Mr. Witt died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, in Cleveland. He was born April 9, 1940, in Town Creek. He was a carpenter, millwright and worked for Aladdin Mills in Dalton, Tenn. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Witt; two sons, Steven Witt and Gwyneth "Buddy" Witt, both of Cleveland; one daughter, Sherrie Long of Cleveland; his mother, Eula Witt of Town Creek; five brothers, Vinnis Witt of Moulton, Densel Witt of Florence, Wayne Witt and Larry Witt, both of Town Creek, and Ed Witt of Madison; and two sisters, Margaret Blankenship of Decatur and Martha Hughes of Courtland.

Mrs. Fleischman died Monday, Dec. 6, 1999, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born May 30, 1929, in Middletown, Ohio. She was the former music director at Bicentennial Chapel and was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph E. Fleischman; three sons, Edmund Fleischman and James Fleischman, both of Huntsville, and John Fleischman of Hartselle; four daughters, Deborah Fleischman, Anne Thorpe and Irene Fleischman, all of Huntsville, and Mary Ross of Missoula, Mont.; three brothers, Patrick Monaghan, David Monaghan and Michael Monaghan, all of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Max Bramlage of Dayton and Deborah Law of Owasso, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren.

ARECIBO, Puerto Rico -- Funeral for Antonio Gonzalez, 94, of Arecibo was Nov. 28, 1999, at Calvary United Methodist Church of Arecibo with the Rev. Felipe Sotomayor and the Rev. Gildo Sanchez officiating.
Burial was in Municipal City Cemetery with Gonzalez Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Gonzalez died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999, at his home. He was born May 12, 1905, in Utuado, Puerto Rico. He owned various grocery stores in Puerto Rico until his retirement. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church for 60 years and served as pastor when needed.
He is survived by his wife, Obdulia Gonzalez; two sons, Dr. Herman Gonzalez of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Dr. Eduardo Gonzalez of Moulton; one daughter, Yolanda Hernandez of Hollywood, Fla.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hood died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born March 19, 1940, in Lawrence County to James E. and Mary Etta Hood. He was a Missionary Baptist minister for 21 years, preaching in churches in Lawrence and Franklin counties. He was the brother of the late James Lee Hood and Pauline Hood.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Parker Hood; one son, Douglas Hood of Moulton; one daughter, Sheila Smith of Moulton; three brothers, Amos Hood and Wilson Hood, both of Moulton, and Paul Dempsey Hood of Oklahoma; two sisters, Frances White and Mary Wilburn, both of Moulton; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Cadle Wilburn, Billy White, Jimmy Parker, Bobby Parker, Randy Strickland and Randell Helms.

Mrs. King died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999, at her home. She was born March 27, 1936, to Robert and Rebecca Schrimsher in Limestone County, where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Church of Christ, a 1954 graduate of Athens High School and a computer programmer/analyst.
She is survived by her husband, James D. King; one daughter, Jennifer King Cantrell of Athens; her mother of Athens; two sisters, Mildred Johnston and Bonnie Snoddy, both of Athens; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Proctor died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1999, at Parkway Medical Center Hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Lawrence County to Luther Francis and Sara Dixon Proctor. He was a veteran of World War II and a warehouseman for Tennessee Valley Authority.
He is survived by his wife, Willie Myrl Proctor; five sons, Francis Proctor and Darrel Proctor, both of Danville, Clinton Proctor of Frazier, Pa., Doyle Proctor of Haleyville and Eddie Proctor of Piedmont; five daughters, Margaret Hampton and Teresa Cameron, both of Hartselle, Dorothy MeLemore of Woodstock, Ga., Reanee Watkins of Prospect, Tenn., and Belinda Rittenbery of Dalton, Ga.; one brother, Travis Proctor of Moulton; one sister, Stella Goodwin of Moulton; 29 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hamilton died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999, at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham. She was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Lawrence County to James L. and Maggie D. Stewart. She was a homemaker and a member of New Antioch Church of Christ. She was the widow of Jesse McKelvy and Ludie Hamilton, and the mother of the late Donald Wayne McKelvy.
She is survived by three sons, James McKelvy of Lacey's Spring, and Dwight McKelvy and Andy McKelvy, both of Hillsboro; two brothers, Austin Stewart and Hershel Stewart, both of Hillsboro; two sisters, Eva Kadlec of Decatur and Marie Moultrie of Moulton; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and eight great-step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Looney died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, in Cedartown. She was born April 2, 1911, in Battle Creek, Mich., to Lee W. Smith and Cleo Donna Pearce Smith. A homemaker, she was a member of Basham United Methodist Church and St. Clair Historical Society. She was a life member and past commander of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She was the widow of John Looney and the mother of the late Jacqueline Hile and Janet Farnsworth.
She is survived by one son, John W. Looney of Decatur; two daughters, Marcia Millsap of Cedartown and Carolyn Nousianen of Trout Creek, Mich.; one brother, Pete Covel of Battle Creek; three sisters, Kathryn Berridge of Battle Creek, Arlene Brown of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Frances Malott of Augusta, Mich.; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Terry died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at home. He was born Oct. 2, 1908, in Lawrence County to Johnny Q. Terry and Tiller Owens Terry. A former three-term mayor of Hillsboro, he was a retired farmer and a former employee of Tennessee Valley Authority. He was the father of the late James Lewis Terry.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Terry; one son, Ervin Terry Jr. of Decatur; four granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Clearman; two sons, Charles B. Clearman Jr. of Town Creek and Derrick Thomas of Atlanta; one daughter, Debbie Ament of Speake; one sister, Mary Jo Logue of Athens, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
