Graveside services for Ruby L. White, 85, of 3808 Franklin Drive, Anniston, was Friday, November 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Forestlawn Gardens with Dr. Billy Harris officiating and Gray-Brown-Service Mortuary and Crematory in charge.
Mrs. White died Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at National Health Care Center. She was retired from Berman-Gayle's, where she had worked for many years. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church and of the LLL Sunday School Class. She was the widow of James Earl White.
She is survived by a son, Bobby Earl White of Anniston; two sisters, Cleo Floyd of Birmingham and Dorothy Bowers of Hartselle; one brother, Walter Preston Newman of Hartselle; two grandchildren, David Preston White of Huntsville and Daniel Harrison White of Wilmington, N.C., and five great grandchildren.
Edward Felton Goodson

Funeral for Edward Felton Goodson, 77, of Lacey's Spring was Tuesday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Eldridge Criscoe officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Goodson died Sunday, November 28, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Rescue United Methodist Church. He was retired from 3M in Decatur and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Felton Goodson of Morgan City and Ralph Edward Goodson of Lacey's Spring; and one granddaughter.
Birtie Lawrence Howell

A graveside service for Birtie Lawrence Howell, 84, of Florence was Wednesday, December 1, at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Bill Compton officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Howell died Monday, November 29, 1999, at Florence Comprehensive Care. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Deanna Mayfield of Florence; one sister, Lovella Norman of Decatur; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Helen Louise Metzger

Funeral for Helen Louise Metzger, 63, of Hartselle was Friday, November 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeri Hunt officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Metzger died Tuesday, November 16, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was a native of Manchester, Ind., and a retired supervisor at Martin's department store. She was a member of Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Women of the Moose and Xi Beta Upsilon, where she served as corresponding secretary and service chairwoman.
She is survived by her husband, Larry E. Metzger of Hartselle; two sons, Mike Metzger of Decatur and Tim Metzger of Lacey's Spring; two daughters, Lori Nelson of Hartselle and Susan King of Oneonta; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gavin King, Jack King, Tim Metzger, Jr., David Nelson, Jonathan Nelson, Jim Marvel and Bob Quick.
Effie R. Steele Jarrett

Burial was in Andrews Chapel Cemetery near Danville.
Mrs. Jarrett died Wednesday, November 17, 1999, at Falkvile Healthcare Center. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Penn Church of God. She was the widow of Timothy Jarrett and mother of the late Reyford Jarrett.
She is survived by one son, Rathern Jarrett of Danville; three daughters, Cora Powell and Audrey Legg, both of Falkville, and Doris Penn of Crane Hill; five brothers, Johnny Steele of Sidney, Ohio, Ernest Steel of Morris and Cecil Steele, Dewey Steele and Emmett Steele, all of Danville; two sisters, Odie Lee Lawrence and Edna Bibb, both of Danville; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Dorothy (Dot) Smith Russell

Mrs. Russell died Wednesday, November 17, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Limestone County and a member of Hartselle Church of Christ. She was retired from Decatur General Hospital, where she worked in central supplies.
She is survived by one son, Edgar Earl E. Smith of Decatur; two daughters, Brenda Smith Julian of Mobile and Dianne Terry Lewter of Hartselle; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Wilbur Gene Henderson

Burial was in West Point Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Henderson died Thursday, November 18, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a member and deacon at West Point Baptist Church. He was retired as a materials handler at Dana Corp in Arab.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Wray Henderson of Somerville; three sons, Aubrey Gene Henderson, Jeffrey Roy Henderson and Jerry Dale Henderson, all of Somerville; one sister, Lucille Henderson Stevenson of Somerville; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Wayne Wray, Grey Wray, Scott Wood, Bobby Haga, Lafett Hendrix. and Andrew Stevenson, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Parsons of Hartselle; two sons, Larry Parsons of Wellford, S.C., and Steve Parsons of Hartselle; one daughter, Rebecca Pace of Harvest; and one sister, Mildred Hodges of Hoover.
Pallbearers were members of West Hartselle Baptist Church.
