A graveside service for Sharon Kay Bradford, 61, of Falkville was Friday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Marshall Norman officiating.
Mrs. Bradford died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1942, in Michigan to Wardall Crummel and Kitty James Crummel. She was a member of Falkville Senior Center.
She is survived by one son, Andy Bradford of Kalamazoo, Mich.; four daughters, Nancy May of Falkville, Kim May of Paw Paw, Mich. and Rubye Bradford and Shelby Bradford, both of Decatur; her mother, Kitty James Crummel of Michigan; three sisters, Nancy and Colleen, both of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Kitty of Fort Walton, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike May, Wayne Hill, Jackie Stracener, Thomas Hill, James May and Steven Henry.
Thomas R. Mitchell, Jr.

Full military graveside service for Thomas R. Mitchell, Jr., 83, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 11:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn., with the Rev. Jack Redfearn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Mitchell died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born September 12, 1920, in Kentucky to Thomas R. Mitchell, Sr. and Myrtle "Dutch" Forester Mitchell. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jellico, Tenn., was a member of the Air Force Association, retired Officers Association, Masonic Lodge, Reserve Officers Association and Kerbela Temple. Mr. Mitchell was a retired Air Force Pilot in the United States Air Force. He was the brother to the late Virginia Werner of Chattanooga.
He is survived by a step granddaughter, Patricia O. Long of Hartselle; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Velma Prince

Funeral for Velma Prince, 80, of Falkville Health Care Center, was Monday, Dec. 1, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carol Drinkard officiating.
Burial was in Red Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Prince died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born March 21, 1923, in Morgan County to Leroy Eddy and Margaret Stiles Eddy. She was a Southern Baptist and the widow of Elbert Prince.
She is survived by one brother, T. J. Eddy of Holly Pond; and three sisters, Helen Drinkard of Cullman, Lottie Wade, St. Cloud, Fla. and Lovie Ryan of Hanceville.
John 'Truitt' Parker

Funeral for John "Truitt" Parker, 77, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. T. Reynolds Hall officiating.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Parker died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born February 20, 1926, in Morgan County to John Leslie Parker and Martha Mae Garner Parker.
He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion, American Veterans of Huntsville, served in the United States Army during World War II, was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner and retired from BellSouth in Huntsville. He resided in Hartselle with Sim and Louise Garner, his cousins.
He is survived by several cousins.
Pallbearers were Otis Dutton, Fred Penn, Larry Charles Penn, Frank Ellis, Mike Buss and Scott Barnes.
Jessie I. Briscoe

Funeral for Jessie I. Briscoe, 86, of Somerville was Sunday, Nov. 30, at 2:30 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Coomer officiating.
Burial was in Blue Springs Cemetery.
Ms. Briscoe died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born July 19, 1917, in Morgan County to John Ezekiel Briscoe and Clara Elizabeth Gurley Briscoe.
She is survived by one nephew, Jack Briscoe of Bremen, Ga.; and one niece, Jean Cosby of Marietta, Ga.
Gayle Timphony Brown

Funeral for Gayle Timphony Brown, 61, of Hartselle was Monday, Dec. 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with Father Joseph Culotta officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
A rosary service was held Sunday, Nov. 30, from 6 to 6:30 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at her residence. She was born Feb. 6, 1942, in New Orleans, to Frank Timphony and Dorothy Timphony. She was a wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She was active at St. Ann School where she served on the school board. She also served on the Council of Catholic Women and was an active member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. William Alton "Billy" Brown of Hartselle; three sons, Mike Brown and wife Allison of Birmingham, Steve Brown and wife Louise of Decatur, and Chris Brown and wife Paige of Decatur; her parents; one brother, Louis Timphony of Oakland, Calif., and her grandparents, Louis and Hilda Timphony and Alf and Mary Torgorsen, all of New Orleans; and eight grandchildren, Katherine, Alice, Michael and McKee, all of Birmingham, and Ann Christian, Web, Kate and Landess, all of Decatur.
Pallbearers were John Hughes, Bob Chandler, Marcus Thublin, Ray Adkinson, Dennis Anderson, Gene Saywell, Owen Wright and Bill Knable.

A memorial service for Faye N. Reaves, 73, of Falkville will be Saturday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Church of God on West Lacon Road with the Rev. Milan Dekich officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Reaves died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Sept. 15, 1929, to T.D. Pressley and Flora Bell Pressley.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Reaves of Falkville; one daughter, Jamie Powers of Copley, Ohio; two brothers, Wayne Presley of Hartselle and Oval Pressley of Moore, Okla.; one sister, Sue Gittins of Falkville; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Emmett Nicholson Waldrep Jr.

Funeral for Emmett Nicholson Waldrep Jr., 77, of Trinity was Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Standridge officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Hartselle.
Mr. Waldrep died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2003, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1926, in Lawrence County to Emmett Nicholson Waldrep Sr. and Cora Estelle Rylant Waldrep. He was retired from the Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife after 25 years. He was a member of Caddo Congregational Christian Church and a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Melva Jo Slaten Waldrep of Trinity; one daughter, Lucretia Jo Mobbs of Pelham; three sons, B. Dwain Waldrep of Birmingham, Thomas Nicholson Waldrep of Trinity and Timothy Darin Waldrep of Moulton; one brother, Jack Waldrep of Decatur; two sisters, Eloise Logan of Flint and Sally Shumate of Maricopa, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Gabe Waldrep, Sam Waldrep, Wayne Hamby, Zach Poskevich, Tim Graham and Andrew McCay.
