Funeral for Charles B. Plyler, Sr., of Virginia Beach, Va., was Wednesday, May 3, at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J.C. Raynor officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Plyler died Thursday, April 27, 2000, at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. He was a native of Jacksonville, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Linda G. Plyler, Sr. of Virginia Beach; two sons, Charles B. Plyler, Jr., of Melbourne, Fla., and Kenneth Plyler of Dora; one daughter, Dorothy Oaks of Calera; one brother, Ralph Plyler of Bessemer; two sisters, Linda Merchant of Bessemer and Delta Finley of Calera; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Lyle Reed Holladay

Funeral for Lyle Reed Holladay, 61, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Morgan County, was Wednesday, May 3, at 2:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Wayne Penn and Dan Compton officiating.
Burial was in East Franklin Cemetery near Phil Campbell.
Mr. Holladay died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at Columbia Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. He was a native of Morgan County and a Baptist. He was a graduate of Danville High School. Athens State College and the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He was a teacher in the Morgan County School System and Alaska School System where he retired in 1996. He served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman during the Vietnam War. His teaching career took him to Alaska where he taught science at the North Pole Middle School and Fairbanks North Star Borough Schools.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Willingham Holladay of Las Vegas; two daughters, Laura Ann Shankleford and Amy Lynn Holladay, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Essie Holladay of Hartselle; one brother, Kyle Holladay of Danville; three sisters, Doris Puckett of Danville, Sonja Holladay of Hartselle and Kathy Hildie of Fairbanks; and two grandchildren
Cousins were pallbearers.
Robert R. (Bob) Higdon

Funeral for Robert R. (Bob) Higdon, 81, of Hartselle was Wednesday, May 10, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Weaver officiating.
Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Higdon died Monday, May 8, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Cullman County and a retired steel fabricator for ESPCO. He attended Salem United Methodist Church for 48 years.
He is survived by his wife, Melba Owen Higdon of Hartselle; one son, Robert O. Higdon of Massey; two daughters, Sondra R. Pitman of Hartselle and Carol H. Holladay of Huntsville; one brother, Ralph Higdon of Cullman; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Scott Holladay, Jason Pitman, Chance Higdon, Bob Miller, Bud Cole and Stewart Nesmith.
Irene Roberts Christian

Funeral for Irene Roberts Christian, 91, of Danville was Saturday, May 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodger White officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Christian died Thursday, May 4, 2000, at Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation Center in Decatur. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Harmony Grove Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Christian, a daughter, Marie Christian Marrow, a brother, Ernest Roberts and a sister, Essie Lauderdale.
She is survived by one brother, Allie Roberts of Danville.
Pallbearers were Mike Champion, David Christian, Jimmy George, Jimmy Jett, Ronnie Long, Tommy Perry and Mitchell Rigel.
Pauline Morgan

Funeral for Pauline Morgan, 85, of Eva was Monday, May 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Etha Baptist Church with the Rev. Odom Hawkins officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Morgan died Saturday, May 6, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Cullman County, the widow of Oran Morgan and the mother of the late Jack Morgan, Barry Morgan and Mary Elizabeth Morgan.
She is survived by five sons, V.P. Morgan of Cullman, Clyde Morgan of Eva, Dwayne Morgan of Hayden, Dick Morgan of Decatur and Ronnie Morgan of Scottsboro; three daughters, Glenda Reese Pack of Birmingham, Gennett McKay of Calera and Tina McElroy of Baileyton; one brother, Bud Roberts of Cullman; two sisters, Irene Hollaway of Hartselle and Vivian Cornett of Lacey's Spring; 21 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Burial was in Corinth Northwest Cemetery in Vinemont.
Mrs. Braswell died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. She was a native of Cullman County and the sister of the late Laverne Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Noah T. Braswell of Vinemont; two daughters, Dorinda Dale Shedd of Vinemont and Connie Taft Murphy of Hartselle; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four step- great grandchildren.
Robert L. Griffith

A graveside service for Robert L. Griffith, 78, of Falkville was Tuesday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Revs. Hal Noble and David Herndon officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Griffith died Sunday, May 7, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was a native of Morgan County and retired from Civil Service employee. He was a veteran of World War who served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy Sea Bees. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Glynn Grisham Griffith.
He is survived by three sons, Dennis Griffith of Decatur, Warren Griffith of Fayette and Duke Griffith of Cullman; one daughter, Gail Griffith of Falkville; 11 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charles Griffith, George Griffith, Henry Griffith, Leslie Griffith, Donald Sparks and Dave Suski.
