Funeral for George T. Hammond, 74, of Hartselle was Tuesday, December 28, ber 27, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Joe Hoover and Calvin Inman officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Hammond died Saturday, December 25, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Lauderdale County and a member East Highland Baptist Church., where he was a deacon and church organizer. He was retired from First National Bank of Decatur, where he was loan control officer.
He is survived by one son, Thomas C. Hammond of Decatur; one brother, Robert L. Hammond of Florence; one sister, Annie M. Pettus of Hartselle; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Paul Wallace, Patrick Pettus, Art Glasgow, Lee Hammond, David Hammond and Don Pettus.
Atha Legg Moore

Funeral for Atha Legg Moore, 85, of Hartselle was Friday, December 24, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Hill and Hugh Compton officiating.
Burial was in Moss Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Moore died Wednesday, December 22, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. She was the widow of John H. Moore and the mother of the late Roy Wayne Martin.
She is survived by three sons, Wallace Martin, Jr. of Terry, Miss., Billie Martin of Decatur and Hal (Pedo) Crewell of Hartselle; three daughters, Katrina Martin and Brenda Byrd, both of Hartselle, and Freda Watkins of Gainesville, Ga.; one brother, George Benjamin Legg, Jr. of Decatur; one sister, Mavo Mayfield of Decatur; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ray Glaze, Allen Boyer, Donald Legg, Carl Legg, Douglas Legg and Frankie Legg.
Sarah Augusta Long

Funeral for Sarah Augusta Long, 90, of Falkville was Wednesday, December 29, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Zimmerman officiating.
Burial was in Falkville Cemetery.
Mrs. Long died Monday, December 27, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Falkville First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Long of Birmingham; two daughters, June Long Stephenson of Birmingham and Jane Long Crofford of Melbourne, Ark.; and one sister, Merle Summerford Drinkard of Cullman.
Pallbearers were C.A. Blevins, Jimmy Steele, Mike Tarpley, Gary Williams, Tom Wunch and Tommy Wunch.
Carl S. Muzzey

Funeral for Carl S. Muzzey, 83, of Somerville was Saturday, Feb. 1, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Standridge officiating.
Burial was in Somerville Church of God Cemetery.
Mr. Muzzey died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2003, at Parkway Medical Center. A native of Morgan County, he was retired as a mechanic from Solutia in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda Prue Stringer Muzzey of Somerville; three sons, Dwight Muzzey of Decatur, Danny Muzzey and Jeff Muzzey, both of Somerville; four daughters, Kay Sharp, Faye Treakle, both of Somerville, Sue Manley of Athens and Judy Cook of Somerville; five sisters, Mae Orme and Edna Corder,k both of Hartselle, Myrtle Slaten of Trinity, Hilda Whitworth of Athens and Wilda Ryan of Decatur; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.

Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Segars died Saturday, December 25, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Danville United Methodist Church. He was retired from Wolverine Tube, Inc., where he was a crane operator.
He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn L. Segars of Danville; four sons, James Segars, Jerry Segars and Larry Segars, all of Danville, and Charles Segars of Decatur; one sister, Essie Garnett of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Jack Church Busch

Funeral for Jack Church Busch, 76, of Priceville was Monday, December 27, at 1:00 p.m. Shelton Funeral Home with the Revs. Raymond Gibson and Harold Fanning officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Busch died Friday, December 24, 1999, at South Baldwin Hospital in Foley. He was a native of Morgan County and a retired electrician who worked at Brookley Field in Mobile and Alabama and Goss Electric of Decatur. He was a member and deacon of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and was active in summer mission projects, helping to build churches in Wyoming, Oklahoma, Colorado, Maine, Pennyslvania, Kentucky, Alabama and Ohio. He was a graduate of Gadsden State Technical College and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Busch of Priceville; two sons, Jack B. Busch of Gulf Shores and Jerry Busch of Decatur; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Wallace Hazelrig, David LaChance, William Depreast, Charles Bailey, Paul Bailey and Wayne Creel.
