HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Sue R. Ross, 68, of Hartselle will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Hartselle First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Bates officiating.
Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ross died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1930, in Morgan County to Frank and Nellie Mae Bennett Robinson.
She was vice president of Citizens Bank of Hartselle and continued to serve in that capacity after the bank was acquired by SouthTrust Bank. She retired after 39 years. She was a member and treasurer of the First United Methodist Church of Hartselle for many years and a circle leader of the United Methodist Women. She was the sister of the late M.B. Robinson.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Ross; one brother, William F. Robinson of Falkville; and four sisters, Gene Buckelew and Sarah Wallace, both of Hartselle, Mary Robinson of Falkville and Betty Jo Scott of Bay Minette.
Pallbearers will be David Ross, Patrick Buckelew, Billy Buckelew, Jerry Robinson, David Robinson and Ray Robinson.
Jackie Ellis Willhite

Funeral for Jackie Ellis Willhite, 65, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Strickland officiating.

Mr. Willhite died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Sept. 11, 1933, in Parham, Miss. He was retired from his own roofing business.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Lucille Willhite; five sons, Danny Wade Willhite, Ronnie Ray Willhite, Dennis Willhite and Ricky Willhite, all of Aberdeen, Miss., and Thomas Andrew Willhite of Starkville, Miss.; two daughters, Sabrina Leah Martin of Aberdeen and Jackie Elaine Willhite of Decatur; one brother, Kermit Vernon Willhite of Jackson, Miss.; two sisters, Carolyn Willhite and Jodie Morris, both of Aberdeen; and eight grandchildren.

HARTSELLE -- Funeral for Archie J. Burson, 72, of Hartselle was to be today at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Hammond officiating.
Military Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Burson died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born July 12, 1927, in Huttig, Ark., to Archie Lee Burson and Eunice Alvern Little Burson. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Huntsville. A retired Army master sergeant, he served in World War II and the Korean War, and was retired from Redstone Arsenal Missile and Civil Service.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia L. Burson of Hartselle; four sons, Archie J. Burson and Gary G. Burson, both of Savannah, Ga., Tony M. Burson of Cullman and Bradie L. Burson of Newport News, Va.; two daughters, Euna M. Lancaster of Charlotte, N.C., and Carolyn Cooper of Hartselle; one brother, Earnest Burson of Monroe, La.; two sisters, Marilyn Chrysel of Houston, Texas, and Maurell Thurman of Monroe, La.; and seven grandchildren.

Mrs. Carter died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Pulaski. She was born May 16, 1914, in Nashville. She was a retired bookkeeper.
She is survived by one son, Lucian C. Carter Jr. of Dallas, Georgia; three sisters, Alice Wilkes Rogers and Margaret Wilkes Jones, both of Athens, and Helen Wilkes Hill of Ardmore, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Drinkard died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at Cullman Long Term Care. He was born Aug. 22, 1910, in Morgan County to Thompson and Roberta Grizzard Drinkard. He was a farmer.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Gerald Drinkard of Eva and Glenn Wendell Drinkard of Holly Pond; one sister, Doriene Whisenhunt of Ryans Cross Roads; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Samuel Mizell Eich Jr.

MONTGOMERY -- Funeral for Samuel Mizell Eich Jr., 79, of Montgomery, a former resident of Decatur for 21 years, was to be today at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karl Stegall, Bishop Paul Duffey, the Rev. Torrence Maxey and the Rev. Rusty Hutson officiating.
Burial was to be in Tuskegee Cemetery with Brooks-Cargile Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Eich died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at Jackson Hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 8, 1920, in Tuskegee. He earned a bachelor of science degree and a master's degree in agricultural science at Auburn University. He retired from the Alabama Cooperative Extensive Service after 31 years of service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, where he served in the Tower Class, Heritage Club and the Fix-It-Shop. He lived in Montgomery for the past 12 years.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edna Earle Eich; one son, Sam Eich of Green sboro, N.C.; three daughters, Nancy McGuire of Jackson, Miss., Margaret Eich of Barrington, Ill., and Emily Brehmer of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Mabry, Parker Narrows, Bob Varner, Jim O'Hara, Herman Marks, Jody Thompson and Bob Gentry. Members of the Tower Sunday school class will be honorary pallbearers.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Hopkins; one daughter, Sherry Coffey of Rogersville; his mother and stepfather, Lillie Mae and Otto Ball of Athens; two brothers, Freeman Hopkins of Somerville and Robbie Hopkins of Trinity; two sisters, Maxine Maples of Madison and Lynda Ares of Harvest; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Johnson died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at his home. He was born Feb. 1, 1947, in Lawrence County to Omie and Mary Francis Johnson. He was a self-employed mechanic. He was the brother of the late Truit Johnson and Doyle Johnson.
He is survived by one brother, Travis Johnson of Moulton; and three sisters, Martha Blankenship, Sue Fuller and Shelia Braidfoot, all of Moulton.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie Livingston Jones; one son, Dayton Jones of Moulton; two daughters, Sandra Givens and Sharlyne Hopkins, both of Moulton; five brothers, Benford Jones, Aubie Jones, Rayburn Jones and Fieldee Jones, all of Moulton, and Boother Jones of Huntsville; three sisters, Clezell Grimes, Gay Livingston and Willodean Letson, all of Moulton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
