ATHENS -- Funeral for Henry Franklin Smith, 73, of Anderson was to be today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Anderson with the Rev. Tom How officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.
Burial was to be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at his home. He was born March 19, 1927, in Lauderdale County to Walter Smith and Reba Smith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 820 in Anderson and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella Smith; two sons, Mike Smith and Scotty Smith, both of Anderson; two daughters, Donna Bullard of Anderson and Tammy Dewberry of Hartselle; a brother, Harold Smith of Huntsville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Smith, Tyler Smith, Matt Dewberry, Cory Belvin, Lynn Burgess, Lance Webster and Ricky Phillips.
Memorials may be made to Anderson First Baptist Church.

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for the Rev. R.E. "Bob" Williams, 63, of Hartselle will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Williams died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at his home.

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Floyd Jackson Winters, 81, of Hartselle will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Burns officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Winters died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born June 22, 1919, in Virginia to George W. Winters and Bessie Connell Winters. He retired as a machine operator from Sexton Can Company. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the widower of Velma Winters.
Survivors include three sons, Hubert Winters of Kokomo, Ind., Gary Winters of Evansville, Ind. and Archie Winters of Hartselle; two daughters, Margaret Tatum of Hartselle and Gloria Singleton of Falkville; one brother, Holly Winters of Hickory, N.C.; two sisters, Zell Swindle of Jasper and Ollie Lynn of Cordova; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Woodall died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1921, in Morgan County. She was a homemaker and member of Hartselle Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Carl W. Woodall of Hartselle; two daughters, Dorothy Jean Woodall of Fyffe and Mary Kirby Chappell of Hartselle; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Clem died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at her home. She was born June 23, 1937, in Limestone County to Ed and Mary Ethel Durham. She was a retired lunchroom manager for the Limestone County Board of Education and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Athens. She was the sister of the late Bill Durham.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Wayne Clem; two daughters Melissa Randolph of Allen, Texas, and Melanie Maples of Elkmont; five sisters, Ruby Pruitt of Springville, N.Y., Dimple Posey of Elkmont, Dorothy Klenczar of Decatur, Opal Ayers of Athens and Edna Haney of Ardmore; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. McKinney died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Birmingham. He was born March 31, 1942, in Limestone County to Freddie and Pearlie Mc-Kinney. He was a carpenter and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the brother of the late James Donald McKinney.
Survivors include three sons, Patrick McKinney, Jamie McKinney and Billy McKinney, all of Valley Head; three daughters, Sabrina Ramon of Texas, Kimberly McKinney and Tessa McKinney, both of Valley Head; one sister, Kathy Zavodny of Cleveland, Ohio; and one grandson.

Mr. Patterson died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born April 24, 1918, in Lauderdale County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Anderson, a lifetime member of the Auburn Alumni Association, an Army veteran of World War II and a retired Auburn Extension Service county agent. He was the father of the late Paul Camp Patterson.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Camp Patterson; one son, Patrick Allen Patterson of Opelika; one brother, William Franklin Patterson of Anderson; four sisters, Vona Cates, Lena Belue and Mildred Corum, all of Rogersville, and Lethel Griffin of Anderson; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Rouse died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at her home. She was born Dec. 23, 1909, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and a member of Shanghai Baptist Church.
Survivors include six sons, Lawrence Rouse of Elkmont, Leroy Rouse of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Alfred Rouse, James Rouse, Billy Rouse and Wayne Rouse, all of Athens; three daughters, Katherine Craig of Lester, and Neda Wallace and Ollie Mae Wallace, both of Athens; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and nine great- great-grandchildren.

Anna Ruth Myers Sanders

DECHERD, Tenn. -- Memorial service for Anna Ruth Myers Sanders, 72, of Decherd was to be today at 10:30 a.m. at Decherd United Methodist Church with Moore-Cortner Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Sanders died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, in Decherd. She was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Sewanee, Tenn. She attended Birmingham-Southern College and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in speech and English. She earned a master's degree from Scarritt College in Nashville.
She had a career in Christian education, serving as Christian education program director at United Methodist churches in Fountain City, Tenn., Murfreesboro, Tenn., Lynchburg, Va., and Woodbridge, Va. She was a Christian education program director for Central United Methodist Church in Decatur. She was a volunteer coordinator for the Crisis Center Hotline in Austin, Texas, and Buddies in Nashville. She was a master storyteller and was well known throughout area churches, public groups and at the Scarritt-Bennett Center in Nashville. She was a member of Decherd United Methodist Church, Zeta Tau Alpha, the Friendship Force and the Multi-County Cancer Support Network.
Survivors include one son, Alan Myers Sanders of Decherd; one daughter, Anna Karen Sanders of Los Angeles; and one sister, Mae Hutson of Chattanooga.
Memorials may be made to the Multi-County Cancer Network of Tullahoma, Tenn.
The Rev. R.E. 'Bob' Williams

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for the Rev. R.E. "Bob" Williams, 63, of Hartselle will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the new fellowship hall of New Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Barna, the Rev. Charles Shipman and the Rev. Mike Williams officiating.
Burial will be in New Center Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church two hours before the service.
Mr. Williams died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at his home. He was born April 29, 1937, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Jimmy Clifton Williams and Flora Margaret Scott Williams. He graduated from Lewisville High School in Texas in 1955 and attended classes for one year at North Texas State University. He entered the ministry in 1964 and served four Baptist churches in Texas: Peniel and Dixon in Greenville, Calvary in Talco and Belmont in Sherman. He moved to Alabama in 1984 and served as pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Hartselle until 1987, after which he served at New Center Baptist Church until he retired in March 2000. He was a member of the Morgan County Baptist Association, on which he was a member of the pastor's conference and program coordinator. He helped build a new fellowship building at New Center Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mozelle Williams; three sons, Mike Williams of Mason, Tenn., David Williams of Huntsville and Steve Williams of Moulton; one daughter, Andra Barna of Town Creek; one sister, Marlene Sturdevant of Cumby, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Beal, Robert Dunaway, Jerry Ferrell, Pat Halbrooks, Bobby Loveday, Jeff McMinemon, Jim Roberts and Randy Whitten.
Ina Dewey Brewer

Mrs. Brewer died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2001, at National Health Care Center in Moulton. She was born March 25, 1898, in Lawrence County, to Henry Montgomery and Eva Heflin Montgomery. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two nephews, Curtis Montgomery of Anniston and Gale Montgomery of Decatur; and one niece, Sarah Standridge of Trinity.
Nieces and great nieces will be pallbearers.
Wilmer L. Farmer

Mr. Farmer died Monday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Oct. 27, 1926, in Etowah County. He retired from Fluor Daniels Construction Co., after working 33 years as a pipefitter doing contract work for Monsanto. He was a military veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Gloriana Farmer; one son, Michael Farmer of Priceville; one stepson, Gene Killingsworth of Priceville; two daughters, Donna Lynn Farmer and Tanya Lee Farmer, both of Priceville; three brothers, Richard Farmer and Sammy Farmer, both of Altoona, and Morris Farmer of Rainbow City; four sisters, Magadele Blakely of Blountsville, Imogene Richey of Gadsden, Billie Mooney of Brevard, N.C., and Ruby Buchanan of Stanley, N.C.; and one grandchild.
