Mr. Pylant died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, at University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital. He was born April 18, 1980, in Limestone County to Kenneth Ray Pylant and Shelia Pylant. He was a landscaper.
Survivors include his father of Athens; his mother of Ardmore, Tenn.; one sister, Kristina Pylant of Ardmore; one half-brother, Shannon Pylant of Smithville, Tenn.; his grandmother, Evelyn Pylant of Huntsville.

Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at Big Springs Specialty Care Center in Huntsville. She was born July 13, 1938, in Decatur. She was a retired cafeteria worker and worked in Decatur City Schools for 15 years. She was a member of Austinville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Tullie Brown; one son, Randy Brown of Decatur; one daughter, Penny Brown Duling of Decatur; two brothers, Bobby Bolan of Town Creek and Sherman Bolan of Decatur; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Harbin died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at NHC Nursing Home in Murfreesboro. She was born July 8, 1913, in Scottsboro, to Rob and Josie Pendergrast. The widow of Emmett Harbin, she was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness Church in Shelbyville, Tenn.
She is survived by two brothers, Eugene Pendergrast and J.P. Pendergrast, both of Murfreesboro; and three sisters, Ola Mae Pendergrast, Victoria Rhodes and Lorene Gannon, all of Murfreesboro.

The infant died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2000, the day of his birth, at Decatur General Hospital.

Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1919. He was a retired commercial fisherman and owner and operator of Johnson's Grocery at Lacey's Spring for 30 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Pat Madewell of Huntsville, and Carolyn Malone and Ocie Madewell, both of Lacey's Spring; two brothers, Robert Johnson of Boaz and Alvis Johnson of Fall of Rough, Ky.; three sisters, Mary Dell Long of Owens Cross Roads, Lucille Phillips of Florence and Edna Mae Gray of Indiana; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Michael William Shareck Jr.
79, retired fighter pilot
Memorial service for retired Col. Michael William Shareck Jr., 79, of Decatur will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church.
Private funeral service will be at Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, Va., with Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville directing.
Shareck died Tuesday at his home. He was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Dunkirk, N. Y. He was a fighter pilot in the Korean War and commanded the 331st Fighter Interceptor Squadron in Texas. His last active duty assignment was as Director of Operations at Hancock Field in Syracuse, N.Y. for the 35th Air Division. He retired from the U. S. Air Force after 30 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie P. Shareck; two sons, Michael William Shareck III of Virginia and Richard W. Shareck of Harvest; one daughter, Michele Wells of Decatur; one brother, Everett P. Shareck of Denver; one sister, Joan Mathers of Rochester, N. Y.; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Smith died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in Danville. He was born July 16, 1920, in Franklin County. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from Cook's Pest Control, where he worked for 17 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Smith; three daughters, Joan Tidwell of Danville, Barbara Aldridge of Decatur and Jean Billings of Huntsville; four brothers, James Smith and Raymond Smith, both of Birmingham, Billy Joe Smith of Athens and Johnny Martin of Mississippi; one sister, Christine Alford of Mobile; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Whitson died Sept. 2, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Nov. 14, 1969, in Morgan County to the Rev. Luther Owens and Irene Davis Owens. She was a graduate of Austin High School and worked at General Electric as a control table operator. She was a member of David Temple, where she worked with the youth department, was choir member and kitchen committee member.
She was the mother of the late Kendall DeShawn Whitson who will be buried with her.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Whitson; her parents of Hillsboro; two sisters, Avis Matthews of Decatur and Pamela Owens of Hillsboro; grandmother, Mattie Davis of Hillsboro; and grandfather, James D. Walker of Hillsboro.

Ms. Boyer died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000, at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation of Decatur. She was born July 11, 1922, in Morgan County to Robert Ed Boyer and Mary Ellen Tapscott Boyer. She was a retired laboratory technician for Monsanto and a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church. She was the sister of the late Pat Boyer and Buck Boyer.
Survivors include four brothers, Paul Boyer of Deer Creek, Ill., David Boyer and John Boyer, both of Hartselle, and Brent Boyer of Priceville; and three sisters, Helen Baker of Green Valley, Ill., Sally Weise of Washington, Ill., and Beryl Hess of Creve Couer, Ill.

Mr. Brown died Monday, Sept. 4, 2000, in Limestone County. He was born Feb. 15, 1929, in Elkmont to William Ed Brown and Mamie McWilliams Brown. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant in 1984. He became a minister in 1968 and served as pastor of Delrose Church, Blanche Chapel and Petersville Church.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Leona Horton Brown; one son, Michael Brown of Birmingham; one daughter, Cassandra Brown of Atlanta; two brothers, Thomas Ed Brown and Charles Henry Brown, both of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mary Lee Whitfield of Indianapolis and Ever Jean Smith of Seattle; and eight grandchildren.
