Graveside service for Sarah Elizabeth Weaver, 85, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Blooming Youth Cemetery in Winston County with the Rev. Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Weaver died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at her home. She was born June 17, 1916, in Jackson County. She was the widow of Fred W. Weaver and sister of the late Ida Mae Riggs and James L. Riggs. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hartselle, and she was retired from Southland Hospital Lab in Birmingham.
Survivors include one sister, Ida Belle Riggs of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be James R. Riggs, Nick Riggs, Charles Riggs, Greg Riggs, Richard Riggs and Mike Glenn.
Evelyn Harrison
SHEPERDSVILLE, Ky. -- Funeral for Evelyn Harrison, 81, of Louisville, Ky., and formerly of Shepherdsville, Ky., will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home in Shepherdsville with Andy Alexander officiating.
Burial will be in Brookland Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 3 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Harrison died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at her daughter's home. She was born Feb. 25, 1921, to Edward White and Belle White in Minor Hill, Tenn. She was a former employee of the old Okolona Water Co., and Standard Oil Co., and was a member of Hebron Lane Church of Christ. She was the widow of David M. Harrison and the sister of the late Ashford White and Oda Lee Tucker.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Willis of Louisville; two brothers, James Otis White of Elkmont and Allen White of Minor Hill; one sister, Nadine Robinson of Minor Hill; and two step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
Florence Abner Nelson
HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Florence Abner Nelson, 64, of Moulton will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Pace and the Rev. Stanley Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in New Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nelson died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1937, in Morgan County to George Abner and Katie McManaway Abner. She was a member of Lebanon Church of God in Speake and a laborer at the Prestolite Division in Decatur.
Survivors include one sister, Marie Stone of Moulton.
Pallbearers will be Timmy Cockrell, Keith Cockrell, Stanley Johnson, Joey Lee Terry, Derrick Stray and Jeff Dingler.
Era Mae Lee O'Bar
HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Era Mae Lee O'Bar, 83, of Hartselle will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Rice officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. O'Bar died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, in Lake City, Fla. She was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Morgan County to John Lee and Della Pearl Maner. She was a homemaker and the widow of Millard H. O'Bar. She was a member of First Christian Church in Hartselle.
Survivors include two nephews and five nieces.
Glenn Marion Pace
MOULTON -- Funeral for Glenn Marion Pace, 72, of Town Creek, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Cave Springs Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Edgil, the Rev William Briley and the Rev. Greg Rucker officiating.
Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be in the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Pace died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals. He was born March 5, 1929, in Lawrence County to Joe Pace and Dessie Fleming Pace. He was a Baptist and a farmer and owned and operated Pace Wrecker Service for 36 years. He was a former Lawrence Count sheriff's deputy and a former member of the Joe Wheeler Electric Membership Corp. board.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Pace; one son, Larry Glenn Pace of Town Creek; one daughter, Sandra Pace Collins of Town Creek; two brothers, Willard Pace of Phil Campbell and Joe W. Pace of Russellville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Harold Radford, L.V. Fleming, Tony Scott, Danny Pace and Stanley Coan.
Members of the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, the Alabama State Troopers and City of Moulton employees will be honorary pallbearers.
Cloye Mildred Cole Patterson
COLUMBIANA -- Funeral for Cloye Mildred Cole Patterson, 80, of Wilsonville was to be today at 2 p.m. at Bolton Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Brasher officiating.

Mrs. Patterson died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at her home. She was born April 11, 1921, in Etowah County. She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church. She was the mother of the late Helen Margaret Patterson.
Survivors include five sons, William Patterson of Montgomery, Jesse Patterson of Decatur, and Michael Patterson, Troy Patterson and Roy Patterson, all of Wilsonville; four daughters, Sue White of Shelby, Betty Denty of Harpersville and Barbara Blackmon and Gladys Jones, both of Wilsonville; two sisters, Lucille Kent of Gadsden and Amardean Henderson of Boaz; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Clara Smith
HARTSELLE -- Graveside service for Clara Smith, 89, of Decatur was to be today at 11 a.m. at Moss Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Edwin Hodges officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Smith died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation of Decatur. She was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Morgan County to George Berry Roberts and Nettie Mae Wallace Roberts. She was the widow of William Roy Smith was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. She was a saleswoman for Belk Hudson and Parisian.
Survivors include one son, Clyde George of Decatur; one brother, Luther B. Roberts of Danville; three sisters, Mable Sparkman of Priceville, Earline Marshall of Foley and Vera Mae Roberts of Hueytown; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Grandchildren will be pallbearers.
John Walter Brown Sr.
HARTSELLE -- Funeral for John Walter Brown Sr., 61, of Hartselle will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Dewitt Crowe officiating.

Mr. Brown died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, in Madison County. He was born Dec. 20, 1940, in Morgan County to Fred Russell Brown and Lillie Mae Gentry Brown. He was a truck driver for AAA Cooper. He was the brother of the late Byron Russell Brown, Rexford Brown and Eloree Mote.
Survivors include his wife, Jenny Mae Dudley Brown; two sons, John Walter Brown Jr. and Jason Paul Brown, both of Hartselle; one daughter, JoAnn Brown Parker of Moulton; two sisters, Zelma Brimner of Hueytown and Deloris Tidwell of Piney Woods; and five grandchildren.

James E. 'Doddie' Drake
HUNTSVILLE -- Funeral for James E. "Doddie" Drake, 85, of Athens will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerome Hilliard officiating.

Mr. Drake died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1916, in Huntsville, and was retired from Chambers Bottling Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and he owned and operated general stores in Limestone and Madison counties for 18 years. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church and was formerly a resident of Huntsville for 38 years. He was the widower of Helen Moore Drake.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Drake of Athens; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Frances Irene Kitchens

Mrs. Kitchens died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Sept. 30, 1918, in Limestone County to Luther Webb and Virgie Webb. She was a member of Oak Park Church of God and retired from Medical Park Convalescence Center.
Survivors include her husband, H.F. Kitchens; two sons, Roy Kitchens and F. Dewayne Kitchens, both of Lawrence County; one daughter, Francis Christa of Marshall County; one brother, John Webb of Decatur; two sisters, Mary Graham of Hartselle and Ruby Ricketts of Decatur; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Marks died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at her home. She was born July 23, 1920, in Morgan County to Walter Peter Evans and Ada Lou Grant Evans. She was a 1941 graduate of Morgan County High School and a graduate of Anderson Business College. She was a payroll clerk at Goodyear Mills during the early 1940s. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Good Fellowship Sunday school class. She was widow of Gilbert Edward Marks, mother of the late Edward Evans Marks and sister of the late Wilma Evans Dobbs, Jack Hyman Evans, Samuel James Evans and Walter Luke Evans.
Survivors include one sister, Emma Jean Evans Aday of Huntsville; three nieces and five nephews.
Pallbearers will be Stan Evans, Wally Evans, Luke Evans, Don Aday, John McCord and Richard Graves.

Leonard Watson

Mr. Watson died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Red Bay Hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Leighton to Jesse L. Watson and Lucinda Borden Watson. He was a farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Laura Francis Calhoun Watson.
Survivors include five sons, Thomas Watson of Hatton, William Watson and Larry Watson, both of Moulton, and Curtis Watson and Ferrol Watson, both of Mount Hope; two daughters, Katherine Calhoun of Mount Hope and Kathleen Copeland of Russellville; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Eva Mae Webster

Mrs. Webster died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born May 16, 1939, in Limestone County to Walter Lee Jackson and Eva Taylor Jackson. She attended the Majestic Chapel Church in Elkmont. She was a former employee of Weather Tamer in Athens, where she worked as a seamstress.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Edward Webster; one daughter, Shirley Wingo of Elkmont; and two sisters, Margaret Thornton of Harvest and Dorothy Goode of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Randy Anderson, Anthony Anderson, Bobby Hodges, Jason McBay, Mike Webster, Josh Webster and Ned Dildine.
