Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Kirby died Saturday, October 16, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was a route salesman retired from Empire Gas Co.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Inez Kirby of Danville; two sons, Thomas Lamar Kirby of Hartselle and Louis Edward (Eddy) Kirby of Hillsboro; three daughters, Sandra Gail Kirby Milam and Wanda Faye Kirby Patterson, both of Hartselle, and Sue Ann Kirby Patterson of Birmingham; one brother, Joe Kirby of Arab; two sisters, Faye Kirby Bradford of Falkville and Ruth Kirby Martin of Hartselle; 11 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Nephews were pallbearers.

Funeral for Earnest McClain, Jr., 62, of Danville was Tuesday, October 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Joe Gable officiating.
Burial was in Center Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mr. McClain died Sunday, October 17, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital in Decatur. He is a native of Lawrence County, a Baptist and a pipefitter with Local Union #391.
He is survived by his wife, Anna P. McClain of Danville; one son, Games Gregory McClain of Danville; three daughters, Anna Marie Gable of Cullman, Janice Sheri Smith and Sarah Michelle Walker, both of Danville; one brother, Donald McClain of Huntsville; two sisters, Billie Tucker of Decatur and Rhonda Simmons of Hartselle; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Walls, Bobby Simmons, Craig Legg, Mitchel Simmons, Clark Gable and Tony Gable.

Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts died Wednesday, October 13, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital in Decatur. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. She was the mother of the late Avery Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Emmett Avery Roberts of Danville; one daughter, Margaret Roberts Collins of Danville; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joe McDaniel, Wilson Mitchell, Russell Millwood, Don McLemore, Jeff Stewart and Thomas Holland.

Mr. George died Saturday, October 16, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and was employed by Coy Panter Poultry Co.
He is survived by one son, Brian George of Vinemont; two daughters, Stephanie Vincent of Eva and Misty George of Cullman; his mother, Annie Mae George of Falkville; one brother, Leeman George of Eva; three sisters, Vicky Pitts and Emma Roberts, both of Falkville, and, Peggy Cain of Cullman; and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Chris Pitts, Jason Pitts, Nathan Cain, Joseph Cain, Richard George, Jeremy George and Jacob Roberts.

Mr. Smith died Sunday, October 17, 1999, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was a native of Morgan County and a sheetrock finisher. He was the grandson of the late Willadee Smith.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Jerry and Teresa Smith of Hillsboro; his mother, Carlotta Smith of Somerville; one brother, Mickey Smith of Somerville; one sister, Stephanie Smith of Hillsboro; and his grandparents, Riley Smith of Hillsboro and Eula Speed of Decatur.
Pallbearers were Steven Smith, Robert Lynn Smith, Dexter Smith, Mike Lovell, Greg Stephenson, Jeff Smith and Danny Smith.

Burial followed at 4:00 p.m. in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Overton died Wednesday, October 13, 1999, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tenn. She was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Tennessee Women's Golf Association and Nashboro Village Women's Golf Association.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherrie Overton Preuss of Franklin, Tenn.; two brothers, William Peppers of Hartselle and Willard Peppers of Decatur; one sister, Marie Treadway of Moulton; and one granddaughter.
