Louis Roy Hendrix
Funeral for Louis Roy Hendrix, 73, of Decatur Wednesday, September 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. C. G. Reding officiating.
Burial was in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mr. Hendrix died Monday, September 6, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and was retired from North Alabama Fabricating as plant superintendent. He is a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Larry Roy Hendrix and Phil Wayne Hendrix, both of Decatur; two sisters, Opal Isley of Powder Springs, Ga., and Lira Isley of Hiram, Ga.; two brothers, Luther Hendrix of Decatur and Bernice C. (Buddy) Hendrix of San Luis Obispo, Cal.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were LaWayne Hendrix, John Allen, Lynn Isley, Wilbur Hopkins, Mike Stewart, Maurice Dutton and Ken Hendrix.
Martin W. Stricklin, Sr.
Funeral for Martin W. Stricklin, Sr., 64, of Moulton was Friday, September 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Williams-McCracken Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Shelton officiating.
Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Stricklin died Wednesday, September 1, 1999, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was a native of Lawrence County and a graduate of Cullman High School. He attended St. Bernard College, where he served as captain of the basketball team.
He is survived by one son, Martin Stricklin, Jr., of Decatur; one daughter, Kim Amos of Moulton; two sisters, Jean Screws of Hartselle and Sue Ward of Cullman; and three grandchildren.
Minnie Lorene Wright
Funeral for Minnie Lorene Wright, 72, of Decatur was Wednesday, September 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with Milton Slate officiating. Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wright died Monday, August 30, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Limestone County and a member of Flint Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Norman Jack Wright, Sr.
She is survived by four sons, Sid Wright, David Wright, John Wright and Jack Wright, Jr., all of Decatur; one daughter, Jo Ann Wright of Decatur; three sisters, Odella Gulley of Decatur, Laura Worbington of Missouri and Ozelle Black of Gurley; 12 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Nell Peebles Hitt Chamberlain

Mrs. Chamberlain died Saturday, September 4, 1999, at Westwood Healthcare Center. She was a native of Morgan County.
She is survived by one son, Donald Ray (Buddy) Hitt of Hillsboro; one daughter, Linda Gail Carr of Hatton; two brothers, Eli Peebles of Indianapolis, Ind., and Roy Peebles of Falkville; and three grandchildren.
Opal J. Hall
A private memorial service for Opal J. Hall, 85, of Hartselle will be held in California.
Mrs. Hall died Sunday, September 5, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Kansas and moved to Hartselle from Diamond Springs, Calif., in 1995. She is the widow of Willard C. Hall and the mother of the late Linda Hall Smith.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Dupree of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; one brother, Roy M. Love of Sublette, Kan.; one sister, Helen L. Koch of Canon City, Colo.; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pelmer Joe Johnson
Funeral for Pelmer Joe Johnson, 61, of Danville was Monday, September 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Revs. Red Clark and Phillip Sessions officiating.
Burial was in Oak Grove Congregational Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson died Saturday, September 4, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County and was employed as a welder. He was a Mason.
He is survived by two sons, Wayne Johnson of Moulton and Chuck Johnson of Town Creek; three daughters, JoAnn Gunner of Danville, Cindy Dempsey of Town Creek and Tammy Terry of Moulton. His mother, Mable Latham of Trinity; four brothers, James Latham of Moulton, Johnny Latham of Danville, and Jackie Latham and Jerry Latham, both of Trinity; five sisters, Joyce Campbell of Town Creek, Jean Livingston of Priceville, Jane Alexander and Janice Alexander, both of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Gene Southern, Randel Terry, Earl Dempsey, John West, Todd Burgess and Joe Johnson.
Ruby Winnett Williamson
Funeral for Ruby Winnett Williamson, 89, of Pioneer Nursing Home in Melbourne Park, Ark., was Saturday, September 4, at 3:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Smith officiating.
Burial was in Corinth Cemetery on Old Corn Road in Cullman County.
Mrs. Williamson died Tuesday, August 31, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of Jefferson County and a former resident of Morgan County. She was a member of West End United Methodist Church in Hartselle and the daughter of the late Carlene Winnett and Rhonda G. Williams..
She is survived by five sons, Luther Winnett, Jr., of Branson, Mo.; Carlis Winnett and Ronald Winnett, both of Flippin, Ark., Cecil Winnett of Ash Flat, Ark., and Don Winnett of Arkansas; two daughters, Eleanor Bishop of Hartselle and Barbara J. Lampkin of Flippin; 32 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and 28 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Andy Bishop, Jeff Bishop, Jerry Bishop, Marlin Cobb, Marty J. Pearson and Jeff Winnett.
