Funeral for J.H. “Sonny” Barber, 78, of Hartselle was Friday, May 29, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wendell Callahan officiating.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Barber died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1931, in Morgan County to James Houston Barber Sr. and Daisy Clara Terrell Barber. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Barber.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Barber of Hartselle; a son, Terry Wayne Barber of Hartselle; a daughter, Kim Ozley and husband Mike of Stapleton; four sisters, Pauline Barber Evans and Betty Barber Brookover, both of Hartselle and Edith Barber Gray and Bobbie Barber White, both of Danville; and a grandchild, Josh Ozley of Stapleton.
Pallbearers were Fred White, D.L. Gray, Wayne Brookover, Tommy Russell, Harvey McCleskey and Tommy Parker.
Honorary pallbearer was Billy McDonald.

A memorial service for Jeffrey Jay Jensen, 56, of Hartselle will be Thursday (today), June 4, at 7 p.m. at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hartselle with Deacon Ellis Wayand officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Jensen died Sunday, May 30, 2009, in Cullman County. He was born March 5, 1953, to Jack B. Jensen and Phyllis Madonna Bingaman Jensen. He was a member of the Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hartselle.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Sue Jensen of Hartselle; a daughter, Morgen Ann Jensen of Hartselle; two brothers, Greg Jensen of Maryland and Patrick Jensen of California; three sisters, Vickie Robinson of Priceville; Jackie Thornton of Texas and Wilma Goldman of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.

Funeral for Ella Dean Smith, 69, of Falkville was Wednesday, June 3, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rilla Rangwalla officiating.
Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born October 13, 1939, in Morgan County to Lemmuel Rivers Turney and Susan Opal Sterling Turney. She will be remembered for her kindness, humor and delicious German chocolate cake. We are all better for having known her. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Smith.
She is survived by two sons, Gary and Scott; a daughter, Nichole; three grandchildren, Sarah, Katie and Emily; three great-grandchildren, Murphy, Miller and Monroe Howse; three sisters, Mildred, Dot and Hazel; and two brothers, Ray and Fletcher Turney.

Funeral for William L. Clotfel-ter, 84, of Somerville was Satur-day, May 30, at 1 p.m., at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Herman “Dink” Lambert and Dr. Charles Owens officiating.
Burial was in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Clotfelter died Friday, May 29, 2009, at his residence. He was born March 6, 1925, in Marshall County to Elmer Bernard Clotfelter and Annie Mae Linn Clotfelter. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a dairy farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Clotfelter of Somerville; a son, Lanny Clotfelter of Tuscumbia; a daughter, Lorie Clotfelter of Huntsville; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Adam Lambert, Jeff Lambert, Tony Lambert, Jerome Lambert, Ivan Trusler IV and Chris McMahan.
Mildred Simmons Reeder Appleton

Funeral for Mildred Simmons Reeder Appleton, 82, of Falkville was Monday, May 20, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Shaneyfelt and Rev. Milan Dekich officiating.
Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery in Cullman County.
Mrs. Appleton died Friday, May 17, 2002 at her residence. She was a homemaker, a member of the Fairview Church of God and active in community service.
She was an avid quilter and gardener. She was the widow of Royal Reeder and Elmer Appleton. She was the mother of the late Darlene Chenault and the sister of the late Kathryn Hudson and the late Altha Shaneyfelt.
She is survived by three sons, Bruce Reeder of Odenville, Johnny Appleton and Danny Appleton, both of Moulton; one daughter, Marty Appleton Smith of Hartselle; one brother, Leroy Simmons of Falkville; two sisters, Louise Harden of Falkville and Dot Tomlinson Hudson of Pell City; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Tommy Appleton, Waymon Appleton, Jerry Appleton, Bobby Appleton, Rob Hudson and Mitchell Tomlinson.
Agnes Pauline 'Polly' Hollis McDonald

Funeral for Agnes Pauline "Polly" Hollis McDonald, 74, of Maryville, Tenn., was Saturday, Oct. 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Priceville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rayburn Clarks officiating.
Burial was in Liberty Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Mrs. McDonald died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, at Blount County Hospital in Maryville, Tenn. A native of Lawrence County, she was a nursing assistant and a dietician. She was the mother of the late Margreat Elaine McDonald Masserelli and the sister of the late G.W. Hollis and the late Joe Hollis Jr.
She is survived by five sons, S.L. "Bill" McDonald and Barry Joe McDonald, both of Etheridge, Tenn., Robert McDonald of Fife Lake, Mich., Lamar McDonald of Texas and Johnny McDonald of Sevierville, Tenn.; three daughters, Sherry Owens of Hartselle, Brenda McDonald of Somerville and Debbie Huff of Seymour, Tenn.; one stepson, Edward McDonald of Addison; one brother, Wayne Hollis of Eva; one sister, Blanche Smallwood of Falkville; 23 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ricky Denson, Douglas Cameron Sr.; Anthoney Cameron, Marty Stringer, Jason Stringer, Steven Masserelli and Garry Landers.

Funeral for Louie Wayne Garrison, 58, of Hartselle was Friday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. at Tunsel Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Glenn Smallwood and the Rev. Danny Garrison officiating.
Burial was in Center Cemetery in Lawrence County with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Garrison died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003, at Hartselle Medical Center. A native of Morgan County, he was a member of Tunsel Road Baptist Church in Hartselle. He was the brother of the late Hershel Harris, Aaron Harris and Janice Price.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Steele Garrison of Hartselle; one son, Shannon Wayne Garrison of Hartselle; one daughter, Erin Deshonna Widner of Hartselle; two brothers, Melvin Lee Garrison of Moulton and Paul Quenton Garrison of Hartselle; three sisters, Hazel Holmes, Diane Sybert and Juanita Owens, all of Hartselle; two grandsons, Zackary Dakota Cole and Brannon Wayne Garrison; and two granddaughters, Cerria Marie Widner and Brittany Nicole Simmons.
Pallbearers were Henry Horton, Tim Garrison, Kris Owens, Josh Owens, Alan Garrison, Thomas Garrison, Doug Harris and Dennis Harris and Shane Garnett.

Burial was in Enon Cemetery at Eva.
Mr. Holmes died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. A native of Morgan County, he was a farmer and co-owner of Holmes Gin in Eva.
He is survived by his wife, Datchel Ryan Holmes of Eva; two daughters, Clovis Holmes of Eva and Annie Jo Key of Hartselle; one brother, Elvin Holmes of Eva; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
