Funeral for Jonathan Mark (Tiger) Warren, 36, of Decatur was Wednesday, October 20, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Eugene Lewis officiating.
Burial was in Sterrs Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Warren died Saturday, October 16, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County, a graduate of Austin High School and a member of St. Stephen Primitive Baptist Church. He was the brother of the late Leon Taylor and Tashara Griffin.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Warren of Decatur; his stepmother, Shirley Griffin of Danville; eight brothers, Johnny Lee Warren, Billy Warren, Theon Griffin, Clifton Griffin, Maurice Griffin and Orlandus Griffin, all of Decatur, and Jerry Warren of Hartselle; six sisters, Janice Brown of Pittsburgh, Pa., Willie Mae Pointer of Moulton, Vonda Sharpley of Berea, Ohio, and Lotonya Lockett, Wanda Davis and Belinda Griffin, all of Decatur; and his grandfather, Howard Jolly of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Johnny Lee Warren, Ronnie Warren, Billy Warren, Jerry Warren, Maurice Griffin, Clifton Griffin, Theon Griffin and Orlandus Griffin.
Sharlene Webb Clouse

Funeral for Sharlene Webb Clouse, 72, of Huntsville, formerly of Decatur, was Tuesday, October 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. W.K. Stephenson officiating.
Burial was in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mrs. Clouse died Friday, October 22, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Marshall County and a member of First Baptist Church of Huntsville. She was a former member of Central Baptist Church in Decatur and the widow of Bill Clouse and mother of the late James (Jimmy) Clouse.
She is survived by one son, Robert (Sonny) Clouse of Benicia, Calif.; two daughters, Janis Clouse and Robin Clouse, both of Huntsville; and three grandchildren.
Howard D. Thrasher

Funeral for Howard D. Thrasher, 79, of Decatur was Wednesday, October 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with the Revs. Dwight Nesmith and Gary Patton officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Thrasher died Monday, October 18, 1999, at Sun Bridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Conway Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Wholesome Bread Co. and a retired security guard for the Alabama Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Thrasher of Decatur; three sons, Byron Thrasher of Danville, Royce Thrasher of Hartselle and Ronnie Thrasher of Decatur; one daughter, Angie Hughes of Danville; one stepson, Perry Waldrop of Champaign, Ill.; one sister, Wilma Pearl Shelton of Lawrence County; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Rodney Thrasher, Brandon Thrasher, Jeff Thrasher, Mickey Hughes, Chad Suggs and Roy Woods.
Rev. E.M. Barnes, Jr.

Funeral for the Rev. E. M. Barnes, Jr., 83, of Hartselle was Friday, October 15, at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle with the Revs. W.G. Henry, W.L. Cole, Bert Goodwin and Harold Thompson officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Rev. Barnes died Wednesday, October 13, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a native of Chambers County, a retired Methodist minister, active from 1940 to 1980, and pastor emeritus at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle.
He was pastor of Hartselle First United Methodist Church from 1952 to 1957 and 1972 to 1977. During his first term, he assisted in the founding West End United Methodist Church in Hartselle. During his second term, he was chairman of the Faith of Our Fathers Bicentennial. He also served as minister of First United Methodist Church in Decatur from 1965 to 1969 and served as district superintendent of the Albertville District of the United Methodist Church. He also was pastor of churches in Gadsden, Florence, Trussville, Birmingham and Oneonta. He was awarded the Zeus Award by Epsilon Sigma Alpha in 1976, the Humanitarian Award by Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce and Citizen of the Year Award by Hartselle Civitan Club in 1990.
He was an active participant in the Hartselle Ministerial Association, served on the board of trustees at Camp Sumatanga and served on the North Alabama Conference Board on Missions. He received a bachelor's degree from Birmingham-Southern College in Birmingham and a master of divinity degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.
He is survived by his wife, Aline Barnes of Hartselle; one son, Dr. Ernest Mobley Barnes, III of Huntsville; two daughters, Judith Berry of Huntsville and Dr. Susan B. Lamb of Savannah, Ga.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Lee Coon, Ike Groover, Sim Howell, Blake Tanner, Fred Langston, Billy Joe Buckelew, Luther Roberts and Paul Strong.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Hartselle, Birmingham-Southern College or Camp Sumatanga.
Pryor Wilson (Fess) Sandlin

Funeral for Pryor Wilson (Fess) Sandlin, 71, of Hartselle was Sunday, October 17, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Thompson and Buddy Brown officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Sandlin died Friday, October 15, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. He was native of Morgan County and a member of Neel United Methodist Church. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from NASA in Huntsville as a draftsman engineer.
He is survived by one son, Darryl Sandlin of Decatur; two daughters, Debbie Terry and Lorri McNutt, both of Decatur; two brothers, Joe Sandlin of Hartselle and Eugene Sandlin of Rogersville; two sisters, Lois Wallace of Hartselle and Ruth Taylor of Baton Rouge, La.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Destin Sandlin, Kenneth Roberts, Sid Rowe, Tommy Wallace, Raymond Sandlin and David James.
James Douglas Orr

Mr. Orr died Sunday, October 17, 1999, at Sun Bridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Fayetteville, Tenn.
He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Providence Baptist Church.
He is survived by three brothers, Travis Orr of Falkville, Cleo Orr of Decatur and Ardie B. Orr of Danville; and two sisters, Ophelia Patterson and Ruth Batts, both of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Charles Ratliff, William Sharpley, Shelvie Williams, William Higdon, Calvin Sharpley and Clyde Young.
Earle Dewey Kitchen

A memorial service for Earle Dewey Kitchen, 80, of Hartselle was Monday, October 18, at 12:00 noon at the home of Ford and Jane Gates, 56 Church Road in Hartselle, with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Kitchen died Tuesday, October 12, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Georgia and had lived in Hartselle for two years. He was retired from Sears as a store and zone manager after 44 years. He last served as manager of the Sears store in Montgomery. He attended New Center Baptist Church.
He was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels in Montgomery and in Niceville, Fla. He was a member of the vestry of Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Montgomery and a chairman of the Montgomery United Way Campaign. He was a member of the Montgomery Rotary Club and a volunteer court mediator in Florida.
He is survived by four sons, David Kitchen of Pembroke Pines, Fla., Al Kitchen of Atlanta, Ga., Lee Kitchen of Montgomery and Ford Gates of Hartselle; one daughter, Alice Kay Kitchen Williams of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Sharon Dekle of Montgomery and Neal Sessions of Peachtree City, Ga.; two brothers, Al Kitchen of Augusta, Ga. and Harry Kitchen of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Charlotte Bryngelson and Katherine Foran, both of Augusta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
