James Ernest Bramlett
Friday, December 10, 1999

Funeral for James Ernest Bramlett, 77, of Valhermoso Springs was Monday, December 13, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church with the Revs. Clint Coffey and Wendell Miller officiating.
Burial was in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Bramlett died Friday, December 10, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital-East. He was a native of Marshall County and a lifelong member of Valhermoso First Christian Church. He was a farmer and carpenter and the widower of Meriam Marie Bramlett.
He is survived by two sons, James W. Bramlett of Valhermoso Springs and Ernest Keith Bramlett of Asheville, N.C.; one daughter, Sandra B. Sims of Valhermoso Springs; one brother, Adrain Dwain Bramlett of Chicago, Ill; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Lloyd E. (Clod) Sullivan
December 7, 1999

Funeral for Lloyd E. (Clod) Sullivan, 86, of Decatur was Thursday, December 9, at 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Covell Keenum officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Sullivan died Tuesday, December 7, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a carpenter. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the father of the late Kenneth (Jughead) Sullivan.
He is survived by one son, Lloyd (Hamp) Sullivan of Decatur; three daughters, Barbara Bowling and Sandra Borden, both of Hartselle, and Martha (Roscoe) Griffin of Falkville; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.

Mary Edith Collier
December 13, 1999

Funeral for Mary Edith Collier, 80, of Decatur was Wednesday, December 15, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Douglas Ripley officiating.
Burial was in Collier Cemetery in Priceville.
Mrs. Collier died Monday, December 13, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of Alabama.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald F. Collier and Charles L. Collier, both of Priceville; one daughter, Carolyn Collier of Priceville; and one granddaughter.

Ruth Warren
December 12, 1999

Funeral for Ruth Warren, 76, of Decatur was Wednesday, December 15, at 1:00 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward Owens officiating.
Burial was in Sterrs Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Warren died Sunday, December 12, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of Morgan County and retired from Decatur General Hospital. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, where she served on the Sister Aide Society. She was the mother of the late Johnathan Mark (Tiger) Warren and Leon Taylor.
She is survived by four sons, Ronnie Warren, Billy Warren and Johnny Warren, all of Decatur, and Jerry Warren of Hartselle; two daughters, Willie Mae Pointer of Moulton and Janice Ann Brown of Pittsburgh, Pa.; her father, Howard Jolly of Decatur; two sisters, Mary Williams of Decatur and Rosie Rice of Huntsville; 19 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Warren, Billy Warren, Johnny Warren, Jerry Warren, DeRon Walker and Billy Wayne Harney.

Tarry Stephenson Hays
December 2, 1999

Funeral for Tarry Stephenson Hays, 73, of Hartselle was Sunday, December 5, at 1:00 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. F.A. Shepard officiating.
Burial was in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hays died Thursday, December 2, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Blount County and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was retired from Cudaha Tanning Co. in Milwaukee, Wis.
He is survived by two sons, Johnny Hays and Steve Hays, both of Decatur; two daughters, Ann Hamilton of Hartselle and Judy Sparks of Trinity; one brother, Grady Hays of Cullman; two sisters, Cora Davis of Danville and Ruby Clem of Trinity; 12 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jake Sparks, Jonathan Sparks, Joseph Sparks, Bobby Tyra, David Bradford, Sr., and Danny Muse.

Mary Rebecca Grantland
December 4, 1999

Funeral for Mary Rebecca Grantland, 76, of Hartselle was Monday, December 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Evans officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Grantland died Saturday, December 4, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of Giles County, Tenn. She was formerly employed at Elmore's Department Store and W.T. Grant Department Store in Decatur before retiring as a clerk and door greeter at Kmart.
She is survived by her husband, Leon Grantland of Hartselle; and one brother, John Chambers of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Paul Derrington, David Twilley, Kenneth Bolton, Keven Bolton, L.C. Dunn and Rickey White.

Bertha Sanders Prince
December 7, 1999

Funeral for Bertha Sanders Prince, 89, of Hartselle will be Thursday, December 9, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Morton officiating.
Burial will be in Shoal Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Prince died Tuesday, December 7, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. She was the widow of Owen Prince and the mother of the late Bobby Ray Prince and Jackie Lee Prince.
She is survived by four daughters, Sue Simpson of Falkville, Shirley Holt of Priceville, Peggy Pucheu of Altoona and Joyce Alexander of Chattanooga, Tenn. ; two sisters, Gerthie Hitt of Largo, Fla. and Lula White of Decatur; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
