Funeral for Jewell Loverne Rooks Monk, 78, of Decatur was Saturday, June 6, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brad Campbell officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Monk died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Cullman Healthcare & Rehab in Cullman. She was born March 31, 1931, in Lawrence County to William Arthur Rooks and Zillar Ann Rooks. She was a homemaker and the widow of Max E. Monk. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Elva Herchenhahn; and two brothers, Hoyt Rooks and Elbert Rooks.
She is survived by two sons, Greg Monk and David Monk and wife Zina, both of Decatur; a daughter, Cynthia Sparkman and husband Fred of Guntersville; four sisters, Delpha Hayes of Arley, Maxine Fuller of Hartselle, Shelby Green of Decatur and Nelda Karr of Danville; and two grandchildren, Sarah Monk and Deborah Monk.
Nephews were pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

A graveside service for June Long Stephenson, 77, of Birmingham was Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m. at Falkville City Cemetery with Dr. Penny Long Marler officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Stephenson died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at her residence. She was born October 25, 1931, in Morgan County to Howell A. Long and Sarah A. Summerford Long. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by a son, Glenn Stephenson and wife Kelli of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Shelly Williams and husband Gary of Birmingham; two grandsons, Stefan Zipf and Kiefen Zipf; three granddaughters, T.J. Ward and husband Dan, Corey Williams and Carson Williams, and two great-granddaughters, Elliot Ward and Charlotte Ward.

Funeral for Neal Graham, 57, of Eva was Sunday, June 7, at 3 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Weldon officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Graham died Friday, June 5, 2009, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born August 30, 1951, in Morgan County to L.E. Graham and Georgia Elna Holmes Graham. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. He was employed with the Hartselle Public Works Department and had previously worked for Mead Westvaco for 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Virgil Graham; and two sisters, Shelba Jean Graham and Peggy James.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Waldrop Graham of Eva; a son, Gregory Neal Graham and wife Jennifer of Eva; two daughters, Belinda Childers and husband Jim of Union Grove and Kristy Halbrooks and husband Pat of Hartselle; his mother, Georgia Elna Graham; a sister, Kay Graham Waldrop and husband Larry of Vinemont; and seven grandchildren, Brook Childers, Michael Childers, Elizabeth Hal-brooks, Elijah Halbrooks, Addison Graham, Lilly Graham and Haley Halbrooks.
Pallbearers were Luke Privett, Joe Miner, Stanley Graham, Jamie Holmes, Michael Halbrooks and Roger Aldridge.

Funeral for Ronald Carl Singleton, 50, of Nashville, Tenn. was Sunday, June 7, at 3:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Louie Singleton officiating.
Burial was in Gilliam Springs Cemetery near Arab.
Mr. Singleton died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Allive Hospice at Skyline Madison Campus in Madison, Tenn. He was born May 3, 1959, in Morgan County to Jason L. Singleton and Nola Hobson Singleton. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandchild, Anna Marie Singleton.
He is survived by a daughter, Crystal Singleton of Shelbyville, Tenn.; two brothers, Harold Singleton of Hartselle and Earl Singleton of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four sisters, Betty Bennett of Sewanee, Tenn., Joyce Cooper of Laverghe, Tenn., Ruth Patterson of Smyrna, Tenn. and Stella Singleton Pryor of Smyrna, Tenn.; a grandchild, Jasmine Singleton; 16 nephews and nieces; 20 great-nieces and great-nephews; and a great-grand nephew.
Pallbearers were Jonathan Pryor, Jeffery Pryor, Keith Pride, Louie Singleton, Randal Grisham and Jeffery Jones.
Ruth Seymour Martin

Funeral for Ruth Seymour Martin, 90, of Priceville was Monday, June 8, at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Somerville City Cemetery in Somerville, Tenn.
Mrs. Martin died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born December 24, 1918, in Lovelady, Tex. She was one of seven children born to Walter Henderson Poe and Janie Nora Dixson Poe. She lived most of her life in Memphis, Tenn. with her first husband, T.L. Seymour and their two sons. After the death of her second husband, Elmer Martin, she moved to Hartselle. She was always active in the Methodist church.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene T. Seymour of Bristol, Va. and Randall P. Seymour of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; two brothers, Paul Poe of Livingston, Tex. and W.H. Poe, Jr. of Pennington, Tex.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Dena Hite, 86, of Hartselle, was Wednesday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Tenn. with Peck Funeral Home directing and AKARD Funeral Home handling the arrangements in Bristol.
Mrs. Hite died Monday, June 1, 2009, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born September 20, 1922, to William Jefferson Durham and Sarah Durham.
She is survived by a daughter, Sonja Hite Fielding and husband Wathan of Hillsboro; a grandson, Les Warren and wife Lynn of Hartselle; a granddaughter, Brandi Fielding of Decatur; and three great-grandchildren, Mitchell Warren and Hannah Warren, both of Massey and Lotus Fielding of Decatur.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s or American Heart Association.

Mrs. Reed died Friday, May 29, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born September 22, 1928, in Bessemer to Leon and Beula Aldridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh M. Reed and her parents.
She is survived by a son, Ronald P. Reed and wife Linda of Hartselle; a brother, Gary Aldridge; several half brothers and sisters; a grandchild, Alison Reed of Hartselle; and two great-grandchildren, Hugh Mack Reed and Jesse Speegle.

Carter was the infant son of Jeffrey Ross and Jessica Dianne Jones of Priceville. He died Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital.

Mrs. South died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 19, 1935, in Morgan County to William Hall and Dixie Morgan Hall. She was a member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank South Jr. and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Anthony South and wife Carol and Tim South, all of Eva; a daughter, Janice Cooper of Eva; two brothers, Hollis Hall of Eva and Curtis Hall of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Eleanor Pearl Graham of Eva; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
