Funeral for Charles Monroe Kimbril, 55, of Decatur was Friday, December 31, 1999, at 2:00 p.m. at Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home with the Revs. Wallace Willingham, Arlene Sutton and Raymond Sutton officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Kimbril died Tuesday, December 28, 1999, at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. He was a native of Cullman County and a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. He was a truck driver for Southern Moving Co.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Kimbril of Decatur; two sons, Charles (Chuck) Kimbril of Cleveland, Tenn., and Jason Shane Kimbril of Neel; one daughter, Tina Rene Kimbril of Decatur; one brother, Eugene Kimbril of Eva; two sisters, Eloise Dilbeck of Decatur and Geneva Nappier of Hartselle; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Bobby Ford, Sherman Dilbeck, Bradley Dilbeck, Dale Dilbeck, James Kimbril and L.C. Tackett.

A graveside service for Darrell Joe Knight, Sr., 61, of Decatur was Monday, January 3, at 1:00 p.m. at Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville with Hugh Bohlin and Mike King officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Knight died Saturday, January 1, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Haleyville and a self-employed auto mechanic. He was a 1957 graduate of Haleyville High School and played football under coach Bubba Scott on a team that was called the "winningest team in the state." He was a member of Ninth Avenue Church of Christ in Haleyville.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Kelly Knight of Decatur; two sons, Darrell Joe Knight, Jr., and Edward Bryan Knight, both of Hartselle; one daughter, Anne Marie Knight Hames of Decatur; two brothers, Oneal Knight of Haleyville and Jimmy Knight of Decatur; one sister, Margaret Elliott of Decatur; and six grandchildren.
Dwight L. South

Funeral for Dwight L. South, 78, of Decatur was Tuesday, January 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Holly Pond Cemetery with the Rev. J.B. Snyder officiating and Ridout's Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Mr. South died Saturday, January 1, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Blount County and a member of the former Grace Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran.
He is survived by two sons, Thomas L. South and Jimmy D. South, both of Hartselle; one sister, Carrie Martin of Blountsville; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Ollie Braswell Harris

A graveside service for Ollie Braswell Harris, 90, of Decatur was Friday, December 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Revs. Estus L. Harden and Thomas Elder officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Harris died Wednesday, December 29, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Basham United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Arnold (Dock) Harris.
She is survived by one son, Malcolm Harris of Guntersville; one daughter, Marie Dodson of Priceville; two brothers, Cecil Braswell and Chester Braswell, both of Decatur; two sisters, Odell Moore of Belle Mina and Katie Laney of Decatur; one stepsister, Daisy Mae Rose of Decatur; six grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.

Funeral for Mae Wes Lister Hayes, 61, of Repton was Sunday, January 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment, Fla., with Charles Golden and Frankie Bell officiating.
Burial was in Morgan Cemetery in Molino.
Mrs. Hayes died Friday, December 31, 1999, in Pensacola, Fla. She was a native of Gonzalez, Fla., and a former Decatur resident. She had lived in Repton for two years and was a member of Solid Rock Holiness Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Decatur.
She is survived by her husband, Rodgers Hayes of Repton; one son, Randy Davis of Pensacola; one daughter, Tina Ransom of Hartselle; three brothers, Homer B. (Red) Lister of Pensacola, Henry Lister of Brewton and Pete Lister of Atmore; one sister, Doris Jennings of Chumuckla, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Lister, Roy Lister, Lloyd Lister, Mabern Lister, Allen Weber and James Weber.
Alic Winford Townson

Funeral for Alic Winford Townson, 83, of Panama City, Fla., formerly of Decatur, was Wednesday, December 22, at 2:00 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church in Panama City with the Rev. Jack C. Coward officiating.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Panama City with Wilson Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Townson died Sunday, December 19, 1999, at his residence. He was a retired painter and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen Townson of Panama City; and one nephew, Oliver Townson of Hartselle.
Edith Davis Stewart

Funeral for Edith Davis Stewart, 82, of Etowah, Tenn., was Monday, January 3, at 11:00 a.m. at Bordwine Funeral Home with the Revs. Joe Crockett, David Teems and R.B. Bryan officiating.
Burial was in New Bethel Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart died Friday, December 31, 1999, at Woods Memorial Hospital in Etowah. She was a native of McMinn County, Tenn., the widow of Proyce Stewart and the mother of the late Pamela Stewart.
She is survived by three sons, Terry Stewart of Hartselle, and Ronnie Stewart and Kenny Stewart, both of Etowah; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Don Davis, Stanley Davis, Randy Davis, Scott Thompson, David Morgan and David Rayburn.
