Funeral for Mary Lee Brandon, 86, of Vinemont was Friday, July 28, at 1:30 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home in Cullman with the Revs. Michael Gunter and Larry Bashaw officiating.
Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mrs. Brandon died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, in Cullman. She was a native of Cullman County and a retired supervisor for Porter Mills.
She is survived by her husband, Asa P. Brandon of Vinemont; three sons, Jerry M. Brandon and Don P. Brandon, both of Anderson, Ind., and Asa L. Brandon of Vinemont; two brothers, S.T. Nesmith of Kokomo, Ind., and Jimmy Nesmith of Hartselle; one sister, Myron Chappell of Cullman; nine grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

Funeral for Marie M. Hood, 87, of Decatur was Saturday, January 4, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Keith Pope and Dan Moran officiating.
Burial was in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Mrs. Hood died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at Summerford Nursing Home. A native of Alabama, she was a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church and retired from the Austin High School cafeteria. She was the widow of Vernon Hood.
She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Hood of Decatur and Mike Hood of Hattiesburg, Miss.; five daughters, Marcella Moore, Barbara Hogan and Sue Rogers, all of Decatur, Jean Cottingham of Hartselle and Debbie Moran of Birmingham; one sister, Dorothy Carter of Decatur; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

Funeral for Lorene Callahan Hill, 61, of Lacey's Spring was Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Royce Teague officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Hill died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at Huntsville Hospital. A native of Morgan County, she was the sister of the late George Callahan, Franklin Callahan, Lucy Childers, Edna Callahan and Mattie Reeves. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, James Hill of Lacey's Spring; one daughter, Jennifer Collier of Cullman; one brother, Robert Callahan of Hartselle; two sisters, Pauline Maples and Janet Eddy, both of Hartselle; and one grandson.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Eddy, Shane Beasley, Ronnie Reeves, Adam Massey, Samuel Massey and Shane McCormick.
Leonard "Orlo" Summerford

Funeral for Leonard "Orlo" Summerford, 83, of Eva was Saturday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Brooks and Billy Gable officiating.
A military burial service was at Union Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Summerford died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, in Huntsville. A native of Morgan County, he was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, a U.S. Army World War II veteran and a prisoner of war for one year. He was a farmer and construction worker.
He is survived by his wife, Mattie Lou Summerford of Eva; and one sister, Jewel Holloway of Eva.
Pallbearers were Jermey Wood, Josh Wood, Cale Runge, Ricky Bracken, Loyd Parsons and Tim Barnett.
Ida Irene Sterling

Funeral for Ida Irene Sterling, 74, of Cullman was Sunday, July 30, at 3:00 p.m. at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Butts officiating.
Burial was in Rock Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Sterling died Friday, July 28, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Marshall County and was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Sterling, and a son, Danny Sterling.
She is survived by four sons, Jimmy Henry of Nicholson, Ga., Leon Harris of Winder, Ga., James Sterling of Cold Springs and Michael Sterling of Falkville; one stepson, Pete Sterling of Good Hope; three daughters, Barbara Ford of Fairview, Doris Holmes of Vinemont and Anita Fowler of Falkville; two stepdaughters, Mary Dean Mangum of Summit and Marie Allen of Monroe, Ga.; three brothers, James Harris of Winder, T.V. Harris of Pendergrass, Ga., and J.C. Harris of Bethlehem, Ga.; two sisters, Frances Ward and Ann Eberhart, both of Winder; 18 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

Funeral for Ruth Puckett Archer Southern, 84, of Gadsden was Friday, July 28, at Collier-Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Gadsden with Dr. Tommy Ferguson officiating.
Mrs. Southern died Monday, July 28, 2000, in Mobile. She was a residence of Hartselle for a short time and attended the First Baptist Church. She had lived in the Gadsden area most of her life. She was a member of Goodyear Heights Baptist Church and retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of T. C. Archer, Jr. and James Fred Southern.
She is survived by two daughters, Lila Kay of Hartselle and Dr. Sara Lynn Andrews of Mobile; three stepdaughters, Dianne Lowe and Wanda Allen, both of Gadsden and Janice Blue of Longwood, Fla.; one stepson, James Anthony Southern of Gadsden; two sisters, Ada Peacock of Gadsden, Ella McCoy of Hokes Bluff; one brother, Ernest Puckett of Hokes Bluff; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Burial will be in Enon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Burns died Tuesday, August 1, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Indiana and was preceded in death by his father, Edward Myron Burns. He was a manager at Webb Wheel, a member of the US Navy and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Kelley Burns of Vinemont; two sons, Kenneth Paul Burns of Columbus, Ohio and Steven Gary Burns of Dallas, Tex.; one daughter, Janean Cordes of Eva; his mother, Wilma Johnson Burns of Brownsburg, Ind.; two brothers, James Burns of Brownsburg, Ind., and Bruce Burns of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Judith Jackson of Bokellia, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
