Funeral for Edward Felton Goodson, 77, of Lacey's Spring will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Eldridge Criscoe officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Goodson died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Dec. 30, 1921, in Morgan County to Myrtle Morrow and Overby Jefferson "Boss" Goodson. He was retired from 3M in Decatur, a member of Rescue United Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Felton Goodson of Morgan City and Ralph Edward Goodson of Lacey's Spring; and one granddaughter.

Clarence Melvin Hormel Sr.
60, construction foreman

HARTSELLE -- Graveside service for Clarence Melvin Hormel Sr., 60, of Hartselle will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Hormel died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Nov. 3, 1939, in Morgan County to Charles Milio and Clara Darlene Puckett Hormel. He was a foreman with Davis Construction Co.

He is survived by one son, Clarence M. "Bo" Hormel Jr. of Eva; three daughters, Cathy Hormel Quattlebaum and Cindi Hormel Kelso, both of Hartselle, and Janice Sue Hormel of Decatur; one brother, Joseph Hormel of Hartselle; two sisters, Grace Elizabeth Hollaway and Clara Darlene Hormel, both of Hartselle; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be James Brooks, Jimmy Ray Self, Steve Ward, Jeff Ward, William Guy Hollaway Jr. and Juston Cain Roper.

June Jarrett

Graveside service for June Jarrett, 63, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Cave Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Standridge officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jarrett died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born June 6, 1936, in Wyoming.

She is survived by two sons, William Allen Fralick of Columbus, Ohio, and John L. Fralick of Florida; one daughter, Christine Fralick of Decatur; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lyle Olen Kelsoe
65, Redstone Arsenal retiree

TRINITY -- Funeral for Lyle Olen Kelsoe, 65, of Speake will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with J.C. Graves and Darrell Thornton officiating.

Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Kelsoe died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born April 2, 1934, in Lawrence County to J. Leldon and Trudie Weaver Kelsoe. He was retired from Redstone Arsenal, where he worked 30 years with the Department of Defense in the calibration lab. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of Hillsboro Heights Church of Christ in Moulton.

He is survived by his wife, Mignonette Warren Kelsoe; three sons, Warren Rea Kelsoe of Pensacola, Fla., Gregory Lyle Kelsoe of Orlando, Fla., and Todd Olen Kelsoe of Speake; his parents of Speake; one brother, Houston W. Kelsoe of Falkville; one sister, Margaret Kelsoe Richard of Speake; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Crumley, Andy Weems, Steve Hutto, Eddie Dean Kelsoe, Roy Houston Kelsoe and Phillip Warren.

Millard Harold O'Bar
89, mail carrier

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Millard Harold O'Bar, 89, of Hartselle will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church with the Rev. Don Rice officiating.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6 to 8 at Peck Funeral Home.

Mr. O'Bar died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Oct. 3, 1910, in Morgan County to John William and Ivy Leona Stewart O'Bar. He was a city mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, a member of the American Legion, and a lifetime member and deacon of First Christian Church. He was the brother of the late William Carl O'Bar.

He is survived by his wife, Era Mae Lee O'Bar; and one sister, Elaine O'Bar Smith of Hartselle.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Dahlgren, Buford Lawrence and deacons of First Christian Church.

Thomas JacksonSibley
93, church deacon

MOULTON -- Funeral for Thomas Jackson Sibley, 93, of Mount Hope will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mount Hope Baptist Church with Bryan Hall officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Mr. Sibley died Saturday, Nov. 27, 1999, at National Health Care. He was born Aug. 28, 1906, in Lawrence County. He was a deacon at Mount Hope Baptist Church. He was the widower of Velma Alverson Sibley and Inez Atwood Sibley, and the brother of the late Neal Sibley, Grady Sibley, Erol Sibley and Merrill Sibley.

He is survived by two sons, Dan Sibley of Columbus, Miss., and Jerry Sibley of Mount Hope; one stepson, Billy Atwood of Mount Hope; one sister, Jessie Mae Ferguson of Tampa, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Mount Hope Baptist Church, 7771 County Road 23, Mount Hope, AL 35651.

Pallbearers will be deacons of Mount Hope Baptist Church.

Mattie Lee Winn
98, homemaker

Funeral for Mattie Lee Winn, 98, of Moulton will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Freeman Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Rev. H.N. Snodgrass officiating.

Burial will be Moulton Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. The body will be in the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Winn died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. She was born Oct. 30, 1901, in Lawrence County to Grant and Alma Campbell McBride. She was a homemaker, a member of Freeman Tabernacle Baptist Church and served on the Missionary Society.

She is survived by one stepson, Tony Webb of Moulton.

Pallbearers will be Joe Jackson, Ed Pruitt, Allen Webb, George Webb, Florence Webb and Winford Jackson.

Jeanette Edgar

MOULTON -- Funeral for Jeanette Edgar, 65, of Russellville will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. William Briley officiating.

Burial will be in Ferguson Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Miss Edgar died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at her home. She was born Aug. 12, 1934, in Lawrence County to Homer and Bessie Stokes Edgar. She was the sister of the late Jack Edgar and Keferd Edgar.

She is survived by one brother, Oscar Edgar of Russellville; and one sister, Vernell McKay of Russellville.

Cousins will be pallbearers.

Marie Stephenson Howell

Funeral service for Marie Stephenson Howell, 79, of Decatur will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with Irvin Himmel and the Rev. Dr. Dwayne McDuff officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Howell died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at her home. She was born Feb. 19, 1920, in Morgan County to Wiley E. and Dora G. Sparkman Stephenson. She was a homemaker and also a retired employee of Coca-Cola and Kentucky Fried Chicken. She was the oldest living member of Austinville United Methodist Church, a charter member of Alabama Business Women's Association and a member of the Pilot Club.

She is survived by her husband, James A. Howell; two daughters, Jackie Cheatham of Decatur and Mary Fields of Foley; one sister, Martha Tanner of Kalamazoo, Mich.; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Al Cheatham Jr., Allen Cheatham, T.J. Braswell, David Wood, Billie Puckett and Chris Jackson.

Friends at River City Bowl will be honorary pallbearers.

Madge Hill McWhorter
96, homemaker

TRINITY -- Funeral for Madge Hill McWhorter, 96, of Moulton will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Kyle McWhorter, Ray McWhorter, Max McWhorter and O.D. Bowling officiating.

Burial will be in McWhorter Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. McWhorter died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Decatur. She was born Nov. 22, 1902, in Lawrence County to William and Cora Pitt Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of Midway Church of Christ. She was the widow of William H. McWhorter Sr. She was the mother of the late Hugh McWhorter.

She is survived by three sons, Kyle McWhorter, Max McWhorter and Ray McWhorter, all of Moulton; one daughter, Elizabeth Bowling of Moulton; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Sons and grandsons will be pallbearers.
