Mr. Hughes died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at his home. He was born Jan. 21, 1963, in Georgia to James Henry Hughes and Ella Marie Stancil Hughes. A member of Millcreek Baptist Church, he attended Falkville High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was a bricklayer and worked for DeWitt Contracting of Florida.
Survivors include his parents of Falkville; two daughters, Roseanna Dawn M. Hughes of Oakman and Constance Sophia Hughes of Montgomery; and two sisters, Jacquelyn Hughes Gandy of Guntersville and Rose Ann Ivey of Sylacauga.

Mrs. Ledbetter died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Morgan County to D.S. Hill and Jenny Perry Hill. She was a food service worker for Marriott Corp. and a member of Valhermoso Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, James David Ledbetter and Johnny DeWayne Ledbetter, both of Valhermoso Springs; five daughters, Frances Brown and Audrey Malhotra, both of Valhermoso Springs, Shelia Gray of Gurley, Diane Johnson of Hartselle and Linda McClellan of Empire; one brother, Dave Dudley of Valhermoso Springs; six sisters, Ella Mae Henderson, Martha Dickerson, Jody Brown, Frances Turner and Ebby Lee Thomas, all of Valhermoso Springs, and Margie Walls of Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

ATHENS -- Funeral for Joseph Shelton, 48, of Phoenix will be today at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Don Osborne officiating.
Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from noon until time for the service.
Mr. Shelton died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at his home. He was born June 25, 1952, in Tucson, Ariz., to Clark and Donna Shelton. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Church of Christ. He was the brother of the late Robert Shelton.
Survivors include one brother, Sidney Alan Shelton of Arizona; and one sister, Karen S. Griffith of Plano, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Todd Alan Griffith and Tony Griffith.

Mrs. Graves died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at her home. She was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Morgan County to Gus Pike and Eliza Bonds Pike. She was a homemaker and a member of Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church. She was the widow of Fred E. Graves, and the mother of the late Walter Graves, Fred E. Graves Jr. and Gus O. Graves.
Survivors include two sons, Alton Graves of Decatur and Earl Graves of Union Hill; two daughters, Nora Rivers of Somerville and Lora Barber of Ridge Springs, S.C.; three brothers, Onie B. Pike of Michigan, Donald Pike of Georgia and Charles Pike of Lacey's Spring; two sisters, Mary Graves of Dora and Virginia Rozell of Huntsville; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Harbin died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Athens Convalescent Center. She was born June 6, 1920, in Limestone County to Henry Williams and Edna Irene Hodges Williams. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was the widow of Richard Harbin.
Survivors include one son, John Thomas Harbin of Athens; one daughter, Judy Harbin Rochell of Elkmont; one sister, Lela Williams of Athens; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kilgo died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1923, in Logan. He was retired from the U.S. Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal as a contract negotiator, and was past president of Alpha Tau Omega at The University of Alabama. Mr. Kilgo was past treasurer of The University of Alabama Alumni Association, and a former member of The University of Alabama rifle team. He was a lieutenant in World War II, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Silver Star, and he also served in the Korean War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Logan United Methodist Church. He was the brother of the late Doris Styles.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Jo Kilgo; two sons, John H. Kilgo and Richard Kilgo, both of Decatur; one daughter, Karen Robinson of Prattville; one brother, Eddie Kilgo of Cullman; two sisters, Robbie Howard of Cullman and Juanita Calvert of Scottsdale, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Patton died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born April 28, 1920, in Morgan County to Walter S. Jones and Flossie Baker Jones. She worked at the Eva post office and was an active member of the Church of Christ for more than 60 years. She was the widow of Claud H. Patton.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Patton Eddleman of Vinemont; two brothers, Harold Jones of Denver and Donald Jones of Gadsden; one sister, Eloise Kelley of Gadsden; one granddaughter; and two great-grandsons.

Mrs. Prater died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. She was born May 31, 1920, in Jefferson County to Edgar Thomas and Ozzie Wyatt Thomas. She was a nurse for 30 years, worked with Foster Grandparents for a number of years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur. She was the sister of the late Edgar Arnold Thomas and Earl Clayton Thomas.
Survivors include one son, Sonny Edgar Bone of Trinity; one daughter, Hazel Foshee of Huntsville; two sisters, Joyce Phillips and Ada Motes, both of Birmingham; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was farmer, a retired pipefitter supervisor and a member of Trinity Church of Christ. He was the brother of the late Lorene Bullard, Joe Wheeler French and William Miles French.
Survivors include two sons, Steven S. French of Trinity and Roger French of Decatur; one daughter, Charlotte Hamilton of Trinity; three sisters, Gladys Gilliland and Daisy Moebes, both of Decatur, and Thelma Sons of Trinity; and six grandchildren.
