Funeral for Herman Benard Rogers, 78, of Decatur will be today at 4 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Walker officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Jan. 2, 1921, in Morgan County to Galaway and Nina Rogers. He was a member of Austinville First Baptist Church and retired from Fruehauf. He was the brother of the late Baby Nell Rogers and Evelyn Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gurstle Rogers; and one daughter, Martha Hudgins of Huntsville; one brother, Glenn Rogers of Decatur; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Members of his Sunday school class will be pallbearers.

Oscar Morris Vaughn

VACAVILLE, Calif. -- Funeral for Oscar Morris Vaughn, 71, of Vacaville, Calif., formerly of Decatur, will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at The Christian Church of Vacaville with the Rev. Su Schlagel officiating and Vaca Hills Chapel directing.
A private Burial will follow.
Mr. Vaughn died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Vaca Valley Hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1927, in Blount County. He grew up in Decatur and graduated from Decatur High School in 1945. later graduating from The University of Alabama. He moved to Solano County, Calif., 30 years ago. He was a pilot, flying cargo for Flying Tiger Airline/Federal Express for 42 years.
He is survived by one brother, Floyd Vaughn of Birmingham.
The family requests no flowers or memorials.
Randy Bailey
Funeral for Randy Bailey, 42, of Trinity will be Tuesday at Flat Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Nicky Pressnell officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Bailey died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Priceville. He was born Aug. 20, 1956, in Paw Paw, Mich., to Curtis and Cora Lee Kirby Bailey.
He is survived by his parents, Curtis and Cora Lee Bailey of Trinity; one brother, Jimmy Dale Bailey of Trinity; and one sister, Betty Drane of Trinity.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Bailey, Jason Bailey, Jamie Bailey, Ted Zaragosa, Chris Walker and Glen Kirby.
Ruel C. Buckelew

CULLMAN -- Funeral for Ruel C. Buckelew, 81, of Baileyton was to be today at 2 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Larry Duke officiating.
Burial was to be in Blair Cemetery.
Mr. Buckelew died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at his home. He was born Dec. 15, 1917, in Blair to Andrew Mike and Mamie Cruce Buckelew. He was a Hayes Aircraft retiree. He was the widower of Ila Lillian Buckelew.
He is survived by one son, Ralph Buckelew of Baileyton; one daughter, Reda Rodgers of Holly Pond; two brothers, Joe Buckelew and Jack Buckelew, both of Hartselle; one sister, Audrey Via of Gardendale; his stepmother, Eula Buckelew of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Burson died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1927, in Huttig, Ark., to Archie Lee Burson and Eunice Alvern Little Burson. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Huntsville. A retired Army master sergeant, he served in World War II and the Korean War, and was retired from Redstone Arsenal Missile and Civil Service.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia L. Burson of Hartselle; four sons, Archie J. Burson and Gary G. Burson, both of Savannah, Ga., Tony M. Burson of Cullman and Bradie L. Burson of Newport News, Va.; two daughters, Euna M. Lancaster of Charlotte, N.C., and Carolyn Cooper of Hartselle; one brother, Earnest Burson of Monroe, La.; two sisters, Marilyn Chrysel of Houston, Texas, and Maurell Thurman of Monroe, La.; and six grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Hanna; one son, Douglas Charles Hanna of Harrisburg; two stepdaughters, Alicia Dawn Hanna and Falon Michelle Hanna, both of Decatur; two brothers, Carey L. Terry of Danville and Greg Terry of Trinity; and one sister, Jean Nicole Melson of Decatur.

Mrs. Howard died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1915, in Hatton. She was a licensed practical nurse at Decatur General Hospital for 25 years and did private duty nursing for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was the widow of George Howard and the mother of the late Carter Howard.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Howard of Decatur; one daughter, Betty A. Cummings of Decatur; three brothers, Nolan Flannagin of Moulton, Clayton Flannagin of Killen and Billy Joe Flannagin of Florence; one sister, Selma Terry of Moulton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
