Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Morris died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Sunbridge Nursing Home. He was born June 26, 1924, in Lawrence County to Ray Morris and Delia Boyd Morris. He worked at Alabama Hosiery Mill, retired from Monsanto, and owned and operated Luther's Used Cars. He was a member of Caddo Congregational Church.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Pearl Waters Morris; two sons, Jerry Ray Morris of Birmingham and Gerald Dean Morris of Huntsville; two daughters, Betty Morris Terry of Decatur and Charlotte Ann Landham of Killen; one brother, John Marvin Morris of Moulton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Rodney D. Terry, Craig Terry, Brandon Todd, Brian Morris, Joel Reagin and Mark Waters.

TRINITY -- Funeral for James W. "Shorty" Nelson, 73, of Moulton was Sunday at 2 p.m. at Moulton Church of God with the Rev. Oneal Franks and the Rev. Rick Taylor officiating.
Burial was in Moulton Memory Gardens with Parkway Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Nelson died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at his home. He was born May 7, 1927, in Lawrence County to W.B. and Hattie Nelson. He owned Nelson Antiques and was a member of Moulton Church of God. He was the brother of the late Harrison Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Myrl Nelson; five sons, Marlon Nelson, Mark Nelson, Jim Nelson, Marvin Nelson and Timmy Nelson, all of Moulton; one daughter, Marlene Nelson Guttery of Centre; two brothers, Jack Nelson of Decatur and Tommy Nelson of Moulton; three sisters, Flossie Burns of Decatur, and Annie NeSmith and Ruth McCay, both of Moulton; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Marlon Nelson, Mark Nelson, Jim Nelson, Marvin Nelson, Timmy Nelson and Marlene Nelson Guttery.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. at Florence City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Owen died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at Limestone Health Facility. She was born Sept. 8, 1912, in Florence to Mr. and Mrs. Lunceford W. Douglass. She was a homemaker and a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John M. Owen Sr.; one son, John M. Owen Jr. of Kansas City, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Prince died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at home. She was born Aug. 18, 1939, in Decatur to Herman D. Golden and Flora Burnham Golden. She was a retired nurse from Decatur General Hospital, where she worked for 28 years. She was a lifetime member of Oak Park Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Elbert Prince; two sons, Rick Prince of Decatur and Wendell Prince of Winston-Salem, N.C.; her mother of Pulaski, Tenn.; one sister, Doris Golden Baker of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roy Borden, Bill Little, Sonny Holmes, Merv Waugh, Wayne Thomas Jr. and Billy Peebles.
Hazel Emaline Rogers

Graveside service for Hazel Emaline Rogers, 85, of Memphis, formerly of Decatur, will be Tuesday at noon at Roselawn Cemetery with Truman Sandlin officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rogers died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at American Transitional Care in Memphis. She was born June 21, 1915, in Blount County to Alison Lafayette Rhodes and Jocie Thompson Rhodes. She was a secretary for Life of Alabama Insurance and a member of Central Baptist Church in Decatur for 65 years.
Survivors include her husband, Oliver T. Rogers; one son, Tommy Wayne Rogers of Jackson, Miss.; one daughter, Vicki Sandlin of Germantown, Tenn.; one sister, Carnice Lyles of Birmingham; and four granddaughters.

Mrs. Watkins died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation of Decatur. She was born in Birmingham to Garland D. Crawford and Cora Williamson Crawford. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where she was in the Crane-Hagerman Bible Class. She was a graduate of Riverside High School and attended the University of Tennessee. She was a secretary in the Ordinance Department in Washington, D.C., and at Chemstrand Corp. (now Solutia) in Decatur. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Watkins; one son, Stephen L. Watkins of Birmingham; her mother of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Rogers, Raymon Baker, Ed Davies, David Nebrig, Henry Richter and Cooper Frazier.

Mrs. Hargrove died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born June 8, 1936, in Limestone County to Marvin Poteete and Theo Coffman Poteete. She worked for Sweet Sue Kitchens in Athens for 29 years. She was the widow of Paul Hargrove, the mother of the late Ricky Hargrove and the sister of the late Billy Poteete.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Allison of Elkmont, and Patricia Higginbotham and Mickey Carter, both of Athens; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. Hargrove died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Morgan County to Wiley Leslie Hargrove and Verna Springer Hargrove. He was a member of Hartselle Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and was retired from Fruehauf. He was a cattle rancher and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Hargrove; two sons, Terry Hargrove of Danville and Tim Hargrove of Hanceville; eight sisters; one brother; and three grandchildren.
Burgess Clayton Harris

CULLMAN -- Funeral for Burgess Clayton Harris, 61, of Addison will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Moulton with Ed Grice, Larry Wright and Daryl Woods officiating.
Burial will be in Moulton City Cemetery with Williams-McCracken Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 9 at the funeral home, and the body will be at the church from 9:30 until the time of the service.
Mr. Harris died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2000, in Stillwater, Okla. He was born Jan. 7, 1939, to Lowe Harris and Katie Burgess Harris. He was widely known in the sport of drag racing. In his 30 years of racing, he won numerous awards and several world championships as a driver, owner and crew chief. He was noted for his engineering innovations and had several mechanical patents. He was the widower of Peggy Terry Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Eulene Maddox Harris; three sons, Jon Harris of Decatur, Rex Harris of Moulton, and Patrick Millican of Stillwater; two daughters, Terri Byars of Moulton and Meagen Harris of Denver; one sister, Elaine Mote of Moulton; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Mitchell died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born March 20, 1982, in Nashville. He was a 2000 graduate of West Limestone High School and a member of Shanghai Baptist Church. He was an instrument operator at Athens Land Surveying Co. He was the grandson of the late Pearlie Mitchell.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Donna Mitchell of Athens; and his grandparents, Herbert and Margie Coleman of Athens.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald Pitt of Trinity and Tom Pitt of Mont Eagle, Tenn; two daughters, Joy Murphy and Annie Mears, both of Decatur; one brother, Will Lancaster of Trinity; four sisters, Mavene Compton and Lois Cartee, both of Trinity, Hazel Watkins of Decatur, and Shirley Morris of Athens; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was born April 12, 1911, in Morgan County to O.W. Bass and Alice Sims Bass. She was retired from Tennessee Valley School in Hillsboro as a lunchroom supervisor, and was the mother of the late Larry Terry and Donald Terry.
Survivors include one son, Dean Terry of Hillsboro; one brother, Layton Bass of San Antonio, Texas; and eight grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
