Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Decatur died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at her home. She was born Sept. 9, 1937, in Lawrence County to Jay Conway and Icey Bumgart Conway. She was a nurse's aide and a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Rickey Decatur of Moulton; two brothers, Arley Smith of Trinity and Wiley Smith of Moulton; one sister, Linda Rutherford of Town Creek; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Leldon Lacey, David Lacey, Brady Flanagan, Eric Smith, Jamie Smith and Anthony Shelton.
Bessie Johnson Graves
ATHENS -- Funeral for Bessie Johnson Graves, 82, of Elkmont will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Guy McDaniel, Doug Matlock and Randall Hammock officiating.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Graves died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born May 27, 1919, in Limestone County to Ellis Johnson and Eula Johnson. She was the widow of Lewis Graves and mother of the late Elizabeth Kay Graves and a member of O'Neal Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Doyle Graves and Tommy Graves, both of Athens, and Teddy Graves of Elkmont; 10 daughters, Geraldine Gatlin and Carolyn Miller, both of Elkmont, Louisann Lawrence, Dianne Patterson, Pam Thornton, Dalphney Moss and Kathy Coberly, all of Athens, Judy Lawrence and Patricia Gatlin, both of Tennessee, and Joyce Smith of Lester; one brother, Robert William Johnson of Elkmont; one sister, Essie McNatt of Ohio; 24 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Noel 'Frog' Lovell
ATHENS -- Funeral service for Noel "Frog" Lovell, 85, of Rogersville was to be today at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Daniel Ridinger and Marty L. Thompson officiating.
Burial was to be in Civitan Cemetery in Rogersville.
Mr. Lovell died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at his home. He was born Dec. 22, 1916, in Limestone County to Malcolm and Evie Lovell. He was a member of Oliver Church of Christ. He was a World War II veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 11 in Florence. He was a retired farmer. He was the widower of Mary Reeves Lovell.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Lovell of Elkmont and Larry Lovell of Rogersville; one daughter, Bernice Childers of Rogersville; three brothers, Ralph Lovell of Athens, Vernon Lovell of Rogersville and E.N. Lovell of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Ken Davis, Greg Lovell, Myron Cowan, Larry Yeates, Chris Putman and Chad Putman.
Ruth O'Lene Ferguson Lyle
Ruth O'Lene Ferguson Lyle, 84, of Alpine, Texas, formerly of Decatur, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Alpine. Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
Jennifer C. Miller

Mrs. Miller died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at her home. She was born Sept. 4, 1971, in California. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Timothy Wayne Morris

Mr. Morris died Friday, March 15, 2002, at Jackson County Hospital in Cypress, Fla. He was born Nov. 5, 1951, in Morgan County to Elbert Morris and Victoria Eloise Mercer Morris. He was a member of Hartselle Church of God and a truck driver for Mayfield Trucking for 28 years. He was brother of the late Dean Morris. He attended Morgan County High School.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Chappell Morris; one son, John Wayne Morris of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla,; two stepsons, Shannon Kirby of Jackson, Miss. and Bryan Kirby of Bessemer; three step-daughters, Michelle Kirby Morgan and Whitney Chappell, both of Hartselle, and Amy Kirby Wooten of Madison; his parents of Hartselle; three brothers, Terry Morris of Burnsville, Minn., and Dale Morris and Phillip Morris, both of Hartselle; and one sister, Ella Morris Kirby of Hartselle.

Mrs. Oakes died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born May 27, 1927, in Morgan County to Robert Wesley Morrow and Minnie Mae Franklin Morrow.
Survivors include two sons, Walter T. Oakes and Paul F. Oakes Jr., both of Lacey's Spring; one daughter, Deborah Oakes of Valhermoso Springs; one brother, James H. Morrow of Somerville; three sisters, Estelle Bentz of Sylacauga, Novell Collier of Bessemer and Norma Cook of Huntsville; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Kaethe I. Pitt

Mrs. Pitt died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Feb. 13, 1925, in Hamburg, Germany, to Otto Kropp and Amanda Poppe Kropp. She retired as co-owner of Pitt's Vacuum Cleaners after 30 years. She was a member of Saint Ann Catholic Church. She was the mother of the late Susan Henson.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Pitt; two sons, Mark C. Pitt and Michael C. Pitt, both of Decatur; two daughters, Anita Tucker of Decatur and Patricia Hollis of Moulton; one brother, Hans Gunter Kropp of Hamburg, Germany; and seven grandchildren.

Herbert A. Powell
HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Herbert A. Powell, 72, of Falkville was to be today at 2 p.m. at Powell's Chapel Church with the Rev. Tony Johnson officiating.
Burial was to be in Powell's Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The body was to be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Mr. Powell died Friday, March 15, 2002, at his home. He was born March 1, 1930, to Ben Powell and Nettie Powell. The retired steel worker and evangelist was the widower of Evelyn Skinner Powell.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Johnson and Connie Smithson, both of Falkville, and Angie Bishop of Cullman; one sister, Cornes Miller of San Jose, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Carl Ramey, Howard Turney, Richard Cline and Jeremy Hardin.
Bernice Dobbs Terry

Mrs. Terry died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born Dec. 13, 1922, in Morgan County to John Calvin Dobbs and Ona Elizabeth Roan Dobbs. She was the retired owner of Flint City Florist. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 55 years and sang in the choir.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold Terry; one daughter, Brenda Williams of Decatur; two brothers, John Dobbs of Louisville, Ky., and Glenn Dobbs of Hartselle; two sisters, Jean Williams of Hartselle and Betty Rogers of Holly Pond; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Dobbs, Dan Webster, Myron Chenault, William Chenault, Steven Rogers and the Rev. Joe Williams.
Lily Louise McDonald Ancell

Mrs. Ancell died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Sept. 17, 1918, in Limestone County. She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church in Rogersville.
Survivors include her husband, Claude Ancell of Rogers- ville; one daughter, Ley Ellen Black of Rogersville; one sister, Connie M. Lane of Kerrville, Texas; and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Copeland died Monday, March 18, 2002, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born April 29, 1915, in Morgan County to Henry Hoyle Pittman and Laura Lovancy King Pittman. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, J.T. Copeland Jr. of Hartselle; three daughters, Laura Mason of Decatur, Doris Rising of Buffalo, N.Y., and Gayle Copeland of Huntsville; four sisters, Betty Copeland, Hettie Stewart, Hattie Robbins and Hassie Orr, all of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Lyle died Thursday, March 14, 2002, in Alpine. She was born April 12, 1917, in Morgan County to Andrew Newt Ferguson and Eva Mary Lou Plemons Ferguson. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church for 39 years, and she was the widow of Modie S. Lyle.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirlene Rook of Alpine; two sisters, Birdie Maples of Hartselle and Sylvia Watts of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
