Darrell Cicero Hudgins
February 6, 2000

Funeral for Darrell Cicero Hudgins, 51, of Decatur was Wednesday, February 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gordon Woods and Raymond Stinson officiating.
Burial was in Oden Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Hudgins died Sunday, February 6, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a Baptist. He was a mechanic at Serra Toyota in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hudgins of Decatur; two sons, Steven D. Hudgins and Danny H. Hudgins, both of Falkville; one daughter, Jamie L. Smith of Decatur; one stepson, Michael P. Eubanks of Decatur; three stepdaughters, Lee Ann Young and Charline A. Weaver, both of North Carolina, and Sandra G. Meares of Florence; one brother, Johnny E. Hudgins of Birmingham; three sisters, Robie E. Brown of Hartselle, Lois Stinson of Eva and Judy M. Lackey of Falkville; seven grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dennis Berry, Donald Berry, Michael Eubanks, Roger Hayes, Tommy Ray Lackey and Perry Thorn.

Frances Tapscott
February 1, 2000

A graveside service for Frances Tapscott, 79, of Decatur was Friday, February 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Tapscott died Tuesday, February 1, 2000, at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a native of Jefferson County and a member of the Eagle's Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Hobert E. Tapscott of Hartselle and Frank L. Tapscott of Decatur; one brother, Tom Leach of Hoover; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

J.P. Owens
February 4, 2000

Funeral for J.P. Owens, 80, of Decatur was Monday, February 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Priceville Funeral Home with the Rev. James Henderson officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. Owens died Friday, February 4, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was a retired production supervisor for Norton Abrasive Co.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Cary Owens of Decatur; one son, Pete Owens of Decatur; two daughters, Norma Oglesbv of Somerville and Joan Turner of Denison, Tex.; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

James E. (Bud) Lewis
February 1, 2000

Funeral for James E. (Bud) Lewis, 67, of Priceville was Friday, February 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eric Mattox officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lewis died Tuesday, February 1, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mason E. Lewis, and a sister, Nannie Faye Roper.
He is survived by his wife, Donell Lewis of Priceville; two sons, James A. (Tony) Lewis of Somerville and Mark Christopher Lewis of Decatur; three daughters, Brenda Johnson and Donna Harper, both of Decatur, and Teresa Craig of Athens; six brothers, George Lewis, T.W. Lewis, Samuel E. Lewis and Charles K. Lewis, all of Decatur, Billy R. Lewis of Hartselle and Claude Lewis of Chicamauga, Ga.; two sisters, Mildred Guidioi of Decatur and Joyce Ann Burns of Las Vegas, Nev.; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Larry Lewis, Mike Lewis, Jimmy Phillips, Mathew Phillips, Keith Day and Scott Bryant.

Imogene Drinkard
February 3, 2000

Funeral for Imogene Drinkard, 70, of Cullman was Saturday, February 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Lawrence Cove Baptist Church with the Rev. Garry Bates officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Drinkard died Thursday, February 3, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton in Birmingham. She was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Mt. Olive Church of God. She was preceded in death by a son, Mitchell Holmes, and a daughter, Brenda Joyce Furr.
She is survived by one son, William Brasher of Mississippi; six daughters, Glenda Hartsock of Cullman, Barbara Jean Joyner of Ft. Walton, Fla., Janice Marie Coleman of Greenville, Juanita Busby and Debra Busby, both of Mobile, and Jane Cofield of Vinemont; three brothers, Avery Drinkard and Wheeler Drinkard, both of Cullman, and Thomas Drinkard of Lawrence Cove; three sisters, Sera Brasher, Mahala Drinkard and Geraldine Wood, all of Cullman; 18 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Clyde Henry Miller
February 4, 2000

A graveside service for Clyde Henry Miller, 77, of Adamsville was Sunday, February 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Methodist Cemetery in Cullman County with the Rev. Bill Justice officiating and Williams-McCracken Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Miller died Friday, February 4, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton in Birmingham. He was a native of Cullman County and a retired security guard at Eagle Security.
He is survived by his wife, Flora Drummond Miller of Adamsville; two sons, Clyde Miller, Jr., of Hartselle and William Michael Miller of Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter, Venida Murphy of Iowa; and two stepdaughters, Dianne Luna and Joan Lively, both of Bagley; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Michael Dean Blankenship
February 4, 2000

Michael Dean Blankenship, 37, of Baldwin Park, Calif., died Friday, February 4, 2000, from injuries he received in a gas heater explosion in his home on January 4.
He is survived by his father, Ralph Blankenship of Haysville, Kan.; two sons, nine and 11, of Baldwin Park; and several uncles, aunts and cousins who reside in Morgan County.

Robert C. Hardy
February 8, 2000

Funeral for Robert C. Hardy, 90, of Somerville will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Center Springs United Methodist Church with the Revs. Robert Ballew and Woodrow Franklin officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hardy died Tuesday, February 8, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Kentucky and a member of Center Springs Methodist Church.
He is survived by one son. Oneal Hardy of Decatur; seven daughters, Laverne Lemmond of Hartselle, Yetalee McCutcheon of Lacey's Spring, Faye Blankenship of Decatur, Bobby Taylor , Sue Cook, Frances Reeves and Elayne Clark, all of Somerville; one brother, Carter Hardy of Valhermoso Springs; and one sister, Sylvia Harbin of Madison Heights, Mich.
Pallbearers will be Clete Blankenship, Tony Cook, Larry Lemmond, Curtis Newsom, Charles Reeves and Bud Taylor.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Center Springs Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
