ADDISON -- Funeral for Rodney Alan Wright, 19, of Decatur will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Royce Teague, the Rev. David Jones and Sandy Gibson officiating.

Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Nichols Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Wright died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at The University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham. He was born Sept. 3, 1981, in Decatur to Charles Wright and Barbara Ward Wright. A 2000 graduate of Addison High School, he was a motorcycle mechanic at D&H Cycles of Vinemont.

Survivors include his parents of Decatur; two brothers, Shelton Wright and Chase Wright, both of Decatur; his grandparents, Haskel Ray Ward and Deborah Ward of Addison, Hollie S. Wright and Henrica Wright of Crestview, Fla., and Paul Chamlies and Faye Chamlies of Decatur.

Pallbearers will be Joey Morgan, Joey Glenn Morgan, Ricky Young Sr., Ricky Young Jr., Jason Clark, Kerry Anders and Nicholas Ward.

Marie Clemons
91, homemaker
HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Marie Clemons, 91, of Falkville, will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Garrison officiating.

Burial will be in Hartselle Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Clemons died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born July 14, 1909, in Morgan County to Wade Slaten and Liz Ann Bryant Slaten. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Clemons was the widow of Luther Clemons and the mother of the late Katie Clemons and Annie Jo Long.

Survivors include two sons, John W. Clemons of Hartselle and Benny H. Clemons of Moulton; three daughters, Evelyn Harvel and Lucille Lackey, both of Hartselle, Mildred Terry of Taylor, Mich.; 30 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John E. Clemons, Rickey Lackey, Lynn Harvel, Gary Harvel, Michael Long and Richard Long.

Woodrow Wilson Golden
81, retired steel worker

CULLMAN -- Funeral for Woodrow Wilson Golden, 81, of Cullman will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Wood officiating.

Burial will be in Cullman Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Golden died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born April 16, 1919, in Lawrence County to Henry Alvin Golden and Adrian Violet Wear Golden. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving for four years in Belgium, Normandy and France; a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church; and a retiree from U.S. Steel after 32 years of employment.

Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Lou Steele Golden; two sons, Woody Dale Golden of Hanceville and Daniel Wilson Golden of Cullman; two daughters, Rachel Yeager of Trimble and Violet Lou Golden of Cullman; one brother, William Golden of Tyler, Texas; one sister, Lucille Flippin of Decatur; eight grandchildren; one step-grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

Gertrude B. Grubbs
96, homemaker

ATHENS -- Funeral for Gertrude B. Grubbs, 96, of Athens will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Round Island Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Green and the Rev. Randy Davis officiating.

Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home and at the church for one hour before the service.

Mrs. Grubbs died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Limestone Health Facility. She was born Jan. 1, 1904, in Madison County. She was a homemaker and a member of Round Island Baptist Church. She was the widow of Richard Grubbs and the mother of the late Melvin Grubbs, Wayne Grubbs and Ann Scott.

Survivors include one son, William Grubbs of Sheffield; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Great-grandsons will be pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Round Island Baptist Church.

Anne Tracey Hieronymus

ATHENS -- Anne Tracey Hieronymus of Athens died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. Spry Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Hieronymus was born in Scotland and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Athens. She was retired from Printers Publishing Co. of New York.

She is survived by May Case of Athens.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Maxine C. Vest
47, human resources manager Friskies Pet Care

Funeral for Maxine C. Vest, 47, of Hartselle was Wednesday at Roselawn Funeral Home with Church of God Bishop Bobby L. Morgan, the Rev. Jerry Grimes and the Rev. Pat Lawrence officiating.

Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Vest died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at her home. She was born July 19, 1953, to William Melvin Crow and Mildred Wood Crow. She was a member of South Decatur Church of God. She attended Calhoun Community College, where she was listed in Who's Who in Junior Colleges in America and earned honors in Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society for two-year colleges. She then transferred to Athens State University, where she was inducted into Delta Mu Delta, an honor society for business students. She was named the top human resources management student. She graduated summa cum laude. She was active in the Society of Human Resource Management and served on the society's Board of Governors. She also served as a loaned executive for United Way of Morgan County and in Partners in Education. She was human resources manager for Friskies Pet Care in Decatur.

Survivors include her husband, Howard R. Vest; two sons, Bobby Matthew Atchley and William Wesley Atchley, both of Pulaski, Tenn.; her mother, Mildred W. Crow of Moulton; two brothers, Gary Crow of Florence and Clyde Crow of Moulton; two sisters, Shelby C. Smith and Patricia C. Blackwood, both of Moulton; three stepsons, Howard Jonathan Vest of Decatur, Howard Joseph Vest of Priceville and Paul Bradley Vest of Banner Elk, N.C.; and five granddaughters.

Pallbearers were Ray Walker, Don Minor, Ben Roper, L.D. Keeton, J.C. Brannon, Ray Johnson, Chet Ellis and Robert Stephenson.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.

William Henry Cole

DECATUR -- Graveside service for William Henry Cole, 47, of Decatur will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Morgan and the Rev. Charles Foreman officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Cole died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at his home. He was born March 28, 1953, in Decatur. He was a maintenance worker for Fluor-Daniel Construction and a member of Deer Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Cole; three sons, Marlon Cole of Falkville, Matt Cole and Marty Cole, both of Decatur; one stepson, Shane Pullam of Decatur; his parents, Oakley and Evelyn Cole of Decatur; and five brothers, Eugene Cole, Charles Cole, Mark Cole, Lamar Cole and Phillip Cole, all of Decatur.

Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Lance Long, Homer Long, Jody Keeton, Tim Widner and Leeman Woods.

Anna May Dansby
62, Kmart retiree

FALKVILLE -- Graveside service for Anna May Dansby, 62, of Falkville will be today at 3 p.m. at Cook Cemetery with the Rev. Lonnie Skinner officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ms. Dansby died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born March 27, 1938, in Staten Island, N.Y., to Charles F. Ramberg and Anna Mae Okeson Ramberg. She was retired from Kmart.

Survivors include two daughters, Sherrie L. West of Falkville and Roberta M. Pierle of Chesapeake, Va.; two brothers, William Ramberg of Millington, Tenn., and Charles F. Ramberg of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Glenda Jean Hughes of Tampa; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Beatrice Irving
79, retired manager of Wheeler Dam Store

FLORENCE -- Funeral for Bea-trice Irving, 79, of Town Creek will be today at 3 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Florence with Bernard Dawes officiating.

Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville.

Mrs. Irving died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence. She was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Lawrence County, Tenn. She managed the Wheeler Dam Store for 18 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was the widow of the late Ira "Pop" Irving.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Duplissey of Wheeler Lake; four sisters, Viva Blackburn of Arizona, Lizzie Pierce of Florida, Ruby Dossai of Michigan and Vera Foster of Tennessee; three brothers, Austin Toungett, Deumont Toungett and Henry Toungett, all of Tennessee; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Letson, Dickie Thomas, Quintus Fielder, John Toungett, Ronnie Jones, Tim Toungett and Mark Toungett.

Sam 'Ziggy' Janis Sr.
82, General Electric retiree

GIRARD, Pa. -- Private memorial service for Sam "Ziggy" Janis Sr., 82, of Girard will be held with Jaworowicz Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Janis died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2000, at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Girard. He was born Sept. 22, 1918, in Canonsburg, Pa., to Felix and Rose Janisewski. He was a longtime resident of Erie, Pa., where he was employed by General Electric. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and an avid hunter, fisherman and baseball player.

Survivors include two sons, Samuel Janis Jr. of Decatur and Stanley Janis of Venetia, Pa.; two daughters, Florence Janis of Homestead, Pa., and Rose Atkinson of Kittanning, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley, P.O. Box 2745, Decatur, AL 35602.

William Henry 'Buddy' Kelley
78, retired poultry worker

MOULTON -- Funeral for William Henry "Buddy" Kelley, 78, of Hillsboro will be today at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with the Rev. Junior Hale and the Rev. Harold Letson officiating.

Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.

Mr. Kelley died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born May 26, 1922, in Morgan County. He was a retired poultry worker.

Survivors include one sister, Birtie Aday of Hillsboro.

Nephews will be pallbearers.

Hershel R. Muston
81, Occidental Chemical retiree

TUSCUMBIA -- Funeral for Hershel R. Muston, 81, of Muscle Shoals was Friday at 2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tom Whatley and the Rev. Barrett Long officiating.

Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery in Town Creek.

Mr. Muston died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield. He was a retired Occidental Chemical worker and a World War II Air Force veteran, who served in the South Pacific. He was a former member of the Muscle Shoals Lions Club and was a member and in the pastor's class at Woodward Avenue Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals.

Survivors include his wife, Clarine B. Muston; one son, Johnny Muston of Muscle Shoals; one daughter, Debbie Carter of Moulton; one sister, Nina "Tincy" McGregor of Courtland; and three grandchildren.

Members of the pastor's class at Woodward Avenue Baptist Church were pallbearers.

Winford Parker
65, retired TVA hydro helper

MOULTON -- Funeral for Winford Parker, 65, of Town Creek will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerome Parker officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Blackground Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Parker died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1935, in Alabama to James Thomas Parker and Bertie Waldrep Parker. He served in the Army and was a retired hydro helper with Tennessee Valley Authority. He was the widower of Ann Parker.

Survivors include three sons, Leroy Parker of Town Creek, and Mitchell Parker and Freddie Parker, both of Decatur; one daughter, Wanda Ballinger of Town Creek; one sister, Ruby White of Town Creek; and eight grandchildren.
