Marian L. Hainley
November 19, 1999

Funeral for Marian L. Hainley, 66, of Decatur was Wednesday, November 24, at Mellinger's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Shoeneck, Pa., with the Rev. Timothy L. Craven officiating.
Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Fritztown, Pa., with Roseboro Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hainley died Friday, November 19, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Lancaster County, Pa., and a member of Mellinger's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a shipping and packing inspector at Dutchmaid in Ephrata, Ga., for 25 years. She was the widow of Richard L. Hainley.
She is survived by two sons, Richard D. Hainley of Hanceville and Jeff L. Hainley of Ephrata; one daughter, Brenda S. Draft of Eva; one sister, Betty J. Wolf of Ephrata; and four grandchildren.

Margaret Marie Morris
November 19, 1999

A graveside service for Margaret Marie Morris, 78, of Decatur was Sunday, November 21, at Decatur City Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Anderton officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Morris died Friday, November 19, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of Morgan County.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Hagamaker of Decatur and Raymond Morris of Moulton; two sisters, Cora May Ferguson of Iowa and Lula May Shankle of Decatur; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Marion Nicholas Polasik
November 19, 1999

A memorial service for Marion Nicholas Polasik, 77, of Trinity was Wednesday, November 24, at 12:00 noon at Saint Ann's Catholic Church in Decatur with the Rev. Joseph Culotta officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Polasik died Friday, November 19, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Wisconsin and a member of the Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was also a member of the Supreme Headquarter Allied Expeditionary Force at the Battle of the Bulge.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly L. Polasik of Trinity; two sons, Christopher Polasik of Oletha, Kan., and Paul Polasik of Decatur; two daughters, Mary Polasik of Houston, Tex., and Jean Hand of Trinity; one brother, Paul Polasik of Rogers, Ark.; one sister, Rita Maersch of West Allis, Wis.; and four grandchildren.

Louise Rodgers Holloway
November 21, 1999

A graveside service for Louise Rodgers Holloway, 84, of Birmingham, was Tuesday, November 23, at 3:00 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. John Yount officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Holloway died Sunday, November 21, 1999, at Shelby Ridge Nursing Home and Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a former resident of Decatur and a member of Central United Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Moore of Birmingham; two brothers, J. Gene Rodgers of Hartselle and James A. Rodgers of Houston, Tex.; four sisters, Mamie Rodgers of Falkville; Jewel Johnson of Gadsden, and Ruby Huskey and Martha Patterson, both of Hartselle; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Ola Mae Sharp
November 22, 1999

Funeral for Ola Mae Sharp, 81, of Decatur was Wednesday, November 24, at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Revs. Cecil Berry and Hafford Sharp officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Sharp died Monday, November 22, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born on March 4, 1918, in Morgan County to Robert F. Duke and Mary Elizabeth Motes Duke. She was a life long member of Cave Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Sharp and her son, Johnny Sharp.
She is survived by one son, Billy Sharp of Muscle Shoals; one daughter, Gina Coulter of Hartselle; one brother, Alex Duke of Florida; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Thomas (Pete) McCutcheon
November 17, 1999

Funeral with military honors for Thomas (Pete) McCutcheon, 69, of Hartselle was Wednesday, November 17, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lindsey Herndon and Bob Csikos officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mr. McCutcheon died Monday, November 15, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Central Christian Church.
He was retired from the Alabama Army National Guard as a first sergeant after serving in the military service for more than 40 years. He joined the U.S. Army in 1949 and served in Korea in 1951-52 with the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He reenlisted in the Alabama National Guard in 1953 with Company C, 1343d Engineering Battalion in Hartselle. He accepted the position of unit administrator in 1954 and was promoted to first sergeant in 1960. He retired as unit administrator in 1986 so he could go back to active duty as the National Guard Liaison at Fort McClellan as well as work with Alabama National Guard operations in South and Central America.
He is survived by his wife, Katie McCutcheon of Hartselle; two sons, Thomas Wesley McCutcheon of Hartselle and Jeffery Gene McCutcheon of Ft. Payne; one daughter, Karia Buffington of Burbank, Calif.; two brothers, Bill McCutcheon of Birmingham and Gene McCutcheon of Decatur; two sisters, Juanita Pitts of Chicago, Ill., and Frances Williams of Burnsville, Miss.; and six grandchildren.
Military personnel were pallbearers.

Edward Earl Penn
November 17, 1999

A graveside service for Edward Earl Penn, 52, of Hartselle was Wednesday, November 17, at 11:00 a.m. at McKendree Cemetery with the Rev. Virgil Bohn officiating.
Mr. Penn died Monday, November 15, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of McKendree United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Lois White Penn of Hartselle; and one brother, Rufus A. Penn of Danville.
Pallbearers were Jim Bramlett, Tim Bramlett, Carl Penn, Russell Reeder, Steve Anders and Allen Hopkins.

Earnest Coy Summerford
November 10, 1999

Funeral for Earnest Coy Summerford, 57, of Hartselle was Saturday, November 13, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bill Hampton and Wendell McClanahan officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Summerford died Wednesday, November 10, 1999, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County, a Baptist and a truck driver for Bestway.
He is survived by one son, Michael Joe Summerford of Hartselle; one daughter, Bonnie Faye Summerford of Hartselle; two brothers, Roy Summerford and Allen Summerford, both of Hartselle; and four sisters, Hazel Taylor, Mildred Ledlow, Nell Shaneyfelt and Ruth Campbell, all of Hartselle.
