HACKLEBURG -- Funeral for James Albert Thomas, 64, of Hackleburg will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Hackleburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Sutton officiating.

Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 15, 1936, in Franklin County to Amos E. Thomas and Mildred Stancil Thomas. He was one of the founders of the 12-Step Fellowship Hall in Trinity and was a retired car salesman.

Survivors include one son, Gary Wright. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Rogers, Darryl Patterson, Bob Cook, Paul Hartley, David Phillips, and Doug Latham.

Evelyn Blanche Brown
79, homemaker

Graveside service for Evelyn Blanche Brown, 79, of Decatur was to be today at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jennie Earwood officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Brown died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born March 18, 1921, in Morgan County to Rual Brothers and Mae Kimbrough Brothers. She was a homemaker, a member of Upton Chapel Methodist Church and the widow of Ellis E. "Buster" Brown of Liberty.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Ellis Brown and Don Michael Brown, both of Danville; one daughter, Judy Fischer of Decatur; one brother, Edward Brothers of Painsville, Ohio; two sisters, Christine Campbell of Painsville and Aulean Dye of Ruskin, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lois Sharlene Eason
79, homemaker

CULLMAN -- Funeral for Lois Sharlene Eason, 79, of Joppa was to be today at 2 p.m. at Mount Herman Baptist Church with the Rev. Morris Nundley officiating.

Burial was to be in the adjoining cemetery with Moss Service Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Eason died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born July 7, 1921, in Cullman County to Sumper Edmondson and Lilla Garmon Edmondson. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, James Eddie Eason; one son, Ken Edwin Eason of Joppa; three daughters, Melda Jo Armstrong of Hartselle and Janice Tucker and Sherry Kilgo, both of Cullman; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were to be Jason Armstrong, Nathan Kilgo, Daniel Kilgo, Patrick Eason, Josh Eason and James Hoyt Tipton.

Ruby Vandiver Kidd
88, homemaker

RUSSELLVILLE -- Funeral for Ruby Vandiver Kidd, 88, of Leighton was to be today at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Church of Christ with Gerald Pennington officiating.

Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home directing. The body was to be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Kidd died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Aug. 30, 1912, in Colbert County. She was a homemaker and the widow of the Elzie Kidd.

Survivors include three brothers, Adrian Vandiver of Tuscumbia, Cecil Vandiver of Sheffield and Edward Vandiver of Russellville; and four sisters, Jean Flakes of Decatur, Doris Coan of Leighton, and Maye Hearn and Edna Robbins, both of Mississippi.

Grace Mikell
96, masonry supervisor

Graveside service for Grace Mikell, 96, of Decatur will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Somerville Cemetery with the Rev. Mack Finney officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Mikell died today, Nov. 29, 2000, at Big Spring Manor Nursing Home. He was born March 25, 1904, in Blount County to John David Mikell and Maude Mitchell Mikell. He was a masonry supervisor and a member of Somerville Masonic Lodge F&AM.

Survivors include one son, Don Mikell of Huntsville; one brother, Oscar Mikell of Warrior; one sister, Audrey Florence of Gardendale; and two grandchildren.

Margaret Ann Pulliam
57, 3M lab technician

Funeral for Margaret Ann Pulliam, 57, of Decatur will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Heneryfield Church in Double Springs with the Rev. Ted Agee officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Pulliam died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at her home. She was born July 31, 1943, in Lawrence County to Johnny England and Jewel Naylor England. She was a laboratory technician at 3M and a member of Victory Worship Center. She was the sister of the late John W. England, Johnny Mack Garrison and Roger Dale England.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Mark Pulliam and Matt Pulliam, both of Moulton; two brothers, Danny England and Eddie "Butch" England, both of Moulton; five sisters, Joyce Warren of Moulton, Wanda Littrell of Gulf Shores, Janet Terry of Decatur, Susie Benson of Double Springs and Kim E. Riddle of Athens; one grandson; and one step-granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Roger Asherbranner, Larry Asherbranner, Johnny Warren, Bracy Cummings, Billy Pitts, Jerry Jacobs, Mike Freeman and Tim Harris.

Monteze Ward Pylant
78, homemaker

HUNTSVILLE -- Graveside service for Monteze Ward Pylant, 78, of Huntsville was Friday at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Zeke Haselden officiating and Laughlin Service Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Pylant died Nov. 21, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born March 4, 1922, in Holly Pond to J. Homer Dodson and Lola Bell Stisher Dodson. She was a homemaker and a member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church, where she was in the Fellowship Sunday school class. She was past president of the Women's Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Police. She was the widow of Grover A. Pylant, former Huntsville chief of police.

Survivors include one son, Bruce W. Pylant of Decatur; one daughter, Margie P. Burks of Huntsville; one brother, John W. Dodson of Vinemont; three sisters, Audrey Harris of Cullman, Jo McCown of Trussville and Maggie Smith of Cullman; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Holmes Street United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.

Luther L. 'Luke' Sellers
85, Wolverine retiree

Funeral for Luther L. "Luke" Sellers, 85, of Decatur will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Mark Tolbert and the Rev. David Mc-Kelvey officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Sellers died today, Nov. 29, 2000, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 12, 1915, in Lawrence County to John Milton Sellers and Margaret Meady Sellers. He was a World War II veteran and a 28-year Wolverine Tube employee. He was an active member and deacon emeritus of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Elese Sellers; three daughters, Janice Cathey of Birmingham, Karen Beans of Las Vegas and Wanda Hendrix of Decatur; four brothers, Jemes Sellers of Knoxville, and Leonard Sellers, G.W. Sellers and Robert Sellers, all of Decatur; three sisters, Hazel McDowra and Kansady Copus, both of Decatur, and Lorrine Sharp of Dothan; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will be pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the elevator fund at Central Baptist Church.

David Wayne Vickery
69, millwright supervisor

Memorial service for David Wayne Vickery, 69, of Hillsboro will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Hoover officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Vickery died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2,000, at his home. He was born June 16, 1931, in Lawrence County to William Vickery and Ertha Scoggins Vickery. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired millwright supervisor for Fluor Daniel Construction Co.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hames Vickery; one daughter, Kelley Reeves of Decatur; four brothers, Quinton Vickery of Somerville, Pat Vickery of Atlanta, Mack Vickery of Nashville and Brice Vickery of Decatur; one sister, Willena Clark of Nashville; and one grandson.

Joe J. Sandlin
78, business owner

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Joe J. Sandlin, 78, of Hartselle will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Wright and the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Sandlin died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born May 18, 1922, in Morgan County to Louis Sandlin and Lillian Roberts Sandlin. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He worked at Goodyear Rubber for four years, was an electrical lineman with the city of Hartselle and was manager of the power board until 1966 when he founded S&S Electric Supply Company. He was father of the late Rhonda Leigh Sandlin.

Survivors included his wife, Amanda Sharrott Sandlin; three sons, Jeffrey L. Sandlin, Michael J. Sandlin and Christopher D. Sandlin, all of Hartselle; two daughters, Linda Sandlin Wright and Barbara Sandlin Mabrey, both of Hartselle; one brother, Eugene Sandlin of Rogersville; two sisters, Lois Sandlin Wallace of Hartselle and Ruth Sandlin Taylor of Baton Rouge, La.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John David Sandlin, Raymond Sandlin, Michael Sandlin II, Kenny Sharrott, Larry Vest and Bryan Wright.

Kenneth Lee Weatherford
86, retired farmer

ATHENS -- Funeral for Kenneth Lee Weatherford, 86, of Elkmont, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Byron Davis officiating.

Burial will be in Legg Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Weatherford died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at his home. He was born April 24, 1914, in Limestone County. He was a retired farmer and a member of Leggtown Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Weatherford; one son, Michael Weatherford of Athens; one sister, Mable Phillips of Pulaski, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Weatherford, David Weatherford, Greg Wood, Johnny Abernathy, Jeff Phillips and Richard Phillips.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.

Ruby Mae Bagwell
94, retired salesperson
HAZEL GREEN -- Graveside service for Ruby Mae Bagwell, 94, of Athens will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery in Hartselle with Gallant Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Bagwell died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born Nov. 10, 1906, in Wetumpka to William Prater and Vealera Cynthia Prater. She was a Baptist and retired as a photo salesperson for Family Record. She was the widow of Oscar Lee Bagwell.

Survivors include one son, Donald Bagwell of Culmington, Fla.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Ruth Helen Barnes
48, homemaker

MADISON -- Funeral for Ruth Helen Barnes, 48, of Lester was to be today at 1 p.m. at Restoration Church with Bob Guay and Huey Hudson officiating.

Burial was to be in New Salem Cemetery with McConnell Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Barnes died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at her home. She was born Aug. 21, 1952, in Limestone County to Edward Christopher and Annie Frances Christopher. She was a homemaker and a member of Restoration Church in Madison.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Barnes; one son, Brian Barnes of Lester; her mother of Athens; two brothers, Phillip Christopher and George Christopher, both of Lester; and one sister, Dixie Pritchett of Morgan City.

Members of Restoration Church were to be pallbearers.
