Mr. Sims died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Dec. 18, 1957, in Decatur to Jimmy O. Sims and Melonae Watson Sims. He was chief executive officer of Cyl-Tec Industries, a stockholder for Defco, Inc., and vice president and owner of Swiss Turn and Machine Co. He was a 1976 graduate of Decatur High School and a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Sims; his father of Hartselle; one son, Blake Watson Sims of Hartselle; and two sisters, Barri Edmondson of Hartselle and the Rev. Bonnie Romans of Tuscaloosa.

Funeral for Lymos Bobby Young, 60, of Moulton was to be today at noon at Our Father's Business Outreach Center in Hillsboro with the Rev. Richard Mason officiating and Sharpley Funeral Home directing.
Burial was to be in Moulton City Cemetery.
Mr. Young died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 8, 1940, in Lawrence County to Earnest Young and Hattie Louise Young. He was a member of Our Father's Business and a machine operator at Wolverine Tube.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Young; five sons, Richard Mason of St. Louis, Chris Young and Marcus Young, both of Moulton, Lymos Young of Florence and Joseph Young of Decatur; two brothers, Marshall Young and Earnest Young, both of Moulton; four sisters, Minnie Gholston of Mount Hope, Annie Gossette of Spartanburg, S.C., Louise Jones of Moulton and the Rev. Samella Young of Aliquippa, Pa.; and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Lasater died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1920, in Madison County to William J. Lasater and Lizzie Jones Lasater. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Lacey's Spring Church of Christ. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in both Sicily and Italy. He received the Fame Ribbon and three Battle Stars. He was the widower of Elizabeth T. Lasater.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence J. Lasater of Huntsville and James Lasater and Earl Birdsong, both of Lacey's Spring; two daughters, Gayle Saint of Lacey's Spring and Linda Pollard of Somerville; 15 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Miller died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 19, 1930, in Lawrence County to Jesse Rowland Miller and Erie Miller. He was a retired carpenter and a U.S Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Denham Springs Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Miller; four sons, Joe F. Miller, Ronald Miller, Mark Lee Miller and Jesse Rowland Miller, all of Denham Springs; two daughters, Darlene Miller of Decatur and Sheila Pate of Holden; two sisters, Christine Martin and Zola Chandler, both of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Mills died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born June 14, 1947, in Dover, N.J. He was a military analyst at Redstone Arsenal.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Vessels Mills; one son, Greg Mills of Knoxville; one daughter, Becky Mills of Knoxville; one stepson, Chuck Vessels of Athens; one stepdaughter, Vicki Johnston of Athens; his parents, Paul J. and Eleanor Mills of Mascot, Tenn.; two brothers, Ken Mills and Tom Mills, both of Knoxville; and two grandchildren.

PENSACOLA -- Memorial services for Arden Prather, 80, of Pensacola, Fla., and formerly of Decatur, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Mr. Prather died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2000, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. He was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Akron, Ohio. He was a retired U.S. Army warrant officer. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Pensacola and Decatur. He was the widower of Betty Irene Prather and the brother of the late Adrian Prather of Ohio and Ann Cowley of Arizona.
Survivors include one son, David Prather of Pensacola; two daughters, Sandra Smith of Moulton and Cheryl Parker of Decatur; three brothers, Claude Prather of Doylestown, Ohio, and Richard Prather and Don Prather, both of Akron, Ohio; four sisters, Delores Myers Belton of Texas and Helen Lynch, Dorothy Orians and Bertie Lou Prather, all of Akron, Ohio; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be in the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Berryman died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 6, 1911, in Lawrence County to David Edward Berryman and Lawrence Walker Waldrep Berryman. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and was a member of the Lawrence County Democratic Executive Committee for 43 years. He attended Mount Zion Freewill Baptist Church and was a retired TVA employee.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Lowery Berryman; three daughters, Jewel Newton, Deborah Davis and Nancy Blankenship, all of Town Creek; one brother, Flur Berryman of Town Creek; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

ANN ARBOR, MICH. -- Private funeral services for Peter Fodale, 72, of Ann Arbor, Mich., will be Friday in Ann Arbor.
Mr. Fodale died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Arbor Hospice in Ann Arbor. He was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Sicily, Italy. He was a retired University of Michigan linguistics professor and department chairman. He received the honor of Professor Emeritus upon his retirement. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathleen Wiley of Ann Arbor; two sons, Stephan Peter Fodale of Decatur and Michael F. Fodale of Marquette, Mich.; one sister, Pauline Jacobs of Westland, Mich.; and three grandsons.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Tarwater; three sons, Thomas E. Tarwater of Allentown, Pa., Robert W. Tarwater of Lilburn, Ga. and William A. Tarwater of Athens; two brothers, Chalmus Williams of Muscle Shoals and Dawes Williams of Hodges; two sisters, Willard Underwood of Oak Ridge, Tenn. and Ruby Sanders of Muscle Shoals; and seven grandchildren.
