Funeral for Dan Draper, 81, of Somerville was Wednesday, April 12, at 12:00 noon at Curry's Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Mary Marshall officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining Cemetery with Sharpley Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Draper died Friday, April 7, 2000, at South Morgan Healthcare Center. He was a native of Morgan County and a retired farmer and contractor. He was the brother of the late Hubert Draper, Columbus Draper, L.C. Draper, Omma Lee Draper, Beatrice Jennings and Dora Black.
He is survived by one daughter, Merlene Chapman of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
Mearl Wigginton

Funeral for Mearl Wigginton, 83, of Somerville will be Friday, April 14, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewitt Crowe officiating.
Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Wigginton died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. She was a native of Morgan County.
She is survived by one son, James R. Wigginton of Vinemont; one daughter, Hazel Bowling of Hartselle; one sister, Lucille Henry of Pontotoc, Miss.; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Pat Hitt, David Majors, Larry West, Charles Wigginton, Robin Wigginton and Floyd Wigginton, Jr.
Robert E. Holmes

Funeral for Robert E. Holmes, 89, of Decatur was Monday, April 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Central Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Craig Carlisle officiating.
Burial was in Enon Cemetery in Eva with Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Holmes died Thursday, April 6, 2000, at Stinson House Assisted Living in Alabaster. He was a native of Morgan County and a member of Central Park Baptist Church. He was a welder at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville and the widow of Evelyn Robinson Holmes.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Rigg of Helena; three brothers, Pat Holmes of Wichita, Kan., A.P. Holmes of Eva and Lowell Holmes of Decatur; and two grandchildren.
Members of the Ezra Sunday School Class at Central Park Baptist Church were pallbearers.
Euna Hancock Chatham

Funeral for Euna Hancock Chatham, 90, of Decatur was Thursday, March 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Manly officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Chatham died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Cullman Country and a member of Southwest Baptist Church. She was the widow of Dewey Irving Chatham.
She is survived by one son, Larry Chatham of Hartselle; three daughters, Myra Carden of Gardendale, Doris Cavnar of Decatur and Janice Chatham Brackin of Cullman; one brother, J.A. (Buster) Hancock of Cullman; two sisters, Irene Swanson of Gardendale and Lila Trimble of Brewton; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Ward Holt Shelton

A graveside service for Ward Holt Shelton, 62, of Decatur was Thursday, April 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Basham Cemetery with the Rev. Estus L. Hardin officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Shelton died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was native of Morgan County and a self-employed home builder with Shelton Construction Co. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Lane Shelton of Decatur; one son, Steve W. Shelton of Decatur; three brothers, Thomas Shelton and Barney Shelton, both of Decatur, and Ben Shelton of Hartselle; one sister, Velma Shelton-Nesmith of Caddo; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Alan Shelton, Donnie Shelton, Keith Shelton, Rick Lott, Conley Aldredge and Gary Taylor.
Imogene Garrison Blankenship

Funeral for Imogene Garrison Blankenship, 87, of Decatur was Thursday, April 6, at 2:00 p.m. at New Friendship Baptist Church with the Revs. Wallace Willingham and Earl Holt officiating.
Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Blankenship died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. She was a native of Morgan County, a member of New Friendship Baptist Church and a food and nutrition specialist. She was a 50-year member of Morgan County Home Demonstration Club and a recipient of the Outstanding Leadership Award from the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Clayton O. Blankenship, and one brother, Ameron P. Garrison.
She is survived by one son, Leverette Lemond Blankenship of Decatur; one daughter, Eleanor Fran Blankenship of Decatur; one brother, Homer Lyle Garrison of Somerville; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Neito Garrison, Gursham Garrison, Jimmy Sharp, Charles Taylor, Darryl Moody, and C.W. Gibson.
Honorary pallbearers were Doug Moody, Shane Carter, Joel Lemmon, Bob Taylor, Wayne Parker and Gary Glover.

Mr. Adair died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Lawrence County and employed by Bankhead Forest Industrial, Inc. as a sawmill worker.
He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Adair of Addison; six brothers, Glyn Johnson and Leon Johnson, both of Danville, James Sapp of Decatur, Wendell Sapp of Town Creek, and Denford Sapp and Kenneth Sapp, both of Trinity; four sisters, Naline Nelms, Cassie Nelms, Doris Way and Linda Decatur, all of Trinity; and two grandchildren.
