Irene Tribble Cole
ATHENS -- Funeral for Irene Tribble Cole, 88, of Athens will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Taylor and the Rev. Noel Hayes officiating.
Burial will be in Madison City Cemetery with McConnell Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Mrs. Cole died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1913, in Madison County to Hopkins Thomas Tribble and Bertha Irene Morris Tribble. Mrs. Cole was a member of Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church for 74 years. She was a member of the Joy Club of Athens, the AARP and the Athens Home Demonstration Club. She was the widow of Claude Cole and the sister of the late Dean Tribble, Alonzo Tribble and Billy Tribble.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Cole of Athens; one daughter, Bonnie Henderson of Harvest; two sisters, Erlene Hayes of Grant and Joyce Abernathy of Vero Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Morris Tribble of Madison, and Ray Tribble of Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Cole, Bruce Cole, Wayne Tribble, Larry Tribble, Jon Tribble, Perry Hayes, Bryon Scott and Jason Edgemon.
Men of Parkers Chapel United Methodist Church will be honorary pallbearers.

Jo Ann Dale
Funeral for Jo Ann Dale, 65, of Decatur will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Mike Nix officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Athens. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dale died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at her home. She was born Oct. 26, 1936, in North Alabama to Paul Clifford Hastings and Georgia Irene Thomas Hastings. She was employed as a laborer at Wayne Farms for 18 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Kemper of Decatur and LaRon Kemper of Florence; two daughters, Marla Scarbrough of Priceville and Tonja Steele of Decatur; one sister, Nadine Callaway of Hartselle; and four grandchildren.
Millard N. Hall
HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Millard N. Hall, 77, of Hartselle will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. T. Reynolds Hall, the Rev. Ron Wilson and the Rev. Ron Bishop officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Mr. Hall died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born July 20, 1924, in Lawrence County to William Jesse Hall and Minnie Sue Hood Hall. He retired from United Stage Equipment Company where he worked as an installer for 32 years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a past trustee and chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee. He was a member of the Morgan County Sheriff's Mounted Posse where he served as past president and secretary treasurer. He was brother of the late William Robert "Bob" Hall, Thomas Glen Hall and Carl Denison Hall.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lucille Leeth Hall; three daughters, Ann Hall Kirby and Pam Hall Sibley, both of Hartselle, and Deborah J. Hall of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Billy Ray Hall of Ardmore; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Kirby, Scott Kirby, T.J. Sibley, Tyler Sibley, Bub Lucas, Howard Chunn and Michael Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Morgan County Sheriff's Mounted Posse.

William Milton Hemrick
Funeral for William Milton Hemrick, 63, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mount Oak Cemetery in Arab. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hemrick died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born April 10, 1938, in Marshall County to Harvey Hemrick and Myrtle PesnellHemrick. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Teamsters Union for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Jo Hemrick; two sons, Milton Lynn Hemrick and Alan Landon Hemrick, both of Decatur; and one daughter, Casey Denise Bailey of Decatur.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be coworkers at Yellow Freight Systems.
James Ewell Johnson Jr.
Graveside service for James Ewell Johnson Jr., 78, of Decatur will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Bullard officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 5 to 7 at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Mr. Johnson died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born April 21, 1923, in York to James E. Johnson Sr. and Ruby Walker Johnson. He was owner of J.E. Johnson General Construction Co. and was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a former member of the Decatur Lions club, and current member of the Decatur Country Club where was he an avid golfer. He was father of the late J.E. Johnson III.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Evelyn Johnson of Decatur, Ga., and Jane Annette Johnson of Decatur; three brothers, Rex Johnson of Lampasas, Texas, Ronald Johnson of Montevallo and Donald Johnson of Fairhope; one sister, Evelyn Loyd of Decatur; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
William 'Bill' Knight
HALEYVILLE -- Funeral for William "Bill" Knight, 74, of Arley will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Meek Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Partridge officiating.

Ronnie Junior Kyle
HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Ronnie Junior Kyle, 50, of Hartselle was to be today at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Homer Jones and the Rev. Melvin Mears officiating.
Burial was to be in Center Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Kyle died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Dec. 21, 1951, in Franklin County to Howard Lee Kyle and Virginia Ann Kyle Carnell. He was of the Holiness faith and brother of the late Barbara Mears.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Gail Kyle; one son, Alex Lee Kyle of Hartselle; two step-sons, Jeff Evans of Iron City, Tenn., and Cecil Evans of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Gerstman of Hartselle and Fran Steele of Loretto, Tenn.; his mother of Decatur; four brothers, Ricky Kyle of Athens, Michael Kyle of Hartselle and Randy Kyle and William Kyle, both of Decatur; two sisters, Josephine DeFoe of Tennessee and Debra Mears of Athens; and three step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Kyle, Randy Kyle, Steve Suggs, Matt Kyle, Joseph Mears and Jeff Champion.
Grady Noah Lott

Mr. Lott died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at his home. He was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Morgan County to Castor Noah Lott and Jewel Cooper Lott. He was a member of Austinville United Methodist Church and was owner of Lott Motor Co. for 32 years. The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of the Valley.
Survivors include his wife, Rilla Speegle Lott; two sons, Ricky Van Lott and Randy Alan Lott, both of Decatur; one sister, Betty Peebles of Decatur; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Daryl Lynn McVay
MOULTON -- Funeral for Daryl Lynn McVay, 41, of Moulton will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Pin Hook Holy Church of Christ with Mike Jackson officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing.

Mr. McVay died at his home Friday, Feb. 15, 2002. He was born July 14, 1960, in Lawrence County and was a truck driver.
Survivors include his mother, Audrey Sue McVay of Moulton; and one sister, Debria Peters of Moulton.
Pallbearers will be Roy McVay, Dwight Tyler, Rickey Dunn, Sandy Carl Gillespie, Dale McVay and Stacy Jetton.
Jackson William Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Veterans Hospital in Birmingham. He was born Oct. 10, 1945, in Cullman County to William Frank Sullivan and Octavia Oliver Sullivan. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and an auto body repairman. He was the brother of the late James Sullivan, the late Dwight Sullivan and the late Billy Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Sharron Shikle Sullivan; one son, Tony Darin Sullivan of Cullman; two daughters, Gayla Burgess of Hartselle and Joell Johns of Cullman; two brothers, Jude Sullivan of Hulaco and Robert Sullivan of Decatur; four sisters, Gwen Waldrop and Margaret Coker, both of Baileyton, and Peggy Nappier and Juanita Solley, both of Decatur; and three grandchildren.
Arthur Lee Whitener
ATHENS -- Funeral for Arthur Lee Whitener, 92, of Athens will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Roger Jackson and Bud White officiating.
Burial will be in O'Neal Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mr. Whitener died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Feb. 7, 1910, in Arkansas to Roland Whitener and Violet Whitener. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Whitener was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and a member of the American Legion and Northside Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Tennie Horton Whitener; one son, Thomas Whitener of Athens; one daughter, Linda Whitener Coiner of Stewarts Draft, Va.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
James Rydell Anderson
TANNER -- Funeral for James Rydell Anderson, 38, of Madison will be Thursday at noon at Peoples Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Baker officiating.
Burial will be in Ragland Cemetery at Green brier.
Mr. Anderson died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002, at West Side Health Care in Huntsville. He was born Jan. 7, 1964, in Limestone County to Saul Anderson and Lizzie Mae Baker Anderson. He was a construction worker.
Survivors include two sons, Lequan Bailey of Huntsville and Anthony Gilbert of Athens; three daughters, Porshe Jordan, Lacreasia Jordan and Katrina Jordan, all of Huntsville; his father of Athens; one brother, Michael Cline of Athens; and two sisters, Casandra Redus of Madison and Christie Horton of Athens.
Dale Fountain Gibson

Mr. Gibson died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born May 1, 1937, in Limestone County to William Marion Gibson and Beulah Wade White Gibson. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and worked at Murphy's Gin.
Survivors include two daughters, Samantha Gibson of Athens and Sandra Gibson Powers of Ardmore; five brothers, Richard Gibson and Tony Gibson, both of Tanner, Grady Gibson of Clewiston, Fla., William Ollie Gibson of Labelle, Fla., and Travis Gibson of Athens; one sister, Linda Harrison of Missouri; and five grandchildren.
