Funeral for Azalee (Mama Dobbs) Ellis, 92, of Somerville was Friday, February 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Whitt Wray and Tommy Smothers officiating.
Burial was in Moulton City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ellis died Tuesday, February 22, 2000, at Heritage Manor Health Care Center. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Butler Ellis, one son, Virgil W. Dobbs, Sr., and one grandson, Virgil W. Dobbs, Jr.
She is survived by one son, Bobby W. Dobbs of Athens; one daughter, Josephine Berry of Somerville; one adopted daughter, Mary Brzecyz of Joliet, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Marie Dodd of Moulton; and one brother, J.E. Matthews, Jr., of Vacaville, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great grandchildren; and four step- great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Donnie Barber, Randy Berry, Rodney Berry, Ronnie Thomas, Mark Hatfield, Kenneth Sams and Robert Taylor.

Funeral for Elsie K. Brown, 69, of Danville was Thursday, February 24, at 2:00 p.m. at Andrews Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. John Gallion officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Brown died Wednesday, February 23, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Andrews Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Buel Brown of Danville; four brothers, William Smith and Edward C. Smith, both of Falkville, John Paul Smith of Cullman and Roy T. Smith of Vermillion, Ohio; and two sisters, Louise Smith of Danville and Irene Cutchens of Falkville.
Nephews were pallbearers.

Burial was in Montgomery Cemetery.
Mrs. Jackson died Friday, February 25, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Lawrence County.
She is survived by two sisters, Hilda Tucker of Decatur and Melba Chenault of Danville.
Trebie R. Reid

Mrs. Reid died Sunday, February 27, 2000, at Parkview Nursing Home in Huntsville. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Tillman Reid of Danville; one daughter, Jean Chambers of Huntsville; three sisters, Vivian Allen of Baileyton, Avel Randolph of Madison and Wilda Lawrence of Hartselle; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Grandsons and nephews were pallbearers.

Burial was in Alexander and Welborn Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilburn died Thursday, February 24, 2000, at Hendrix Nursing Home in Double Springs. She was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Aldridge Grove Church of Christ.
She is survived by two sons, Curtis Wilburn of Danville and Cadle Wilburn of Moulton; one brother, Jim Curtis of Hartselle; two sisters, Ethel Smith and Grace Vinson , both of Hartselle; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Wilburn, Pascal Wilburn, Brad Thrasher, Casey Reed, Nikki Reno and Chris Wilburn.
James Gilbert Sellers

Funeral for James Gilbert Sellers, 68, of Decatur was Friday, February 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with Rex C. Grey officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Sellers died Tuesday, February 22, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Flat Rock, Ky., and retired from Union Camp, where he was a foreman. He was the widower of Hyllis Young Sellers and the half-brother of late Buck Staffey.
He is survived by one son, James Michael Sellers of Muscle Shoals; four daughters, Judy Flowers of Somerville, Joanne Bamman of Hartselle, Joyce Palese of Norridge, Ill., and Jeanie Goodwin of Decatur; his mother, Angela Powell Sellers of Flat Rock; two brothers, Tom Sellars of Stearns, Ky, and Bill Sellers of Paxton, Ky.; 16 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Patricia Jackson Weathers, 65, of Trinity was Friday, February 25, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Duane Maas officiating.
Mrs. Weathers died Wednesday, February 23, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Scott, Miss. and a former English, Latin and mythology teacher at Austin High and a teacher in Saudia Arabia. She was an alumna of Mississippi University of Women and a past president of the Trinity Area Senior Citizens organization.
She is survived by her husband, Hoyt Melton Weathers of Trinity; three daughters, Lea Ann Vogt of Hartselle, Susan Lynn Weston of Niceville, Fla., and Jan Louise Thatcher of Decatur; one brother, Col. (ret.) Harold Lee Jackson, Jr., of Pensacola, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
