HARTSELLE -- Funeral for James W. Singleton, 72, of Somerville will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Royce Teague officiating.
Burial will be in Russell Cemetery on Pines Church Road. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Singleton died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. He was born May 27, 1927, in Marengo County to Elbert P. and Annie L. Singleton. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a Baptist and a retired welder. He was the widower of Margaret Irene Singleton and the brother of the late E.P. Singleton.
He is survived by three stepdaughters, Frances Abbott and Sue Boyd, both of Adamsville, and Stella Kelley of Birmingham; two brothers, Tommie Lee Singleton of Corinth, Miss., and L.J. Singleton of Demopolis; and one sister, C.J. Bedsole of Demopolis.
Pallbearers will be Robert Truss, Nathan Truss, Bo Truss, Ray Truss, Randy Truss and Linnie Truss.
Eulyla 'Lila' Stovall

Funeral for Eulyla "Lila" Stovall, 93, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stovall died today, Aug. 23, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born July 21, 1906, in Mount Hope to Jesse Ab and Emma Roberson Counts. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and retired from Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Co., now BellSouth. She was the widow of Homer B. Stovall.
She is survived by nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Russell Bolding, Bob Rahm, John Rogers, J.A. Tucker, Hugh Hillhouse, Johnny Washburn, David Bolding, Ralph Agee and Hack Ross.

Mrs. Taymon died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at her home. She was born Feb. 29, 1928, in Green brier Cove. She was the widow of Richard Taymon and was a retired hairdresser.
She is survived by one son, William Larry Terrell of Lacey's Spring; two stepsons, Bobby Taymon of Owens Cross Roads and Richard Taymon Jr. of Tanner; one stepdaughter, Elisa Taymon Pugh of New Hope; three grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five great-step-grandchildren.
Arnold Adair
79, World War II veteran
MOULTON -- Funeral for Arnold Adair, 79, of Danville will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Aldridge Grove Church of Christ with Kenneth Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Mr. Adair died Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at Moulton Healthcare. He was born June 6, 1920, in Lawrence County. He was a retired farmer, an elder at Aldridge Grove Church of Christ for more than 30 years and a World War II veteran. He was widower of Louise Jacobs Adair.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. Adair; two sons, Hoyt and Gene Adair, both of Moulton; one daughter, Rosemary Brewer of Moulton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Lee Brewer, Stephen Brewer, Jason Adair, Martin Adair, Dallas Yeager and Ray Woodard.

Clifton Griffin
87, longtime farmer
Funeral for Clifton Griffin, 87, of Hartselle will be Thursday at noon at Oakville Missionary Baptist Church with the Bishop Rev. Paul White officiating.
Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing. The body will be in the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Griffin died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at South Morgan Health Care Center. He was born April 26, 1912, in Oakville. He was retired from Medical Park Convalescent Center and was a longtime farmer. He was a deacon at Oakville Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Warren Griffin of Hartselle and Gary Taylor of Danville; three daughters, Bobbye Taylor and Eunice Orr, both of Hartselle, and Doris Sharpley of Decatur; 29 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Graveside service for Eleanor Kelly Jefferson, 86, of Gainesville, Fla., was held Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Sandra Martin officiating.
Mrs. Jefferson died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, in Alexandria, Va. She was born May 13, 1913, in Mayo Fla. She was the widow of Col. Wayne Jefferson and the mother of the late Lt. Col. James Jefferson.
She is survived by one son, Maj. Gen. Wayne Jefferson of Alexandria; two daughters, Laura Platter of Columbia, Md., and Patricia Foxx of Decatur; one sister, Sue Hoag of Detroit, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Robinson died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, Gatesville, Texas. She was born Sept. 23, 1976, in Huntsville. She was a corrections officer and was attending Century Texas College pursuing a degree in criminal justice. She was a member of Marlboro Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Antoine Robinson; one son, Marselis Robinson of Killeen; her parents, Washington Lee and Beatrice Yarbrough Lee of Harlingen, Texas; and one sister, Marilyn Lee of Killeen.

Mrs. Mitchell died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born in Calhoun County to James Allen Box and Lillie Harmon Box.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald "Jerry" Mitchell of Decatur and Tolan Mitchell of Gainesville, Ga.; one daughter, Linda Smith of Moulton; four brothers, William Harmon Box, James Lamar Box, Richard Allen Box, all of Anniston, and J. Gerald Box of Paducah, Ky.; three sisters, Jimmie Lee Bauldin of Anniston, Ruby Marie Mack of Laurel, Miss., and Mary Lou Retty of Nokomis, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
