Funeral for Wanda Stapler, 52, of Lacey's Spring was Sunday, February 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Twickenham Funeral Home South with Radford Pritchett officiating.
Burial was in Hough Cemetery.
Mrs. Stapler died Friday, February 11, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Madison County.
She is survived by her husband, Calvin Stapler of Lacey's Spring; five daughters, Tammy Stapler, Celeste Hammonds, Misty Stapler and Erica Stapler, all of Lacey's Spring, and Celena Scott of Union Hill; her mother, Leona Wilson of Huntsville; six brothers, Pete Wilson of Lacey's Spring, Wayne Wilson and Jearl Wilson, both of Huntsville, Allen Wilson of Harvest, Don Wilson of Morgan City and Fred Wilson of Brownsboro; five sisters, Georgia Anders, Barbara Kennemer, Melissa McCutcheon, Kathy Traglia and Bonnier Soloman, all of Huntsville; and five grandchildren.

Funeral for Ollie Helms Johnson, 81, of Somerville was Sunday, February 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church with the Revs. Katherine Perkins and Tom Larkin officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Johnson died Saturday, February 12, 2000, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation in Decatur. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. She was a retired lunchroom manager at Cotaco Junior High School and the widow of Howard Johnson.
She is survived by three daughters, Julia Rolfe, Dorothy Garner and Sandra Dunlap, all of Somerville; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Phillip Rolfe, Steve Thompson, Richard Bell, Roger Garner, Phillip Binkley and Jerry Helms.

Funeral for Jimmy B. Mitchell, 45, of Trinity was Thursday, February 10, at 12:00 noon at Oak Grove First Congregational Church with the Rev. Bobby Bentley officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Mitchell died Tuesday, February 8, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Oak Grove First Congregational Church. He was a truck driver for J.L.T. Inc.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Mitchell of Trinity; two sons, Dewayne Mitchell of Somerville and Aaron Mitchell of Trinity; three daughters, Nicole Pettey of Somerville, Bridjette Powers of Speake and Kellie Roy of Trinity; his parents, the Rev. C.L. Mitchell and Freda McCarley Mitchell of Somerville; two sisters, Vicki Green of Somerville and Judy Turney of Madison; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Johnson, James (Bunk) Whitlock, Jeff Standridge, Eddie Owens, Ronnie Parker, David (Pee Wee) Leeth, Timmy Edwards and Larry Whitlock.

Funeral for Robert Linzie (R.L.) Ralph, Jr., 71, of Vinemont was Tuesday, February 15, at 3:00 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Larry Brown and Tim Holt officiating.
Burial was in Flint Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Ralph died Monday, February 14, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and manager at Kayo Oil Co. for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Nell Garrett Ralph of Vinemont; three sons, Eugene Ralph, Donald Ralph and John Ralph, all of Vinemont; one daughter, Anita Dean of Good Hope; his mother, Eunice Ralph of Cullman; one brother, John Ralph of Fruitvale, Tex.; three sisters, Gracie Petty of Ft. Worth, Tex., Susie Cadle of Vinemont and Helen Bowen of Trimble; and two grandchildren.
Thelma Chapman Hanks

Funeral for Thelma Chapman Hanks, 93, of Decatur was Tuesday, February 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with Ralph Stout and Mike King officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Hanks died Sunday, February 13, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Giles County, Tenn., and a charter member of East Jackson Church of Christ. She moved with the congregation in 1925 to Grant Street Church of Christ. She was cafeteria manager at Calhoun Community College for 21 years before retiring in 1973.
She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Hanks Parr of Hartselle; one brother, Bill Chapman of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Glen Spencer, Jim Meadows, David Parr, Doug Chapman, Don Chapman, Don Wilkerson, Johnny Mathews and Jim Swanner.
Clovis I. Sandlin

Funeral for Clovis I. Sandlin, 64, of Decatur was Saturday, February 12, at 12:00 noon at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Evans officiating.
Burial was in Raper Cemetery.
Mrs. Sandlin died Wednesday, February 9, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was retired from Decatur General Hospital, where he was a central service technician for 20 years. She was the sister of the late Tennis Russell and the mother of the late Jacqueline Hargrove.
She is survived by three sons, Joel Sandlin and Michael Sandlin, both of Decatur, and Mark Sandlin of Hartselle; three brothers, Autry Russell, Malcolm Russell and Greg Russell, all of Decatur; two sisters, Mary Clanton of Niles, Mich., and Margaret Newsom of Decatur; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Grandsons and nephews were pallbearers.

Mrs. Compton died Monday, February 7, 2000, at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, N.J. She was a native of Baltimore, Md., and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of the North Alabama Nursing Association.
She is survived by three sons, James D. Compton, Jr., of Somerville, Robert D. Compton of Cleveland, Tenn., and Thomas V. Compton of Decatur; one daughter, Jeanette Compton Parker of Somerville; three brothers, Robert Hartley of Bradenton, Fla., Victor Hartley of Sea Isle City, N.J., and Henry Hartley of East Hampton, Conn.; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Clint Howard, James Compton, III, D. Chris Hampton, Gordon Hughes, II, James (Jimbo) Parker, Gregory Compton, Jonathan Compton and Ashley Compton.

Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery in Morgan County.
Mr. Webster died Thursday, February 10, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Athens. He was a retired insurance salesman and farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Verdie McGee Webster; two sons, Lee O. Webster of Madison and Rolland Webster of Athens; one daughter, Yvonne Monk of Athens; one brother, Cecil Webster of Childersburg; two sisters, Verdie Houser of Sylacauga and Ruby Lang Bedingfield of Sylacauga; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
