A graveside service for Martha Watson of Decatur was Tuesday, February 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bonnie Romans officiating and Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Ms. Watson died Sunday, February 20, 2000, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Ninth Avenue United Methodist Church. She was the sister of the late Melonae Watson-Sims.
She is survived by three sisters, Nan Knight of Decatur, Ravenna Childers and Margaret Childers, both of Hartselle.

Elmer Lee Roberts, Sr.

Funeral for Elmer Lee Roberts, Sr., 63, of Lacey's Spring was Sunday, February 13, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Morrow officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts died Thursday, February 10, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville. He was a native of Morgan County and a farmer and commercial fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Roberts of Lacey's Spring; one son, Elmer Lee Roberts, Jr., of Lacey's Spring; two daughters, Ann Mahaffey of Hartselle and Sylvia Kay McBride of Sexton; his mother, Edith Roberts of Hartselle; two brothers, Roy Roberts of Valhermoso Springs and David Roberts of Hartselle; two sisters, Lillian Abner and Lorene Simmons, both of Hartselle; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Leroy Abner, Willard Abner, Clyde Barrett, Chris Mahaffey, David Youngblood and Daniel Youngblood.

Annie Lou Campbell Evans

Funeral for Annie Lou Campbell Evans, 93, of Decatur was Friday, February 11, at 11:00 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel in Picayune, Miss., with the Revs. David McKelvey, Jim Powell and John Wayne Goodwin officiating.
Burial was in Jones Chapel Cemetery in McNeill, Miss.
Peck Funeral Home handled local arrangements.
Mrs. Campbell died Wednesday, February 9, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home.
She was a native of Pearl River County, Miss. and a house mother at Pearl River Junior College in Poplarville, Miss., for 15 years before her retirement. She was a member of Rosland Park Baptist Church in Picayune.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Turpin of Wichita Falls, Tex., Joy Moss of Crossville, Tenn., and Elizabeth Power of Decatur; three sisters, Ruth Campbell, Helen Goodwin and Elizabeth Porter, all of Picayune; seven grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Harold Robert Pfaff

Funeral for Harold Robert Pfaff, 94, of Falkville was Friday, February 11, at 1:00 p.m. at McKee-Miles Funeral Home in Garrett, Tenn.
Peck Funeral home handled local arrangements.
Mr. Pfaff died Sunday, February 6, at Falkville Health Care Center. He was native of Garrett, Ind., and a Catholic. He was a retired mill worker for Georgia Pacific.
He is survived by two stepdaughters, Glenda Roberts of Hartselle and Margaret Merritt of Decatur; one brother, Ralph Pfaff of Garrett; one sister, Aileen Sarlor of Pfaff; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

Jacqueline Hargrove

Funeral for Jacqueline Hargrove, 42, of Priceville was Saturday, February 12, at 12:00 noon at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Evans officiating.
Burial was in Raper Cemetery.
Mrs. Hargrove died Thursday, February 10, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Morgan County.
She is survived by one son, David Hargrove of Decatur; and three brothers, Joel Sandlin and Michael Sandlin, both of Decatur, and Mark Sandlin of Hartselle.

Christine Hill

Funeral for Christine Hill, 52, of Lacey's Spring was Friday, February 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Holiness Church with the Rev. Walter Peace officiating.
Burial was in Hough Cemetery with Twickenham Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hill died Tuesday, February 8, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Morgan County and the widow of J.M. Hill and the brother of the late Billy West.
She is survived by two sons, Wesley L. Hill and Todd Hill, both of Lacey's Spring; one daughter, Kathy Maples of Grant; two brothers, Larry West of Cotaco and Kenneth West of Lacey's Spring; two sisters, Jean West and Faye Wilson, both of Lacey's Spring; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Terry West, Mike Dalton, Barney Dalton, Tim Wilson, Kevin West, Daniel West, Steve Dudley and Barry Wilson.

Welborn LaRoy (Chip)
Matthews, Jr.

Funeral for Welborn LaRoy (Chip) Matthews, Jr., 49, of Danville was Sunday, February 13, at 3:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jack Bailey and Dan Compton officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Matthews died Friday, February 11, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Fort Payne and a teacher at Danville High School and an adjunct instructor at Calhoun Community College. He served as attorney for United American Autoworkers and was in private law practice in Decatur. He was a member of the Alabama Bar Association and Alabama Education Association.
He was a member and Sunday School teacher at Danville Baptist Church.
He was a graduate of Eisenhower High School in Oklahoma, a graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, a graduate of Athens State University with a B.S. degree in education and a graduate of Cumberland Law School with a doctorate in jurisprudence. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fitzgerald Matthews of Danville; two daughters, Carrie Elizabeth Matthews and Katie Ann Matthews, both of Danville; his parents, retired Lt. Col. Welborn LaRoy and LaJean Hammond Matthews of Valley Head; and one sister, Leslie Matthews Bunch of Valley Head.
Pallbearers were Ken Hammond, Jimmy Morgan, David Morgan, Jim Curlee, John McCaleb and Pat Tate.
