveland Cyer and Rick Langham.

Mrs. Lee died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Giles County, Tenn., to Amos and Mary Dickey Hobbs. She was a retired nurse and member of Ruth Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Lee of Hartselle; one daughter, Jean Ann Joner of Decatur; one sister, Odessa Smith of Pulaski, Tenn.; two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Burial will be in Oden Ridge cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Lindsey died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1921, in Morgan County to John Newton and Roxie Viola Garrett Lindsey. He was a sign installer with Ellet Neon Signs in Springfield, Ohio, and a World War II Navy veteran who served 36 months in the Southwest Pacific.
He is survived by his wife, Venia Brinkard Lindsey; five sons, Joseph Thomas Lindsey Jr. of Loon Lake, Wash., Frank Glenn Lindsey of Springfield, Ohio, Allen Dale Lindsey of Lakemore, Ohio, Richard A. Simmons of Falkville and David E. Simmons of Eva; five daughters, Virginia "Jude" Collins of Lakemore, Ohio, Rosemary Bartram and Leisha Simmons, both of Falkville, Donna Hillyer of Akron, Ohio, Teresa Kinney of Eva; one brother, Waymon Lindsey of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Lucille Dillon and Gladys Hindricks, both of Mesa, Ariz.; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bailey died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at home. He was born Jan. 23, 1943, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Charles Dwight and Helen Carman Bailey. He was a 1961 graduate of Decatur High School and operated Bailey's Discount near Kahoka from 1963-85. He also was a salesman for Ball Volvo and GMC in Kahoka for 23 years. He was a member of Kahoka United Methodist Church and was a charter member of the former Kahoka Jaycees. He was an original member of the Kahoka Betterment Committee and for a number of years had been Clark County Republican Party chairman. He chaired the 97th, 98th and 99th Old Settlers Committee. An avid golfer, he was a member of Twin Lakes Golf Course. He was the brother of the late Stephen Bailey of Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Marie Bailey; one son, Daniel L. Bailey of Kahoka; one brother, Charles Dwight Bailey III of Marshalltown, Iowa; two sisters, Karen Foust of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Laura Olmstead of Unionville, Mo.; and his mother.

Mr. Brackin died Monday, March 13, 2000, at his home. He was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Lawrence County. He was a retiree of Reynolds Metal Company, a deacon at Donald Baptist Church and the son of the late Andy Buford Brackin.
He is survived by his wife, Syble Brackin; two sons, Perry Brackin of Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, and Barry Brackin of Town Creek; two daughters, Denise George of Moulton and Cindy King of Lexington; his mother, Earline Brackin Smith of Decatur; one brother, Wayne Brackin of Town Creek; three sisters, Barbara Stewart of Decatur and Vona Elkins and Reba Sibley, both of Mount Hope; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Jennings died Monday, March 13, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 27, 1904, in Morgan County to Robert Dixon and Hattie Hardage Chunn. She was the mother of the late Elliott Jennings and Cornal Jennings Jr. Mrs. Jennings was a homemaker, a member of Valhermoso Springs Christian Church since 1915 and was named Deaconess Emeritus of the church in 1997.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Jennings of Houston, Texas, and Lloyd Jennings of Sanford, N.C.; one sister, Sarah Rodgers of Pensacola, Fla.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Murphy died Monday, March 13, 2000, at her home. She was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Morgan County to Gilbert Eugene and Mary Eugie King Sr. She was the widow of W.L. Murphy and the sister of the late Gilbert King Jr. Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker, a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, a volunteer for Hartselle Medical Center, an active member of Women's Missionary Union, American Association of Retired Persons, Baptist Children's Home, Country Cousins, Meals on Wheels, Senior Circle, Oaks Club, Decatur Christian Women's Club and Golden Circle.
She is survived by one son, James Darrell Murphy of Hartselle; one daughter, Denise Murphy Bates of Hartselle; two brothers, Bobby Ray King and Charles Ronald King, both of Hartselle; four sisters, Mary Ruth Burch and Wynell Nell Dobbins, both of Hartselle, Shirley Faye Howard of Huntsville, Betty Lou Randolph of New Boston, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Tanner died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham. He was born May 21, 1910, in Morgan County to Thomas Jefferson and Darthula Ida McAnally Tanner. He was a self employed barber, land developer and home builder, a member and deacon of First Baptist Church, a mason, a member of Woodmen of the World Society, Knights of Pythias and Sons of the Confederacy, a city council member and mayor pro-tem for four years. He served on the Hartselle City School Board 16 years, served on the Board of Equalization eight years and worked as a welder and pipe fitter during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Landers Tanner of Hartselle; four sons, Billy Charles Tanner, Orville Joe Tanner and Thomas Jeff Tanner, all of Hartselle, and John Freeman Tanner of Birmingham; two sisters, Ola Mitchell of Hartselle and Inez Watkins of Somerville; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Watkins, Gary Watkins, Mike Landers, Don Lyle, Wayne Lyle and Larry Tanner. Honorary pallbearers will be the Arrington Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wellden died Monday, March 13, 2000, at Columbia Medical Center Huntsville. She was born Nov. 16, 1921, in Danville to William Yancey and Eugenia Prater Yancey. She was a member of the Madison Genealogical Society and the Church of Christ. She also was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She was the widow of Robert Clyde Wellden and the stepmother of the late Forrest Wellden and Johnny Wellden.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda F. McLemore of Athens; one stepdaughter, Patricia Burgreen of Athens; two sisters, Myra Kay of Huntsville and Ruth Lindsey of Union Grove; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
