Funeral for Riggle S. Alexander, 85, of Danville was Thursday, May 18, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Estus Harding officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Alexander died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. He was a native of Lawrence County and a member of Johnson Chapel United Methodist. He was retired from Baker Industries, where he worked in tool and die.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle Alexander of Danville; three sons, Farish Alexander of Decatur, Waymon Alexander and Benard Alexander, both of Hartselle; one brother, Elmer Alexander of Trinity; nine grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
Willard Oscar Pepper

Funeral for Willard Oscar Pepper, 72, of Eva was Monday, May 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Gum Pond Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Dan Hopper officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hopper died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Blount County and a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lily Holmes Hopper of Eva; one daughter, Nancy Thompson of Eva; one brother, J.L. Hopper of Eva; three sisters, Christine Leeth of Falkville and Patsy Walden and Wilda Ellenburg, both of Hartselle; and two grandchildren.

Funeral for Kathy Trammell, 50, of Lacey's Spring was Wednesday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at Valhalla Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Mills officiating.
Burial was in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Trammell died Friday, May 19, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a sales clerk for the Nabisco Food Group.
She is survived by her husband, Dallas Trammell of Lacey's Spring; one son, Zachary Trammell of Lacey's Spring; three daughters, Tonya Mackinaw of Birmingham, and Tamie Morrow and Ana Trammel, both of Lacey's Spring; one sister, Bridgett Fields of Decatur; and one granddaughter.

A memorial service for Ted Scott Schmelter, 48, of Decatur was Sunday, May 21, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Revs. David Lewis and Duane Maas officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Schmelter died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Antigo, Wis., and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was a truck driver for Schneider Transportation and a member of the Decatur Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was the brother of the late Linda Ruf.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Schmelter of Decatur; three sons, Ted Scott Schmelter, Jr., of Falkville, and Devin Schmelter and Skylar Schmelter, both of Decatur; his father and stepmother, Earl and Gloria Schmelter of Antigo; seven brothers, Nick Schmelter of Oscoda, Mich., Bob Stickney, Dave Sitckney, Jerry Stickney, Ken Stickney and Marlin Stickney, all of Antigo, and Joe Stickney of Grafton, Wis.; seven sisters, Shelly Gehrke of Wausau, Wis., Karen Henke and Gloria Jean Stickney, both of Antigo, Ann Jahl of Appleton, Wis., Marilyn Prepster of Sheboygan, Wis., Gail Schoepke of Tigerton, Wis. and Theresa Steele of Athens; and two grandchildren.

Burial was in Courtland City Cemetery with Parkway Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Tolbert died Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at University Hospital in Birmingham. He was a native of Lawrence County and a retired farmer. He was the father of the late Steven Tolbert.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Tolbert of Courtland; five sons, Billy Ray Tolbert, Ronnie Tolbert, Jeffrey Tolbert and Danny Tolbert, all of Courtland, and Tommy Tolbert of Muscle Shoals; five daughters, Joyce Norton and Joan Appleton, both of Decatur, Jean Stewart of Hartselle, Janet Malay of Courtland and Julia Praitano of Mobile; two brothers, Hubert Tolbert of Wayne, Ohio, and Eugene Tolbert of Westmillgrove, Ohio; two sisters, Lorene Williams of Wayne, Ohio and Helen Steiner of Fostoria, Ohio; 21 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mitch Tolbert, Kevin Tolbert, Jeremy Stewart, Jarrod Brewer, Butch Tolbert, and Delta Weeks.

A graveside service for Danny Roy Sterling, 37, of Toney was Tuesday, May 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Rock Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery with William Ward officiating and Cullman Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Sterling died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Marshall County and a benefits administrator for the Social Security Administration.
He is survived by his mother, Irene Harris of Fairview; five brothers, Pete Sterling of Good Hope, Jimmy Henry of Nicholson, Ga., Leon Harris of Winder, Ga., James Sterling of Cold Springs and Michael Sterling of Falkville; five sisters, Mary Dean Mangum of Summit, Marie Allen of Monroe, Ga., Barbara Ford of Fairview, Doris Holmes of Vinemont and Anita Fowler of Falkville.

Mr. Roden died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn. He was a native of Marshall County and a member of the Assembly of God. He was a service technician with Roto Rooter.
He is survived by his wife, Katina Weeks Roden of Hillsboro; one daughter, Leeanna Faye Roden of Hillsboro; his mother, Lavonda Blackwell of Lacey's Spring; and one sister, Robin Watwood of Knoxville, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Tony Harris, Wade Moon, Mike Sweatmon and Brad Grady.
