Mr. Phillips died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1946, in Decatur to Clarence Phillips and Faye Berry Phillips. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles in Decatur. He was an Air Force veteran and was a shipping and packaging clerk for Moseley Technical Inc. at BP.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Phillips; one son, Chuck Phillips of Trinity; two daughters, Sandy Johnson of Hartselle and Kim Parker of Decatur; his mother of Trinity; one brother, William Ray Phillips of Decatur; one sister, Kathy Phillips Owens of Trinity; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Johnson, Chuck Phillips, Barry Owens, Kent Johnson, Ray Phillips, Wayne Johnson and Philys Parker.

FLORENCE -- Funeral for Mynatt W. Sandlin, 81, of Florence was to be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home.
Burial was to be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Sandlin died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 29, 1918, in Hartselle. A member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a United Auto Workers member and was retired from Ford Motor Co. as a millwright after 28 years. He was the widower of Jean Ryan Sandlin.
Survivors include one son, Don Sandlin of Pulaski, Tenn.; two daughters, Janice Green and Debbie Clanton, both of Florence; two brothers, Vernon Sandlin and Shirley Summerford, both of Hartselle; two sisters, Verna Mae Fields of Hartselle and Barbara Gandy of Falkville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Allen Parker, Sandy Fields, Gary Thompson, Tommy Pigg, Bill Cary and Allen Gandy.

Mrs. Simmons died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born March 21, 1918, in Lawrence County to Cleveland and Era Franks. She was a member of Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 33 years. She also worked at the Decatur Animal Shelter and in the cafeteria at Austin High School. She was the sister of the late Robert Franks, Alfred Franks, Sam Franks and Dorothy Ellenburgh.
Survivors include one son, Leon Simmons of Athens; one daughter, Debbie Mellette of Huntsville; two brothers, Hoyt Franks and Troy Franks, both of Ohio; five sisters, Faye Smith, Christine Thrasher and Ruby Truitt, all of Decatur, Olene Wahlmeier of Augusta, Ga., and Merle Lacy of Hartselle; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Lacy, David Lacy, Neil Smith, Bobby Franks, Roger Truitt, and Gary Franks.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Tucker; one son, Michael David Tucker of Athens; one daughter, Suzanne Denise Smith of Priceville; one sister, Mary Lee Whitehead of Glenn Allen; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Woodall died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at National Health Care Center in Moulton. He was born Jan. 22, 1914, in Cullman County. He grew up in Tuscumbia and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from Reynolds Aluminum Co. and was a member of First Baptist Church in Town Creek.
Survivors include one granddaughter, Misty Woodall of Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Barclift died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Oct. 12, 1915, in Morgan County to Claud McBride and Lena Lee Rivers McBride. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hartselle and retired as a business education teacher from Hartselle High School after 40 years. She was the widow of Leo Barclift.
Survivors include one sister, Grayce Wasson of Hartselle.

He was the owner of Langtown Skating Rink and co-owner of Burneys Sporting Goods. He was the brother of the late Clayton Hazle, J.D. Hazle and Lorene Sanderson. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, Harold Hazle of Moulton.

Mrs. Hice died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2000, at her home. She was born May 6, 1911, in Oklahoma. She was a retired cafeteria manager at Owens Elementary School and a member of Cartwright Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Norman B. Hice and Marshall E. Hice, both of Athens; one sister, Eunice R. Morgan of St. Cloud, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Howard died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 6, 1932, in Morgan County. He was the owner and operator of Alberta Grocery and Service Station and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Howard was the former principal and assistant principal at West Morgan High School. He taught in the Athens City School system and graduated from Athens State College with a master's degree in education. He was past president of the Flint Civitan Club and a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, a Sunday school superintendent and a member of the choir.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Lou Howard; one son, Randall Lee Howard of Decatur; one daughter, Carla Lynne Crocker of Gastonburg; his mother, Margaret Lee Howard of Marion; one brother, Frank Howard of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Ruth Inglewright of Scottsboro and Joann Guire of Beaumont, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kevin Avritt, Stan Bradford, Charles Moore, John David Phillips, Terry Smyly and David Wright.
