Funeral for Walter Fairbanks, Sr., 87, of Shephard, Tex., formerly of Hartselle, was Friday, October 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Priceville Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd West officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fairbanks died Monday, October 25, 1999, at Northeast Medical Center in Humble, Tex. He was a native of Chattanooga, Tenn., and attended Summerbrook Church of God of Prophecy. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired security agent for the Pinkerton Company. He was the father of the late L.G. Fairbanks.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Fairbanks of Shephard; three sons, Walter T. Fairbanks, Jr., Ottis P. Fairbanks and Carl G. Fairbanks, all of Decatur; eight daughters, Patricia A. Elliott, Betty J. Hardiman, and Brinda K. Blagburn, all of Decatur, Flo Fairbanks of Panama City, Fla., Doris M. Keen of Shephard, Martha K. Thompson and Judy E. Elliott, both of Rusk, Tex., and Maggie C. Kaney of Alexander City; two brothers, Charles Gilbert and Houston Brady, both of Hartselle; two sisters, Francis Burns and Mae Byford, both of Hartselle; 37 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.

A graveside service for Rosemary Quay Robinson, 78, of Naples, Fla., was Saturday, October 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Forrest Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Brady McCullough officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Robinson died Wednesday, October 27, 1999, at her residence. She was a native of New York and the former owner of Robinson Grocery in Hartselle.
She is survived by three sons, Edward VanCamp of Witchita Falls, Tex., Dale Robinson of Hartselle and Raymond Robinson of Altamont Springs, Fla.; two daughters, Sue Wolfert of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Wilda Hernandez of Naples, Fla.; one brother, Dan Quay Waurzyneak of New York; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral for John Lee Stephenson, 73, of Hartselle was Saturday, February 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Walter Blackman, Ralph Jones and Calvin Inman officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Stephenson died Thursday, February 18, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a charter member of East Highland Baptist Church. He was a retired service manager at McClary Tire Company and a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Stephenson and Loyd Stephenson, and one sister, Mildred Stephenson English.
He is survived by his wife, Mary McLain Stephenson of Hartselle; five sons, David Stephenson of Florence, Douglas Stephenson, Christopher Stephenson and Danny Stephenson, all of Hartselle, and Donald Stephenson of Decatur; one sister, Sylvia Stephenson Walker of Falkville; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Jones, Scott Stephenson, Stewart Stephenson, Jimmie Walker, Rick Stephenson and Richard Gurley.

Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Speake died Sunday, February 20, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. She was a native of Lawrence County and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a licensed practical nurse.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy Lee and Roger Speake, both of Hartselle; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tom Hines, Alan Vinson, Jonathan Ester, Jim Sanford, Carl Speake and Neil Preuitt.

Mr. Trent died Sunday, February 20, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a native of Batesville and a self-employed antiques dealer.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Trent of Hartselle; one daughter, Florence M. Caudle of Hartselle; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy T. McQuary of Hartselle; one son, Shannon McQuary of Decatur; one daughter, Kandice McQuary of Hartselle; four bothers, Robert Phelan and Redmond Phelan, both of Roswell, Ga., Allan Wallace of Georgia and Charles Wallace of Hartselle; her stepmother, Linda Wallace of Hartselle; and one granddaughter.

Mr. Williams died Monday, February 21, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver for DSI Transport. He was preceded in death by a son, Jack Large.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Williams of Falkville; five sons, Jerry L. Large of Gaylord, Mich., Russell L. Large of Denver, Colo., Billy H. Large of Mishawaka, Ind, Harlan Large of Port Huron, Mich., and Gary Williams of Ohio; two daughters, Bonnie L. Olson of LaPorte, Ind., and Gloria J. Lilly of Delmar, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ralph Nelson, Max Schrimsher, Jerry Shepherd, Don Barden, Davis Holmes and Austin Hicks.
