Funeral for Venie Kent, 81, of Somerville was Wednesday, July 19, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewitt Crow officiating.
Burial was in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Kent died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at Decatur General Hospital. She was a native of Flora, Tenn., and the widow of Marvin Kent.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Kent and Jimmy Kent, both of Somerville; one daughter, Pernie Kennings of Lacey's Spring; eight grandchildren; two step-grandsons; 11 great grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert Murphy, Rodney Murphy, Arthur Murphy, Phillip Edison, Bo Ballinger and Joshua Ballinger.
Louella Cook

Funeral for Louella Cook, 79, of Somerville was Tuesday, July 18, at Decatur Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. John T. White officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Miss Cook died Saturday, July 15, 2000, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. She was a native of Morgan County and a former employee of Quaker Oats Co. She was a member of Decatur Christian Fellowship Church and a foster grandparent of Community Action.
She is survived by 16 cousins.
Pallbearers were Harold Johnson, Billy Cook, Thomas Johnson, Steve Taylor, Michael Ridge and Kenneth Ridge.
Dakota Ryan (Cody) Hill

A graveside service for infant Dakota Ryan (Cody) Hill, of Elkmont was Saturday, July 15, at 11:30 a.m. at Sylone Cemetery in Elkmont with the Rev. George E. Bracey officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
The infant died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, on the day of his birth, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur.
He is survived by his parents, Brian Hill and Staci Taylor Hill of Elkmont; his grandparents, Neal and Gayle Hill of Huntland, Tenn., Joan Hill of Elkmont and Ned and Sherry Taylor of Athens; his great grandparents, Boss and Annie Hill of Elkmont, Curtis and Daisy Davis of Decatur, the Rev. George Bracey and Belle Bracey of Rogersville and Mack and Opal Taylor of Hartselle; and his great great grandmother, Sallie Taylor of Athens.

Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips died Saturday, July 15, 2000, at Hartselle Medical Center.
She was a native of Marion County and a member of First Assembly of God and the Newcomers Club. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marlene Cooper Lewis, Dan Richard Lewis and Henry Jerome Lewis.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Phillips of Hartselle; one son, Tracy Poling of Guin; two brothers, Hot Harlan Lewis of Spanish Fort and Ray Pinkston Lewis of Tallahassee, Fla.; four sisters, Margie Maylene Kelley of Adrian, Mich., Germie Nell White of Cullman; Nellie Jean Nix of Bryan, Ohio, and Judy Ann Taylor of South Bend, Ind.
Pallbearers were Bruce Phillips, Harlin Lewis, Ray Lewis, Jesse White, Oliver Davidson and Ray Lewis Jr.

Funeral for Carson Dean (Scooby) Phillips, two, of Caddo was Thursday, July 13, at 12:00 noon at Parkway Funeral Home with the Revs. Joe Phillips and Steve Agee officiating.
Burial was in Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
The child died Monday, July 10, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County and the grandson of the late David Phillips and Madonna Phillips.
He is survived by his parents, Robert Phillips and Gloria (Tootie) Phillips of Trinity; his grandparents, Tommy Riggs and Annie Riggs of Hartselle; and Mike Gaines and Boots Gaines of Phoenix, Ariz.
Pallbearers were Brian Griffin, Allen McAbee, Bo Seagrist, Charles Hosey, Billy Joe Harrell, Aaron McAbee and Ken McElwayne.

A graveside service was at 12:30 a.m. at Decatur City Cemetery.
Mr. Terry died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, at his residence. He was a native of Morgan County, a World War II veteran, a member of the Eagles and was retired from the city of Madison Street Department.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Terry of Huntsville; two sons, Michael Terry and Byron Terry, both of California; three daughters, Pat Taylor and Jean Miller, both of Decatur, and Jimmy Lynn Terry of California; one stepson, Larry Hill of Huntsville; one stepdaughter, Angie Helms of Huntsville; one brother, Woody Terry of Memphis; five sisters, Bobby Jean Reeves and Loretta Cothern, both of Decatur; Lois Lott of Hartselle; Gloria Hilse of Missouri and Judy Long of Illinois; 14 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fedusenko died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at Huntsville Hospital. She was a native of Newfoundland, Canada, and a member of Oakwood College Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Fedusenko of Hartselle; three sons, Robert Fedusenko of Huntsville, David Fedusenko of Miami, Fla., and James Fedusenko of Beach Grove, Tenn; one brother, Roy Curtis of Ontario, Canada; one sister, Violet Prouty of Ontario, Canada; and nine grandchildren.
