Miss Howard died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 9, 1900, in Alabama. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three nephews and three nieces.
Great-nephews will be pallbearers.

MOULTON -- Memorial services for Alexander Morese Jr., 56, of Moulton will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Moulton Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Lawrimore officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Morese died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at his home. He was born July 25, 1944, in New York, to Alexander Morese and the late Annionette Alvessi Morese. He was retired as a firefighter with the City of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was a lieutenant, a paramedic and past secretary of Professional Firefighters Local 1545. He was named "Firefighter of the Year" in Fort Lauderdale.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Jackson Morese; one son, Alexander Morese of Moulton; one daughter, Michelle Serda of Fort Lauderdale; his father, of Fort Lauderdale; one brother, Lenord Morese of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; one sister, Phyllis Morese of Deerfield; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be honor guards from the Fort Lauderdale Fire Department Local 1545.
Fred Murray Murdock
70, former Decatur resident
Graveside service for Fred Murray Murdock, 70, of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Decatur, was to be today at 11 a.m. at Old Crab Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg, Tenn., with Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Murdock died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in Tuscaloosa. He was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Decatur to Clifford Murray Murdock and Frances Cook Murdock.
Survivors include one brother, J. Clifford Murdock of Decatur.
Lacey Eugene Terry

Funeral for Lacey Eugene Terry, 85, of Decatur will be be Friday at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Robbie Stofel officiating.

Mr. Terry died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 5, 1915, in Morgan County to Eugene Terry and Ida Terry. He was a retired painter and was the father of the late Larry Eugene Terry and Thomas Randy Terry.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Terry; three daughters, Karla Terry Hamilton, Nancy Terry Milette and Melba Terry Robinson, all of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Nephews will be pallbearers.

Mrs. Armstrong died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at Anniston Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 23, 1906, in Chattanooga County, Ga., and had been a resident of Calhoun County for 14 years. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Thomas of Anniston and Coretha Powers of Decatur; four sons, Bobby Clark and Winford Clark, both of Decatur, Wilburn Clark of Hartselle, and Dewey Clark of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Flora Mae Bagwell of Rome, Ga.; 25 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.

BIRMINGHAM -- Funeral for Jimmer Beene Spillers, 72, of Pinson was Nov. 28 in Birmingham.
Burial was in Mountain Springs Cemetery in Moulton.
Mrs. Spillers died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at her home. She was born in Lawrence County to George Washington Beene and Mattie Mae Norwood Beene. She was a graduate of Lawrence County High School and attended Athens State University and the University of North Alabama. She was a member of Pinson Presbyterian Church. She was retired from the state Department of Youth Services.
Survivors include her husband, General Neal Spillers of Pinson; two daughters, Brenda Cherry of Remlap and Lisa Bradley of Canberra, Australia; one brother, William Dow Beene of Moulton; one sister, Connie Mills of Moulton; and three grandchildren.
Raymond A. Sundback
79, retired chemical engineer
Funeral for Raymond A. Sundback, 79, of Decatur will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Brad Walker officiating.

Mr. Sundback died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Edinboro, Pa., to Robert L. Sundback and Hattie Billings Sundback. He retired as a chemical engineer from 3M, where he worked for 47 years. He was a deacon and elder of First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Men's Sunday School Class. He served as the moderator of the North Alabama Presbytery twice. He was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. He was chairman of the Wheeler Basin Public Library Board and a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
Survivors include: his wife, Doris Sundback; one son, John Robert Sundback of Jersey City, N.J.; two daughters, Karen Sundback of Bloomfield, Conn., and Ellen Marks of Huntsville; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Ed Cornell, Jim Lewis, Ron Reinhart, Phil Raths, A.J. Coleman and Ray Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Men's Sunday School Class at First Presbyterian Church.

She was born Oct. 23, 2000, in Nashville to Phillip Carr and Erika Carr. She died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

Mr. Grantland died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at DCH Northport Hospital. He was born March 6, 1916, in Morgan County to James Edgar Grantland and Eunie Grantland. He was a farmer. He was father of the late Sue McCutcheon.
Survivors include one son, Harold Keith Grantland of LaGrange, Ill.; two daughters, Jean Jackson of Hartselle and Betty Zane Pannell of Decatur; three sisters, Pauline Sims and Marie Hitt, both of Decatur, and Marcile Crane of Cullman; and 11 grandchildren.

She was a retired area manager for World Book Encyclopedia and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
She was wife of the late Louie C. Weed, mother of the late Morgan W. Weed and sister of the late Edward Searcy.
Survivors include four sons, Louie G. Weed of Fayetteville, Tenn., Warren E. Weed of Birmingham, Dan S. Weed of Americus, Ga., Robert P. Weed of Abbeville; one sister, Ruth Search Shell of Abbeville; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
