Brenda Lampkin Orr
June 1, 2000

Funeral for Brenda Lampkin Orr, 56, of Hartselle was Tuesday, June 6, at 12:00 noon, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hartselle with Tex Gray officiating.
Burial was in Campground Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Orr died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center. She was a native of Morgan County and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Orr; two sons, Hilton Chatman of Huntsville and Fred Chatman of Hartselle; two daughters, Hilma Chatman and Karen (Tina) Williams, both of Hartselle; one stepdaughter, Kimette Jackson of Hartselle; two brothers, Lewis Lampkin and Hilton Lampkin, both of Hartselle; two sisters, Carolyn Orr and Christine Allen, both of Hartselle; and six grandchildren.

Florein Johnson
June 2, 2000

Funeral for Florein Johnson, 89, of Danville was Sunday, June 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. E.L. Hardin officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was a native of Morgan County.
She is survived by one son, Ralph Johnson of Danville; two sisters, Lola Mae Johnson of Birmingham and Zola Standridge of Moulton; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Nephews were pallbearers.

Hannah Rose Smith
May 29, 2000
Funeral for infant Hannah Rose Smith of Falkville was Friday, June 2, at 1:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Carrol officiating.
Burial was in Moss Chapel Cemetery.
The baby was born and died on Monday, May 29, 2000, at University Hospital in Birmingham.
She is survived by her father, Roger D. Smith, Jr., and mother, Bertha L. Cryer, both of Falkville; one sister, Oddessia Willis of Falkville; and grandparents, Roger and JoAnne Smith of Brooksville and L.C. and Brenda Cryer of Falkville.
Pallbearers were Nick Brown, Adam Cryer, Daniel Cryer, Robert Smith, Dewayne Vinson and Naaman Vinson.

William Luther (Bill) Mayfield
June 1, 2000

Funeral for William Luther (Bill) Mayfield, 82, of Decatur was Friday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Bud Mayfield officiating.
Burial was in Bishop Cemetery.
Mr. Mayfield died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Lawrence County and a retired assistant fire chief at Decatur Fire Department after 38 years. He was the widower of Lois Marie Mayfield. He is survived by three sons, Noel Mayfield and Gary Mayfield, both of Decatur, and Mitchell Mayfield of Greenville, S.C.; three daughters, Beverly McNabb of Decatur, Judy Bell of Kissimmee, Fla., and Rita Wallace of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, Johnny Mayfield of Falkville; 15 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Decatur Fire and Rescue Department employees were pallbearers.

Basil L. Collins
June 2, 2000

Funeral for Basil L. Collins, 86, of Decatur was Sunday, June 4, at 1:00 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville with the Revs. Wayne Bowden and Donald Stephens officiating.
Burial was in Faith Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Collins died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a native of Giles County, Tenn., and was retired from the Illinois school system. He was the widower of Eula (Marie) Collins.
He is survived by one brother, Dean Collins of Decatur; two sisters, Lela Green of Cedar Lake, Ill., and Frances Smith of Winchester, Tenn.; one half-brother, Lewis Collins of Lacey's Spring; and two half-sisters, Rachel Yates and Georgia Shed, both of Cullman.

Ina Beatrice McCaghren
June 2, 2000

Funeral for Ina Beatrice McCaghren, 75, of Decatur was Sunday, June 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Waymon Fike officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. McCaghren died Friday, June 2, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Lorenzo, Tenn. and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a retired school lunchroom attendant and the widow of Hollis A. McCaghren.
She is survived by one son, David L. McCaghren of Hartselle; one sister, Dorothy Kilpatrick of St. Cloud, Fla.; and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Benny Burns, Dennis Vinson, Mac Burns, Richard Baker, Bill Jones and Ed Groves.

Nona Brown Sivley McMillan
June 4, 2000

A graveside service for Nona Brown Sivley McMillan, 97, of Decatur was Wednesday, June 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Summerford officiating.
Mrs. McMillan died Sunday, June 4, 2000, at NHC Nursing Home in Moulton. She was a native of Lawrence County and a genealogist. She wrote "The Sivley Story," which traces family roots from Pennsylvania to Huntsville. She was a descendent of Joseph Sivley, an early settler of Huntsville who moved there at the same time as John Hunt for whom the city is named. She was the widow of Dee Floyd McMillan.
She is survived by one son, Harold McMillan of Huntsville; one daughter, Sibyl Watson of Decatur; three brothers, Guy Sivley of Hartselle and Walter Sivley and Wendell Sivley, both of Moulton; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
