Funeral for Arthur Emil Hankey, 76, of Cullman was Sunday, April 23, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold Hermetz officiating.
Burial was in Cullman City Cemetery with Williams-McCracken Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hankey died Friday, April 21, 2000, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Biloxi, Miss. He was a native of Cullman County and a mill operator for McLouth Steel Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by one son, Arthur Fred Hankey of Cullman; four daughters, Mildred Fredonia Asherbranner of Hartselle, Margaret Leigeber of Pell City, Mary Louise Golden of Fairview and Marilyn Ruth George of Eva; one sister, Frances Ruth Yates of Cullman; and seven grandchildren.
Herbert Hoover Luker

Funeral for Herbert Hoover Luker, 83, of Cullman was Thursday, April 20, at 1:00 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene with the Revs. Greg Story and James Walker officiating.
Burial was in Corinth West Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Luker died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and a ground foreman for Tennessee Valley Authority for 30 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, with service in the Aleutian Islands and the recipient of two bronze stars. He was the widower of Grace Stephenson Luker.
He is survived by one son, David Luker of Cullman; two daughters, Shirley Luker Jacobs of Phoenix, Ariz., and Judy Luker Yancy of Ft. Walton, Fla.; four sisters, Lottie Smith of Addison, Frances Harris of Falkville, Christine Roberts of Forrest Park, Ga., and Margaret Chenault of Huntsville; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Gradie Roberts

Funeral for Gradie Roberts, 79, of Moulton was Friday, April 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Hood officiating.
Burial was in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Morgan County and a building contractor. He was the brother of the late J.B. Roberts.
He is survived by his wife, Mary M. Roberts of Moulton; three sons, Gregory R. Roberts of Holly Springs, Ga., and Ferrell Farley and Jeff Farley, both of Town Creek; two daughters, Deborah R. Kennedy of Winnsboro, S.C., and Sandy R. Gulley of Trinity; two sisters, Martha R. Baker of Somerville and Betty R. Meals of Danville; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
His grandson and nephews were pallbearers.

Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
Mr. May died Friday, April 21, 2000, in Moulton. He was a native of Morgan County and a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Tinnie Melinda Franklin May of Moulton; three sons, Brice Clenton May and Curtis May, both of Moulton, and Clenton May of Trinity; seven daughters, Jewell Norris, Joann Alexander, Sandra Dean and Brenda Glover, all of Moulton, Patricia Jane Morton of Cullman, Glenda Wilhite of Trinity and Shirley Kelley of Hillsboro; three brothers, Toby May and James May, both of Decatur, and Hershel May of Hartselle; five sisters, Shirley Harris, Irene Minor and Joyce Wilhite, all of Decatur, Louise Hargrove of Tennessee and Ruby Hazel Morris, of Hartselle; 34 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joey May, Jimmy May, Ray Norris, Bobby Wilhite, Charles Thomas, Anthony Norris, Randy Alexander, Johnny Morton and Mike Morgan.
Mollie Nell Henderson

Funeral for Mollie Nell Henderson, 72, of Decatur was Wednesday, April 26, at 1:00 p.m. at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. John Z. Gray officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Henderson died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board, Deaconess Board and Missionary Society.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne Henderson and Kenneth Henderson, both of Decatur; eight daughters, Betty Bass, Joyce Mayes, Janice Henderson, Beverly Henderson and Sonja Mosley, all of Decatur, Ruth Henderson of Houston, Tex., Rachel Allen of Town Creek and Kathy Hampton of Dickinson, Tex.; one brother, Alfred Jackson of Thomaston, Ga.; six sisters, Margaret Pope of Hartselle, Margie Matthews of Mulga, Marie Simpson, Mildred Jackson and Merlene Foster, all of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Ann Britt of Suisun City, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Deacons of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church were pallbearers.

Mr. Butler died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Georgia and an electrical engineer for Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and father of the late Jack Mark Butler and Robert Rickland Butler.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Easterwood Butler of Athens; one son, Kenneth Butler of Eva; one daughter, Gloria Hill of Lanett; two brothers, Charles Ray Butler and Bill Butler, both of Fairview; and five grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Lydia King of Long County; two sons, Jeff King of Cullman and Chris King of Buna, Tex.; two daughters, Debbie Alter of South Dakota and Melissa Hancock of Texas; two stepsons, Paul Brown of Macon, Ga., and James Brown of Hinesville, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Michelle Altman of Townsend, Ga.; his mother, Wyonna King of Hartselle; two sisters, Susie McGhee of Hartselle and Peggy McCinney of South Carolina; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
