Mrs. Holmes died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at home. She was born Feb. 9, 1911, in Cullman County to Emmett Wallace and Fannie Martin Wallace.
Survivors include her husband, Murphy Holmes; one son, Weandell Holmes of Eva; two daughters, Wanda Alexander of Eva and Leavell Wilkinson of Cullman; three brothers, Kelley Wallace, Paul Wallace and J.C. Wallace, all of Jones Chapel; three sisters, Marie Clay and Joy Tucker, both of Jones Chapel, and Ellen McCormick of Russellville; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Long died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Medical Center Shoals. She was born Oct. 8, 1927, in Alabama to Rufus Box and Fannie Canup Box. She was a retired janitor.
Survivors include one son, Glen Box of Florence; one daughter, Faye Box of Town Creek; and two brothers, Charles Box of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Junior Box of Courtland.

Mrs. Parker died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at her residence. She was born April 30, 1914, in Lawrence County and was a retired seamstress. She was the widow of William G. Parker.
Survivors include four sons, Delmar Parker, Kenneth Parker and Travis Parker, all of Moulton, and Donald Parker of Decatur; three daughters, Annie Jewel Daniel, Willie Merle Elrod and Mattie Susan Dutton, all of Moulton; one brother, Olis Hamby of Moulton; three sisters, Eva Whisenant and Onie Whisenant, both of Moulton, and Edna Hamby of Texas; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wilcox died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Limestone County to Eli Wilcox and Ila Hardy Wilcox. He was a member of Ephesus Church of Christ.
Survivors include uncles, aunts and cousins.

Mr. Blankenship died Oct. 4, 2000, at his residence. He was born Sept. 16, 1909, in Morgan County to Hezzekiah Blankenship and Willie Ann Lawrence Blankenship. He was a member of Pathway Baptist Church and a retiree of Diamond Shamrock.
Survivors include one son, Macon Blankenship of Ohilocothy, Ohio; two daughters, Patsy Gail Davis of Blountsville and Barbara Seylar of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Mr. Cox died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Annex in Florence. He was born May 14, 1918, in Limestone County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving several commendations. He was retired from Brach's Candy Co. in Chicago, and he had lived in Florence for the past 22 years. He was a member of Helton Church of Christ and the widower of Pauline Pounders Cox.
Survivors include one son, Jody Wayne Cox of Lansdale, Pa.; one daughter, Brenda Cox Molitor of Florence; two brothers, Lucian Cox of Decatur and Rudolph Cox of Athens; three sisters, Martha Romine of Rogersville, Latane Sims of Auburndale, Fla., and Marjorie Brooks of Memphis; and one grandson.
Earl Benjamin Falls

DOUBLE SPRINGS -- Funeral for Earl Benjamin Falls, 82, of Cullman was Aug. 2 at Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Frankie Godsey and the Rev. Steve Rogers officiating.
Burial was in Fairview Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Falls died Monday, July 31, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 31, 1918, in Winston County to Basil and Naomi Barnett Falls. He was a construction worker and was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for both Winston County Commission and the state Department of Transportation. He was a former employee of Holland & Woodard Construction and of Larry Hood Contractors until May 2000. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran, having served from 1940 to 1960, stationed at various times in the South Pacific, Europe, Australia, Central and South America and the United States. He was awarded numerous medals and commendations, including the American Service, American Defense, Good Conduct with five bronze loops, World War II Victory, and National Defense. He retired as a master sergeant from Homestead Air Force Base in Florida. He attended Assembly of God Church and was the widower of Francis Wheeler Falls and the sister of the late Bertha Falls.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Williams Falls; one stepdaughter, Regena Brown of Milton, Fla.; one stepson, Kenneth A. Overton of Enterprise; one sister, Eleanor Burdick of Tuscaloosa; four step-grandchildren; and one step-great -grandson.
Pallbearers were Larry Williams, John Brown, Donald Brown, Jeremiah Brown, Brandon Pruitt and Kevin Miller.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a retired shipbuilder for Ingalls Iron Works. He was the widower of Martha Lucille Johnson and the father of the late Barbara McNutt.

Survivors include three nephews, Rufus Penn of Danville, Carl Penn of Montgomery and Richard Penn of New Jersey; and six nieces, Jane Reeder of Danville, Gay Denham of Decatur, Ga., Mary Murphy of Tuscaloosa, Teresa Leaphart of Huntsville, Jackie Penn of Athens and Susan Tunstill of Hartselle.
