Funeral for Coreney Powell, 92, of Falkville was Monday, October 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Powell's Chapel Church with the Rev. Bill Partridge officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Powell died Saturday, October 9, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was a native of Cullman County and a member of Powell's Chapel Church. She was a farmer and the widow of Jim Powell and the mother of the late Hollis Powell.
She is survived by four sons, Hubert Powell of Decatur, Edward Powell and Jimmy Powell, both of Falkville, and Noah Powell of Georgia; two daughters, Frances Sandlin and Virginia Edge, both of Falkville; one sister, Ruby Lee of Birmingham; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Ilyeene P. Milam

A graveside service for Ilyeene P. Milam, 80, of Mobile was Monday, October 11, at 4:00 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Milam died Saturday, October 9, 1999, in Mobile. She was a native of Hartselle and had lived in Mobile for 33 years. She was employed as an accountant by Monsanto Company for many years. She was the widow of Clarence D. Milam.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda P. Allen of Decatur; and one grandson.
Herbert Anderson Turner, Jr.

Funeral for Herbert Anderson Turner, Jr., 75, of Decatur was Saturday, October 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Revs. Dr. Dwayne McDuff and Bill Smith officiating
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Turner died Wednesday, October 6, 1999, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. He was a native of Montgomery and retired in 1990 from Brungart Equipment Co. after 22 years. He served as a member of the Decatur Zoning and Adjustment Board for 20 years and was a U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
He was a member of Austinville United Methodist Church, where he served in the Men's Club and was teacher of the Good Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was the last surviving charter member of Austin Lions Club and a two-term president. He was honored as Lion of the Year and also received the Melvin Jones Award.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Turner of Decatur; one son, Terry Turner of Decatur; two daughters, Kim Turner of Atlanta and Cynthia Conn of Hartselle; one sister, Ann Checketts of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Haynes, James McKenzie, Fred Reid, Lamar Millwood, Ray Mitchell and Charlie McCaghren.
Honorary pallbearers were members of Austin Lions Club and Good Fellowship Sunday School Class.
Ada Earlene Hart

Burial was in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hart died Saturday, October 9, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of Oklahoma and a member of Harmony Grove Holiness Church. She was the widow of W.M. (Bodie) Hart.
She is survived by two sons. Andrew J. Hart of Trinity and Charles C. Hart of Somerville; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Dennis Carlton Grubb, Jr.

Mr. Grubb died Saturday, October 9, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County.
He is survived by one son, Christopher Charles Blaze Grubb of Hanceville; his mother, Carolyn Ortega of Decatur; his father, Dennis Grubb; two brothers, Billy Joe Norris of Hartselle and Frank Dean Massey of Cullman.
Pallbearers were Billy Joe Norris, Frank Dean Massey, Andrew Jones, Louie Jones, Mike Wesley and Shannon Jones.
Willard (Tony) Draper

Funeral for Willard (Tony) Draper, 64, of Kalamazoo, Mich., was Saturday, October 9, at 3:00 p.m. at Rupert, Durham and Gren Funeral Home with the Rev. John Vick officiating.
Burial was in Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Draper died Monday, October 4, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County. He grew up in Hartselle and graduated from Morgan County High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hancock and lived in Hawaii for a short time before moving to Kalamazoo. He worked for Allied Paper Co. and was a member of the American Legion and First Free Will Baptist Church of Comstock, Mich. He was the widower of Caroline Draper.
He is survived by one stepson, John Slater of Portage, Mich.; one brother, Tommy E. Draper of Hartselle; his father, Rube Draper of Hartselle; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Alice Lee Nix

A graveside service for Alice Lee Nix, 70, of Hartselle was Tuesday, September 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with the Rev. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Nix died Saturday, September 25, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Franklin County and was retired from Rexnord Holding as a machine operator.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Nix of Hartselle; one daughter, Bettye Curry of Lemont, Ill.; one sister, Mary Ann McKenzie of Kansas City, Kan.; and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Roland Nix, Mike Bice, Mark Nix, Charles Nix, Dennis Vinson and Eldridge Blackwood.
