SUMITON -- Funeral for Lemma Ramsden Baird, 75, of Dora will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Baird died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center Princeton in Birmingham. She was born March 30, 1925, in Sumiton to Harold S. "Pete" Ramsden and Nettie Ramsden. She was a lifelong resident of the Dora and Sumiton areas and a graduate of Dora High School and Birmingham-Southern College. She taught at Sumiton Elementary School for 42 years. She was active in educational and community organizations and was a member of Sumiton United Methodist Church. She was the widow of James R. Baird.
Survivors include one son, Ed Baird of Colorado; one daughter, Martha Ellis of Birmingham; and six grandchildren, as well as relatives in the Decatur area.
Memorials may be made to Sumiton United Methodist Church or the Central Alabama Alzheimer's Foundation in Birmingham.

Mrs. Brown died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation. She was born April 24, 1912, in Alabama to John Cornelious and Maude McGregory Cornelious. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Cornelious of Decatur; and one grandchild.

Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clem died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born Nov. 2, 1906, in Limestone County. She was a retired schoolteacher and a member of Corinth Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Milton Clem and David Clem, both of Athens; one brother, Macon Gilbert of Decatur; and four grandchildren.
Mary Pauline Kraus Costain

Mrs. Costain died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Athens Convalescent Center. She was born Oct. 20, 1908, in Limestone County to Louis P. Kraus and Hattie Mayo Kraus. She was a member of Ephesus Church of Christ.
Survivors include one nephew, Philip Kraus of Athens; and two nieces, Lucile Wright of Nashville and Lila Chambers of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Kraus, Greg Chambers, Bill Chambers, Lynn McAllister, Grady Congo and Roy Patton.
James E. 'Jimmy' Ivy

TUSCUMBIA -- Funeral for James E. "Jimmy" Ivy, 57, of Sheffield was to be today at 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, with Terry Cole officiating.
Burial was to be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ivy died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Helen Keller Hospital. He was born June 19, 1943, in Florence, to Leo Ivy and Pearl Myrick. He was a barber and a member of the Church of Christ. He was the father of Terry Ivy and the brother of Juanita Riddle and Carolyn Ivy.
Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Holdbrooks of Tuscumbia and Susan Whitfield of Florence; his mother, Pearl Baskins, of Florence; eight brothers, Grady Myrick and Cleveland Ivy, both of Florence, Brady Myrick and V.L. Ivy, both of Nashville, Linsford Myrick and Kenneth Ivy, both of Decatur, Taylor "Duck" Ivy of Chattanooga and Steve Baskins of Sheffield; four sisters, Gloria Wilson of Florence, Margaret Knight, Brenda Pugh and Linda Ivy, all of Decatur; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Hillside Hospital. She was born July 1, 1918, in Lexington to Jesse Thomas Howard and Mamie Phillips Howard. She retired from Maremont Gabriel Corp. She was the widow of Walter Johnson.
Survivors include one son, Thomas David Johnson of Somerville; one daughter, Barbara Hendrick of Gardendale; one sister, Gaynelle Richardson of Lexington; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. LouAllen died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at National Health Care in Moulton. He was born April 13, 1912, in Lawrence County, to Jim LouAllen and Carrie LouAllen. He was a minister with the Holy Church of Christ for 41 years.
Survivors include his wife, Estelle Cagle LouAllen; three daughters, Vernell Wilson and Vernalue Montgomery, both of Courtland and Vernice Parker of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grand- children.

Rev. Dr. Ray Garland McCulloch

Rev. McCulloch died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at his home. He was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Decatur to George E. McCulloch and Evelyn Safley McCulloch. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur and received his doctor of divinity degree from Kent State University in Ohio. He was a minister for 30 years and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He was chaplain of the Alabama state troopers.
Survivors include his wife, Freda McCulloch; one son, Ray Edd McCulloch of Waco, Texas; one daughter, Phyllis Spidel of Athens; one brother, Kenneth McCulloch of Decatur; two sisters, Annelle Smith of Decatur and Ruth Isbell of Birmingham; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marty Ray Adams, Kenny McCulloch, Barry McCulloch, Daryl McCulloch, Greg Creighton and Johnny Denson.

Mr. Netherton died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1923, in Cullman to Gilbert Netherton and Mary Robinson Netherton. He retired as an electrician from Hayes (Pemco) International.

Mr. Williams died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Lincoln County Hospital in Tennessee. He was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Athens to Ollie Williams and Murphy Yarbrough Williams. He was a member of David Temple Primitive Baptist Church. He was a retired saw operator.
Survivors include seven sons, Ollie Williams, Joseph Williams, James Williams, Robert Williams, and Printess Williams, all of Decatur, Exon Williams Jr. of Hillsboro and Virl Williams; one daughter, Rose Fletcher of Decatur; one stepson, Kenneth Shackleford of Decatur; one stepdaughter, Hattie Bush of Decatur; his stepmother, Francis Williams of Louisville, Ky.; 26 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Burial was to be in Miller Cemetery in Rogersville.
Mr. Yeager died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2001, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born July 10, 1929, in Lawrence County, Tenn. He was a retired NASA employee and a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens.
Survivors include his wife, Cherry Ward Yeager; two sons, Phillip Yeager of Senoia, Ga., and Charles Howard Yeager of Birmingham; two daughters, Connie Bates of Athens and Donna Jean Yeager of Florence; one brother, Seth Yeager of Leoma, Tenn.; two sisters, Evelyn Sides of Metamora, Ill., and Mary Stricklin of Savannah, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
Nephews and grandsons will be pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be NASA and Microcraft co-workers.
Memorials may be made to the building or playground funds of First Baptist Church in Athens.
