Funeral for the Rev. Edward Hardin, 64, of Somerville was Friday, January 14, at 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Revs. Dennis Ivey and Richard Craft officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Rev. Hardin died Wednesday, January 12, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County and pastor of Somerville Pentecostal Church. He also served as an evangelist for several area churches.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Hardin of Somerville; three sons, Timothy Edward Hardin of Arley, Adam D. Pylant of Falkville; and Michael D. Pylant of Danville; two daughters, Kimberly Ann Peters of Danville and Anita Darlene Russell of Falkville; four sisters, Claire Powell of Decatur, Zella Price of Double Springs, Edith Trocone of Huntsville and Retha Bowling of Hartselle; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Adam Pylant, Michael Pylant, Mac Russell, Gary Bowling, Carroll Skipworth and Carson Peters.

Funeral for Lorene Turner Sanders, 86, of Eva was Wednesday, January 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Eva United Methodist Church with the Revs. Grady McCullough and Fred Vincent officiating.
Burial was in Eva Cemetery with Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Sanders died Sunday, January 16, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Morgan County and a retired school cafeteria manager at Eva School.
She is survived by her husband, William R. (Bill) Sanders of Birmingham; one daughter, Geraldine Turner Miner of Eva; one sister, Pearl Puryear Cobb of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Hazel Josephine Johnston

Funeral for Hazel Josephine Johnson, 88, of Eva was Sunday, January 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Etha Baptist Church the Revs. Chuck Hanvey and Albert Bean Estes officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Williams-McCracken Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Johnson died Saturday, January 15, 2000, at Woodland Community Hospital in Cullman. She was a native of Blount County.
She is survived by one son, Roy W. Johnson of Columbia, Tenn.; three daughters, Barbara Hanvey and Ruth Bates, both of Eva, and Shirley Harris of Stockbridge, Ga.; one sister, Opie Kelley Oaks of Eva; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Clyde Waymond Rutherford

Funeral for Clyde Waymond Rutherford, 62, of Hillsboro was Saturday, January 15, at 3:00 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home in Moulton with the Rev. Tommy Bolden officiating.
Burial was in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Rutherford died Thursday, January 13, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrence County and a truck driver for Bowman Company.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Rutherford of Hillsboro; three sons, Allison Rutherford of Hillsboro, Wessley Rutherford of South Carolina and Mark Rutherford of Columbus, Miss.; his mother, Annie Rutherford of Hillsboro; six brothers, Ray Rutherford and Randall Rutherford, both of Hartselle, Steve Rutherford of Moulton, and Larry Rutherford, Burl Rutherford and Ronnie Rutherford, all of Trinity; three sisters, Joyce Engle of Hillsboro, Carolyn Sams of Trinity and Jeanette Blasingame of Decatur; and four grandchildren.
Bessie (Pepper) White

A memorial service for Bessie (Pepper) White, 75, of Decatur was Tuesday, January 18, at 3:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Decatur with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating. Peck Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Mrs. White died Sunday, January 16, 2000, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Decatur. She was a native of Texas and was retired from Equifax as a typist and field representative. She also was a member and Sunday school teacher at Southside Baptist Church. She participated in an outreach ministry at Capshaw Prison in Limestone County and was an officer of the Gideons Auxiliary. She also was a former leader in Brownies and Girls Scouts.
She is survived by her husband, D. Alan White of Decatur; one son, Dudley White of Hartselle; two daughters, Kathy Lewis of Athens and Cherie Beatty of Grand Saline, Tex.; one brother, Ted Prioux of Sinton, Tex.; two sisters, Laura Smith of Canadian, Tex., and Janice Hudson of Monroe, La.; and eight grandchildren.

A graveside service for Georgia Ann Summerford, infant, of Decatur was Wednesday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. Jeri Hunt officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
The infant was born Monday, January 10, in Decatur and died Tuesday, January 11, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital.
She is survived by her mother, Cherie Summerford of Decatur; her grandmother, Sherry Summerford of Hartselle; and her great grandmother, Lucy Roberts of Hartselle.
W.C. Poe

A graveside service for W.C. Poe, 78, of Cullman was Tuesday, January 11, at 12:00 noon at Bartee Cemetery in Lacey's Spring with the Rev. Smith E. Ledbetter officiating and Spry Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Poe died Sunday, January 9, 2000, at Cullman Long-term Care Nursing Home. He was a native of Morgan County and a World War II veteran. He was retired from the Civic Service.
He is survived by three daughters, Belinda Little of Moscow, Iowa, Judy Graham of Cullman and Kathy Goodpasture of Louisiana; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Guy Radford Ford

Funeral for Guy Radford Ford, 70, of Guntersville was Thursday, January 13, at 2:00 p.m. at Arab First Assembly of God with the Rev. Austin Ball officiating.
Burial was in Mount Oak Cemetery in Arab with Arab Memorial Chapel directing.
Mr. Ford died Monday, January 10, 2000, at Marshall Medical Center North. He was a native of Cullman County and a charter member of Arab First Assembly of God. He was retired from Youngblood Trucking, where he was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Ford of Guntersville; five sons, Mike Ford of Dracula, Ga., Bill Ford of Prattville, Jerry Briscoe of Lincoln Park, Mich., Gary Briscoe of Hartselle and Dan Briscoe of Birmingham; three daughters, Ann Watkins of Elmore, and Shirley Kritner and Kim Briscoe, both of Arab; one brother, Henry Ford of Albertville; two sisters, Tootsie Bates of Cullman and Burma Grubbs of Simcoe; 20 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Stella Reeder

Funeral for Stella Reeder. 93, of Chattanooga, formerly of Hartselle, was Monday, January 10, at Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Stitts officiating.
Burial was in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Reeder died Friday, January 7, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Morgan County, a member of Bayside Baptist Church and the Nancy Ward Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also was a former member of First Christian Church, where she taught a Sunday school class.
She was an author and genealogist. Among her books were "My Memories," 1906-1994, "My Memories II," 1906 -1997, and "Pardon My Southern Accent." She was actively researching 24 families, including Capt. Thomas Wallace, Beasley, Plemons and Powell. She was also a retired third grade teacher and the widow of William Marvin Reeder.
She is survived by one daughter, Jane Beasley Reeder of Chattanooga; one grandson; and four great grandchildren.
