A graveside service for Michael Ray Williams, 54, of Decatur was Monday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jimmy Hazel officiating.
Mr. Williams died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at his residence. He was born Feb. 13, 1950, in Morgan County to Harold Ray Williams and Mary B. Murphree.
He is survived by his mother, Mary B. Murphree of Decatur; special friends, Anita Williams of Decatur, Marilyn Champion, Robert Champion, Steven Champion and Alesia Champion.

Marcos Antonio Cook
July 29, 2004
Funeral for Marcos Antonio Cook, 3-1/2 months, were Sunday, Aug. 1, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bradford officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Infant Cook died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at University Hospital in Birmingham. He was born April 16, 2004, in Morgan County to Misty Cook.
He is survived by his mother, Misty Cook of Danville; his sister, Kallie Shay Cook of Danville; and grandparents Elaine Farley of Arab, Roger Farley of Arab and Guy and Marget Cook of Danville.
Pallbearers were Guy Cook, III and Mark Cook.

Learreal 'Lil' Massey Owens
July 27, 2004
Funeral for Learreal "Lil" Massey Owens, 58, of Somerville was Friday, July 30 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allen Russell officiating.
Burial was in Slaten Cemetery.
Mrs. Owens died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at her residence. She was born June 14, 1946, in Morgan County to William Bradley "W.B." Massey and Hattie Belle Taylor Massey. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church at Brooksville. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two sons, William Bradley Owens of Somerville and James Wade Owens of Brooksville; one brother, W. J. "Junior" Massey of Decatur; four sisters, Lucille Hopper of Hartselle, Lether Morgan of Milton, Fla., Estelle Robinson and Lera Steele, both of Decatur; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James "Jimmy" Owens, Corey Prince, Trent Owens, Blake Owens, Little Man Massey and Steven Landers.

James T. McNutt
August 2, 2004
Funeral for James T. McNutt, 69, of Addison, was Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Pitts, Tim Hearing and Darrell Kimbrel officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. McNutt died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at his residence. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Hartselle. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen McNutt and two grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Louise McNutt of Hartselle; two sons, Wesley McNutt and Wayne McNutt, both of Addison; three daughters, Sandra Chaney of Lacon, Mae Hammac of Eva and Vonda Bailey of Decatur; two brothers, Floyd Ray McNutt of Somerville and Robert McNutt of Priceville; and 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Josh Abernathy, Michael Powers, Bruce Kelley Powers, Russell Bradley, Matthew McNutt and Jonathan Chaney.
Honorary pallbearers were Eric VanVoorst, Aaron McNutt and Chase Chaney.

James Ransom

Joint funeral services for James Ransom, 87, and Vida Mae Ransom, 85, of Hartselle, were Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating.
Burials were in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Ransom died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Jan. 10, 1917, in Madison to Nathaniel Houston Ransom and Lillie Vest Ransom. He was a member of the New Center Baptist Church and retired from the United States Army, where he was a Staff Sgt. He was married 49 years to Vida Mae Bradley Ransom, who died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004.
He is survived by two sons, Keith Ransom and wife Tina of Hartselle and Ricky Ransom of Hartselle; two sisters, Margaret Cobble of Huntsville and Birdie Hillard of Toney; two sisters, Julie Harvel and Margaret Blankenship; three brothers; Hershel Harvel, Bill Harvel and Howard Harvel; and grandchildren, Jason Ransom, Dusty Ransom and Tiffany Ransom.
Mrs. Ransom died Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Jan. 10, 1917 (cemetery stone says "25 Feb 1927") in Morgan County to Houston Leeth and Ivalyn Leeth. She was a member of the New Center Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Ransom and wife Tina of Hartselle and Ricky Ransom of Hartselle; two sisters, Julie Harvel and Margaret Blankenship; three brothers; Hershel Harvel, Bill Harvel and Howard Harvel; and grandchildren, Jason Ransom, Dusty Ransom and Tiffany Ransom.
Pallbearers were Gary Blankenship, Dave Patterson, James Patterson, Pete Ivey, Bradley Maples and Geoff Halbrooks.

Hazel Larven Key
August 1, 2004
Funeral for Hazel Larven Key, 91, of Cullman was Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Willie Delashaw and Billy Jackson officiating.
Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery in Speake.
Mrs. Key died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at Cullman Health Care Center. She was born May 21, 1913, in Lawrence County to Lawrence Lowrey and Dessie Aldridge Lowrey. She was a member of the Speake Church of God. She was preceded in death by one sister, Myrtie Stover.
She is survived by one son, Harold Key of Danville; one grandson, Danny Key; and two great granddaughters, Amanda Key and Jessica Borden.
Pallbearers were nephews.

Gregory Jason Prince

Funeral for Gregory Jason Prince, 29, of Hartselle was Friday, July 30 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. William Martin Depreast and Billy Cagle officiating.
Burial was in Shoal Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Prince died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born July 7, 1975, in Morgan County to Oneal and Betty Prince. He worked at Nichols Aluminum in Decatur.
H is survived by his parents, Oneal and Betty Prince of Hartselle; one brother, Steven Prince; one sister, Leigh Ann Swaim and husband Robert; his grandmother, Hattie Prince of Hartselle; and two nieces, Haley and Holly Swaim.
Pallbearers were Chris Hodges, Frank Ellis, Gary Fulmer, Darryl Fulmer, Russ Stone and Camron Prince.
