Cora A. Garmany
July 23, 2000

Funeral for Cora M. Garmany, 84, of Decatur was Wednesday, July 26, at 2:00 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home Chapel in Center with the Rev. Phillip Sessions officiating.
Burial was in Unity Cemetery in Cherokee County.
Mrs. Garmany died Sunday, July 23, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was a native of Cherokee County.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow (Woody) Garmany of Decatur; two sons, Wesley Garmany of Danville and Gary Garmany of Decatur; one daughter, Gloria Jean Craig of San Bernardino, Calif.; two stepsons, Gerald Garmany of Lafayette, Ga., and Donald Garmany of Chickamauga, Ga.; one stepdaughter, Betty Lorance of Trion, Ga.; two sisters, Faye Moon of Centre and Flora Stancil of Somerville, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.

William Gene (Bill) Kennedy
July 25, 2000

Funeral for William Gene (Bill) Kennedy, 65, of Decatur will be Friday, July 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. W.L. Cole officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Kennedy died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Bessemer and retired from Decatur Housing Authority. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of BPOE #655-Masonic Lodge of Decatur, VFW Post 4190, Eagles Lodge of Decatur.
He is survived by two sons, William G. (Bill) Kennedy, Jr., of Falkville and Jeff Kennedy of Ryan; two daughters, Wanda Gene Gibson of Mobile and Gladys Street of Bristol, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of BPOE Lodge #655.

Jeanette Owens Wiley
July 16, 2000

Funeral for Jeanette Owens Wiley, 70, of Hartselle was Wednesday, July 19, at 3:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry DeBell officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wiley died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a member of Shepard Baptist Church in Chattanooga and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church east of Hartselle. She was retired as insurance counselor at Hartselle Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Billy J. Wiley of Hartselle; one son, Paul Wiley of Hartselle; two daughters, Sandra Call of Birmingham and Vivian Fawbush of Hartselle; four sisters, Mavis Snell, Gladys Wiley, Lillian Roberts and Myra Vinzant, all of Hartselle; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Larry Dutton, Jeffrey Roberts, Jeremy Vinzant, Michael Vinzant, Alan Wiley, Danny Wiley, Scott Wiley and Steve Wiley.

Jimmy Wayne Baugher
July 13, 2000

Funeral for Jimmy Wayne Baugher, 58, of Hartselle was Sunday, July 16, at 3:00 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Wilson officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Baugher died Thursday, July 13, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. He was a native of Limestone County and a member of First Baptist Church. He was an electrician at Solutia, Inc., (formerly Monsanto).
He is survived by his wife, Anita Baugher of Hartselle; three sons, Patrick Baugher and Bart Baugher, both of Hartselle, and Bryant Baugher of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Paige McDaniel of Hartselle; his mother, Juanita Henderson of Athens; one brother, Mike Baugher of Huntsville; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Heath Baugher, Garland Bennett, Claud Lavender, Randy Perkins, Don Pouncey and Craig Segars.

Martha Corine Copeland
July 16, 2000

Funeral for Martha Corine Copeland, 67, of Hartselle was Wednesday, July 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Karl Johnson officiating.
Burial was in Falkville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Copeland died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was a native of Morgan County and worked at Goodyear as a machine operator.
She is survived by her husband, Brownie Neal Copeland of Hartselle; two sons, Timothy Neal Copeland and Ricky Copeland, both of Hartselle; one daughter, Tracy Perkins of Decatur; one brother, Zelmer McNutt of Hartselle; one sister, Emma Lou Dunn of Falkville; five grandchildren; ands two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Whitney Copeland, Seth Copeland, Chris Copeland, Judson Copeland, Justin Powell and Jeff Copeland.

Sarah Ellen (Sallie) Dutton
July 16, 2000

Funeral for Sarah Ellen (Sallie) Dutton, 96, of Falkville was Tuesday, July 18, at 3:00 p.m. at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Miller officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Dutton died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was a native of Morgan County and a member of Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, James (Sandy) Dutton and a daughter, Dorothy Dunkin.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jo Dutton Foote of Hartselle; one brother, O.C. Wiley of Hartselle; one sister, Francis Tapscott of Hartselle; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Shannon Ferguson, Timmy Foote, John Foote, Jerald Wiley, Jimmy Dunkin, Dustin Dunkin and Chris Grant.

Elva Doris Chambers
July 15, 2000

Funeral for Elva Doris Chambers, 71, of Summerford Nursing Home was Monday, July 17, at 3:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Truman Carter officiating.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Chambers died Saturday, July 15, 2000, at her residence. She was a native of Marion County, a self-employed seamstress and a restaurant owner and operator.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Marcum of Glenn Allen and Micky Chambers of Hartselle; one brother, Wayne Ingram of Winfield; one sister, Irene Davis of Tallassee; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dennis Marcum and Micky Chambers.
